SEW YEAH that purchased SCRAP APPLE from Shirley's estate has ruined the reputation of the name! The Sew Yeah owners DO NOT support the quilting community in St. George!!!! When you walk thru their doors you are NOT welcomed into the store or most times even acknowledged you are there! The store does not inspire you with projects that can be made with their beautiful fabrics. You feel like you are walking into a library that has fabric instead of books! Shirley's hospitality and support of the quilting community in St. George is GREATLY missed. Sew Yeah should actually change the Scrap Apple name and not completely ruin the image and reputation that was so lovingly created by the original owner.

They stood next to me the whole time. I asked one woman if they carried a certain foot, she went off " looking for more information". After 15 minutes she came back to the counter and started folding fabric again. She was the only worker that would speak to me. I had money to spend but I guess having children with you means 'do not help'. At that point I left. Walking out my 5 year old asked, ' we aren't buying anything?' I said 'not now', loud enough for the two ladies behind the desk to hear me. I didn't want to drive to Las Vegas but it is looking like that will be the plan. Wanted to have a local shop where I could upgrade my machine and get accessories. Not the case here.

I have an old chaise lounge that my husband slept on while he was a little boy. It was in his…read moregrandfather's den, and as a three year old, he'd fall asleep on it. It was red & white checkered fabric, which is all he remembers. I had it reupholstered in California about ten years ago, but through several moves, the old fabric just got dingy and faded. I contacted two stores in St. George to do the upholstery. One could not be bothered and told me to go to Saville Upholstery, and they were happy to take on the project. They did a marvelous job on the chair. We found the right red & white checkered fabric, and we discussed some changes. It took them about two weeks to get it done from order to finish. I am not sure why folks gave this business a one or two star rating because they were responsive, the took care of a family treasure, and they worked with me on getting fabric samples and picking the right one. I would highly recommend them for any upholstery. job. I'll add some before and after pictures. The before pictures show a ruffled bottom, while the other one shows a nice clean edged finished on the bottom.
