Did call them back at earliest convenience on Wednesday, which I immediately apologized for since I realized it was almost 6 pm. Thursday morning as I'm going out the door at 7:03, they call again. I tell them earliest is 4 that day or Friday. Person on phone said 4 pm was too late so they said they'd see me Friday. Later Thursday, at 11:41 they again called wanting to come by. I went ahead & answered! They said they wanted to come by later that day,. I again informed them "they can't come over on that day unless its after 4." They said that was too late! I then asked, why are you calling again since they had already called at 7 am & we had made arrangements for Friday, but no set time. Again arrangements made for Friday with no set time. Was at house all day Friday, yet no one showed. Not sure what is up with this company but if this is how they handle business, not sure I want them fixing things in my home.

We allowed him to remove gates from another property we owned to be used in this project. He took 3 gates worth over $200 and never installed those gates for us, being a no-show or claiming an emergency over 5 times. Then he wanted to charge us more than the original contract. We fired him for breach of contract and he still refused to issue us the $40 refund requested, even after we said he could keep the $200 gates. We had to dispute it with our credit card company. We were very kind to him and did not deserve this treatment.

I used Odd Jobs for a basement remodel. The job took 4 months to complete and it was less than…read moresatisfactory. The caulking needed to be pulled and redone, sections of paint were missing (under bathroom sink, bottom of posts), red paint was splattered on a tan wall, ceilings that were supposed to have been cleaned were not, the cheapest possible materials were used, nails extended into the opposite room going through tongue and groove wood walls... no attention to detail. We had a final walk through and I pointed out these things and was told they would be taken care of and an hour later, he yelled into my office that he was done and leaving - none of these things were fixed. Due to a lack of confidence I requested invoices to be assured that the materials cost was what was being charged and found many tools and excess paint. The estimate I received to fix errors and items not done was two days. With that, the additional costs I found on the invoices, my time to go through to detail everything and the inconvenience of having another contractor come in for two days came out to 2000.00 that I was going to short pay the bill. On a 24K job, that seems fair to me but Cade threatened to put a lien on my house which of course I don't want. He's getting the amount paid in full even though I have to pay someone else to fix his mistakes. I would certainly not recommend this 'general contractor'.
