Shirley Baptist was the original owner of SCRAP APPLE. Her HEART and GENEROSITY to the quilting community in St. George was felt by all of us!!!! SEW YEAH that purchased SCRAP APPLE from Shirley's estate has ruined the reputation of the name! The Sew Yeah owners DO NOT support the quilting community in St. George!!!! When you walk thru their doors you are NOT welcomed into the store or most times even acknowledged you are there! The store does not inspire you with projects that can be made with their beautiful fabrics. You feel like you are walking into a library that has fabric instead of books! Shirley's hospitality and support of the quilting community in St. George is GREATLY missed. Sew Yeah should actually change the Scrap Apple name and not completely ruin the image and reputation that was so lovingly created by the original owner. read more

Had a lovely visit at this shop! I was in St. George on vacation so I stopped in. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had lots of cute stuff. I happened to go during one of their flash sales and got a great deal on all my fat quarters! Would shop here again! read more

This shop has beautiful fabric and the most unfriendly staff I have encountered in all the shops I have been in across the US. I don't normally write a review that's poor unless the staff is not helpful or gives you the feeling that you need to hurry up and get out. read more

So I understand that staff is concerned about covid, but telling you to stand 6 or more feet away while they cut is just nonsense. They have no problem accepting money right out of your hand so why insult someone by asking them to stand back. If you're that afraid maybe you should not be working in a service job. read more

Wow!! Everyone told me I had to stop in as we drove through St George, and they were right! Tons of fabric for every style and occasion. One of the best batik collections I've every seen! I could have spent the entire day! Nice seating area for patient hubbies (which mine is not!) too. I dare you to spend any time there at all and come out without a new project! Not inexpensive, but typically priced for a LQS. Staff is welcoming, friendly and immensely helpful without being intrusive. Looks like they have awesome class projects to sign up for...wish I lived closer! read more

PLEASE ... if you are Southern Utah's Quilting Destination ... PROMINENTLY display your hours of operation on your website & other media. I had to go to the Contact Us page to FINALLY find your hours. When people are traveling, they need to know when you open and close so they can plan their travel. For anyone reading this review, their website says they open at 10:00 am, Tuesday thru Saturday. read more

Very nice selection but customer service is geared towards the locals and friends. Two ladies walked in ahead of me and were greeted, I received nothing which I thought was strange especially when the salesperson remained at the register and just watched me walk in. After pacing and waiting approximately 8 minutes with a bolt in my hand waiting for service I was ready to walk out. The two sales ladies were chatting about various classes and patterns with the two locals and seemed agitated when one had to come and cut my fabric being that she said nothing to me. Stopped in because of the reviews but won't return. I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

This is fabulous quilt store! They have a wide variety of fabrics and a multitude of choices of each variety. I travel through St, George at least twice a year and this store is now a definite stop! The reason I love this store so much is because of their discount area, huge, many choices and very good price. I usually go into that area first. Their fabrics are high quality so the discount is a good bargain. The store has lots of quilt examples and a huge selection of beautiful fabrics. read more

Fantastic Quilt Store! The staff is helpful, happy and very nice. The selection of fabrics is amazing. This has become my "go-to" store. They always have new selections and it is the perfect sanctuary for a quilter or someone who is into crafting. I have also had many quilts quilted here and Gayle is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. They also have great classes. The employees and the owner are the teachers and I always learn so much! You can also go to "finish it Friday" if you just need to be around other people doing the same thing for a day. They charge a small fee ( they have a teacher there as well) and you also get a little discount for attending. Don't miss this fantastic store if you need good quality fabric!! This store is a class act! Such talent and willingness to help and teach. I wish i lived closer but always a stop when in St George. To the reviewer regarding buying supplies at Walmart and taking them back to the store-- did it ever occur to you that these "Supplies" may have been needed during a class for the students? Of course I'm sure you are a " professional " quilter and understand thoroughly....... Hands down. Best store in St George!!!!! read more
