He brought our new window screens back in a timely manner and took two more old frames with him to work on a couple more for us. These people should be ashamed of themselves. They charged me alot of money. For that money, they returned a screen door dirty with fresh scratch marks. They also installed it so the screen door doesn't shut by itself any longer and acting as if they had done me a favor. To make matters worse, the window screen installed above a small window fell out a week later. When I called to have it put back in so that it would stay properly, this guy's wife was horriable!horrible!! She wouldn't even bother to look me up because I didn't keep the invoice number. Guess my name and phone just wasn't enough. She was REALLY RUDE AND TOLD ME TO DO IT MYSELF. She was clear, she didn't want to help me at all and tried to turn the tables onto me. Horrible customer service and when you call the wife who is the secretary does not have an up to date filing system and told me everything is filed by number on the sales receipt . So if you have no sales receipt or can't find it you shit out of luck . Because they have not got into the 21st Century of putting all their Adding to my experience again which was not a good experience . Bruce the owner came out and gave an honest quote, measured everything there on the spot, suggested window screen type based on my needs and when he came back to out them in they all look and fit beyond what I expected. Order a new screen with a DOGIE DOOR! Waited two to three weeks so called the wife of the owner who is also the secretary didn't even know who I was getting out anything about my order and I confuse me with another customer! Then long behold the next day I received a call saying would like to deliver deliver your door to you they brought the screen was very rude and told me that my doggie door wasn't ordered and that it would be a while before it would be in only to find out I still have been waiting 3 1/2 weeks later I have not seen a doggie door nor have I received a phone call nor have they returned a call I highly recommend that you use a different screen company and or chimney sweep because this Company can't keep their word nor can they serve their current customers why would you want to trust them read more

After installing new flooring in our home, we found that the old screens couldn't clear the height. Our flooring guy found the owner of Screen Guys and asked him to come out to estimate. We don't know if it was a good value because the two sliding screen doors were not cheap. They are well made, the turn around time was reasonable and Bruce (owner) communicated the status very clearly. Once they were installed, the outside handles were too big and didn't clear the glass slider very easily. Bruce found a solution at no extra cost and installed the new handles within the next week. read more

Bruce and nephew - Nathan showed up....both very nice, very knowledgeable and just over all - nice guys ! I would recommend the chimney sweep to be done - a lot of creosote. Family owned and run. These guys were on time, professional and informative. I needed a chimney inspection and cleaning, and they came by and took only 30 minutes to do it all, including paying for it and teaching about the dos and don'ts. It's cost $99.00 and they have a 2% charge for credit cards($1.98), well worth the price. Now I can safely use my fireplace! Thanks guys! read more

Update: I found a company from Sacramento that came and fixed the issues left by Sweep Guys. Basically, they had to re-clean/seep the chimney and removed almost a half of a 5 gallon bucket full of ash/soot when they were done. They also had to replace the trashed insulation all around the fireplace. Learn from my mistake and avoid these guys. read more

Had the sweep guys come out and clean my fire chimney. All seemed to go well. We were having a new gas fireplace insert installed. When the installer came out he informed me that the bottom damper area of my chimney had about a third of an inch of soot around the entire area. I spoke with the Sweep guy owner. He told me because I had no flat surface on my fireplace and because we were remodeling the face that it made it difficult to clean the lower fireplace area. He also wrote on my receipt under comments "dirty". I didn't realize that it meant that they didn't clean it very well. I was able to get up in the area with a whisk broom and knock most the soot down. In concluding my phone conversation I let the owner know that I would be giving him a bad review on Yelp. He told me that he would be placing me on a list that he keeps on bad customers and would never clean my chimney again. Does he really think for one second that I would ever use him again? On a personal note, this guy is a know it all. You think I am joking, just hire him and listen to him talk. He knows everything about everything. Maybe he is better at doing screening. Anyway, I would NOT recommend you hire these guys to sweep your chimney. read more

I have done business with Bruce for quite a few years and each time I call him he is very polite, friendly, on time and very professional. Bruce is a hard worker. 4/7/2020 Call this guy back again today....he said the brick do sometimes fall out and did tell me he throw a broken brick away (why he didn't tell me at the time he cleaned I would of had the broken one to get a new one cut) oh and he dose not have a business license, so If I were you I would find some one else, and I will be calling the better business bough, having a unlicensed guy clean my chimney me think not. read more

I recently had the Sweep Guys come out to clean our dryer vent. Bruce the owner and his assistant were punctual, friendly, professional, tidy and price was reasonable. Here's what's so great about this local owner operated business. Bruce noticed when he came in that my door was not closing properly and made a comment about it. When they were done cleaning the dryer vent he asked if he can help me fix my door. I was surprised that he would take the time to help me fix the door at no charge. Within 5 minutes he had my door closing like it should be while he made small talk and showed me what the problem was. This is why I love supporting our local businesses and this is definitely a local business that I will continue to support. read more

I wouldn't hire this company again. We ordered a screen door from them, with a turn around time of 2-3 weeks. After week 5 I call them and they say they received our door but it was the wrong color. Then I call back on week 7 to hear the second one was ruined in shipping. I received no calls from them updating me on the status of the order(s). I had to call them. Finally it comes in and looks good. We have it installed today and the thing that makes me the most angry is that the screen door only opens to about 2/3 the width of our doorway before it hits the arch of our porch overhang. One would think a screen door expert would know to look at opening radius while he is out here for an estimate. It was never mentioned to us and we never thought to ask. It's nice to look at, don't get me wrong, but we can no longer use our front door to move big items in or out of the house, and the thing that is most upsetting is if it's opened too wide/hard the top of the nice door is going to get destroyed. Would have been nice to know from the very beginning and we wouldn't have ordered it. read more

I just called Screen Guys for another project, based on my last good experience. I expected to find here other high ratings like mine, but I guess small businesses sometimes miss a loop here and there, or have office-management gaffs. In my case, (2 years ago) they surpassed my expectations, not only providing me a replacement screen for my slider door, but making adjustments to the slider frame (which was beyond their call of duty or pay). The owner himself did the work with cheer and pride in his work, and passed on some helpful relevant tips. His work constituted not only a replacement, but an unexpected upgrade. I got the black screen (he had a sample to look through) which allows me to enjoy seeing my backyard garden with much better clarity. In my opinion, they deserve success. We had the Sweep Guys clean our fireplace. They spent about 40 minutes cleaning, collected their money and left. When we had a professional install our gas insert he brought to our attention that the fireplace was full of soot and dirty. In looking closer there was a large amount of soot towards the bottom opening above the damper that could easily be seen. When we called to complain to the owner, he was very rude and didn't listen well to our concerns. He never said anything about any problem with cleaning our fireplace while he was here, but on the phone he said because the face of the fireplace was removed he couldn't clean the fireplace very well. But, with the front off, it actually gave him full view of the opening and should have offered easier access. My husband ended up cleaning it himself with a whisk broom and it made a huge mess that he had to clean up. Definitely not a thorough job and a waste of our money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Wow, what an experience! And NOT a good one! We were told by their office that they measure and build the doors on site. The installer and builder told us, after the fact, that they do NOT do this. They came on a Friday, took the measurements and had no bills of lading to even write the order up with, and told us that the door would probably be ready on the following Monday and they would call on Monday to set up an appt. for the installation. A week and a half after Monday, they called to tell us the door was done! When confronted with the misinformation we were given, the office person became very defensive and rude. She also said they had called the week before and left a voice mail, that never appeared on our phone. TWO WEEKS after coming to our home, we got a call from the owner, who acted just like the office person, and was rude, controlling and wouldn't hardly let us even talk! Wow, what a way to do business! These people have poor communication skills, NO customer service etiquette, and can't keep their OWN stories straight. Really No Stars!!! My husband and I purchased a screen door two months ago and paid almost $300. We have had problems with the screen sliding on its track almost since the date of install. We tried to reset it several times over the course of two months but it became clear we couldn't fix the problem. We called Screen Guys to request repair. Not only was I called "Honey," but I was told I shouldn't have waited so long to call as if it was my fault the screen was malfunctioning. Then the lady hung up on me when I told her it appeared she was blaming me and asked not to be called honey. Incredible! I own a business and I would never treat a customer that way. We now have a malfunctioning screen door and no appointment for anyone to come out and fix it. I would never recommend this company and would actually warn everyone to stay away. The costumer service was very friendly and nice. It is a family run and operated business so there is not a lot of telephone prompts to go through to be connected to a real person.I chose this company b/c they are the only one in the area who does chimney cleaning and inspection.. it was a double bonus that they also did screens and I happened to need 4 screens made. The Chimney cleaning was great however I dont feel the chimney inspection they did was all that great. They said by jamming the brush cleaner up the "prefabricated" chimney they are inspecting it b/c if the chimney was off the brush wouldnt fit. I personally feel that there may be some truth to in regards to chimney alignment but it does not take into account crakes or other such defects that would allow the brush to pass but possibly make the chimeny structrure unsound and a potential hazard when burning. With that being said I was happy with the clean they did and would hire them again to do so with the knowledge I would have to look elsewhere for a proper chimney inspection that did not include cleaning. I also had them do my screens. I was under the impression from the ad I read that they would fabricate and install the screens on the spot that same day. This is not the case. You must make an appointment for them to come measure your windows then it will take a week or so for them to get back to you to make another appointment for them to come and install the screens. If you are on a limited schdule or work odd hours or want the screens done right away this is not the company for you. If you have patients and a very flexible schdule and dont mind waiting maybe 2 to 3 weeks to get your screens then this company is worth a try for the cost. I personally had to wait two weeks for my screens to be installed. It took a week to make them and then it took a week to get my schdule to match up with the only day and time they could come back out and install. I was kinda frustrated b/c i wanted them to be installed as soon as possible so I suggested maybe an installation on the weekend in the morning I was told they dont work sundays and nothing was said about Saturday. They basically only had one day and one time slot on that day to offer me and it didnt really work all that well for me but it was my only choice unless i wanted to wait another week to have my screens put in. I felt a little tied to thier booked schdule that had very little give to accomidate the customers schdule. So my advise is that if you want it done quick this is not the company for you to choose. Perhaps Screenmobile might be a better alternative to get the job done fast and the same day as appointment is schduled. I did call Screenmobile to get a price quotes from them and they are a little bit more expensive but if time is an issue that might not be a factor. So If you have the time and are operating on a budget Screen guys is worth a try otherwise I would look into screenmobile. It also should be noted I was told by screen guys that they do not repair sliding glass door screens they only will measure and make a new screen which is somewhere around 140+ dollars depending on the size of door. read more
