So over the years, I accumulated some heavy metal junk and I definitely did not want to just put it in my residential trash so I decided to take it off to a local scrapyard. Scrap it was the closest yard to me and it looked like it had a pretty good review so I decided to load my car and drive over to see how much I can get. The entrance to the scrap yard is on a street with actually other scrap yards. The entrance is highly visible and all you have to do is actually drive in and they have someone to help direct you to the right location to stop. They can pretty much tell if you need help so they walked right up to my window asked a few questions and had me popped the trunk so that they can take a magnet and start checking out my metal scrap. He identified which pile goes where and told me where to park the car but he first had me drive over the weight scale, to take the initial weight. He then basically told me to park in front of one pile unload, came back to weigh in again and then went to the second pile unload and came back to weigh in again. He printed me a receipt to bring to the pay office. I also had a big box of miscellaneous scrap metal, which he said I can just put inside a bin and cart it into the facility for a manual inspection. Overall, it was actually a pretty easy process. The workers they were actually very professional courteous and they were not condescending at all like they knew I was not familiar with the process and just guided me the whole way. They steal, plain and simple. I got a bad feeling after not weighing my scrap wire in advance so I decided to weigh at home. They took 44lbs off the MC I brought, and even 4lbs off the bright copper. Basically kept 25% for themselves. Guys, if you're not making enough just give worse exchange rates but be honest about weight. read more

Prices are fair, but not even getting close to the weight. Either the scales are off or the guy running them is cheating the customer.

I love this place. Instead of going to city hall and buying a $25 sticker to put on an old appliance for trash day, you just bring it here and they give you money for recycling it. Best part is the staff has personalities and they gladly explain how to get rid of different types of scrap metal (different areas of the yard for different types of metal). read more

People in this business are courteous and helpful to make you see things clear about pricing on your metals. Conditions at the premises are good to move around, you just need to be careful not to run over things with your truck that could affect your tires. So by no means am I an expert at scrapping for a living, but yesterday I dropped by this scrap yard to drop off two old refrigerators from my family's home in Chelsea. Since I am accustomed to having to pay to throw away refrigerators in my home town, I was surprised when the employee here gave us a $10 slip for our load. The final thing that I have to say is that they staff here is hilarious and made me laugh as we weighed in eventually leave. In the end, great scrap yard with great staff. read more

I had a 30 yard dumpster dropped at my house and I filled it up with old snow blowers and tractors.i went to get my check and scrap it deducted 1500 pounds for tires then 250 for the dumpster. I ended up getting under 500 for all that metal. I figured maybe 250 pounds for tires. I spoke to the manager in Everett and he said the dumpster not hear for me to look at it so I got screwed be careful dealing with these people at scrap it they don't loose sleep when the rob you. I have a 12 foot trailer and when I load that up I get about the same as what they give me for the 30 yard dumpster. Never use them again read more

I hate when it's difficult to find business hours for a business! I have had to call this place a ton of times to get their hours... Listed on the website? Nope. They tell you their services, locations, and all kinds of info- not when they are open... Or at least I haven't seen the hours listed.... I am fond of scrapping stuff from work- I am a relentless recycler at home, this feels like an extension of that... Plus I make extra cash while I do it. I usually get my dad or boyfriend to go though, cause I used to take loads seemingly exactly like the ones my dad scrapped and would walk away with waaaay less money. In the recent past I've gone to give my boyfriend a hand, and the guys (employees) there [on Saturdays] were much more pleasant than I'd interacted with in the past. They would take it a Used Junk car but you have to bring it to them, remove the gas tank and all the fluids inside of it. Then you get $50-100. Other companies provide free towing and pay you $100-200. So you decide. read more

By far the best scrap yard I have ever dealt with. I am a business owner and scrap my metals every 3 to 4 months. I have dealt with many places and all seem shady and wont pay for certain thing! Cant say enough about this place and will always be a customer. read more

Just called Minichiello Bros to get pricing on Brass and Lucy seemed very agitated when I asked her the question was that $1.85 a box or a pound because to me it sounded like she quoted me per box, sorry I misunderstood, but not need to get huffy. I will bring my brass elsewhere, and furthermore I got a quote of $3.00 per pound at another junk yard, BIG difference in pricing. read more

Liars and scammers....Went there today had a terrible experience. I had two buckets of metal, one with copper and the other with bronze, when carrying it to their facility the bucket with bronze had less metal and was significantly lighter than the bucket with copper. After they checked and weighted it, (on paper) they came out to be about the same weight. Before leaving my house i weighted the buckets myself out of curiosity, I had 8 Lbs of copper more than what they recorded. Their scale is legit, its the individual who makes an entry in the computer, I feel like they take off a few pounds on purpose, giving an excuse that there was water in the pipes. Beware, the display that shows the weight of your scrap is always turned away from the customers, you can not see the weight of your metals. Demand that they weigh it in front of you and tell them to show you the display. read more

I give you very little back when you bring in parts to scrap it I brought inn2 axles I only got $2 dollars back.
