He clearly states what he intends to do, then does exactly that: shows up when he says he will (texting us in advance that he is on the way), evaluates the issues, shares his recommendation and quote, then does the agreed-upon work with surgical precision. His high level of skill and quality results speak for themselves. He provided efficient work at an exceptional value for the cost. Ben installed our two new toilets and repaired related plumbing, replaced a leaking kitchen disposal, repaired under-sink kitchen plumbing to accommodate a new reverse osmosis hot and cold water on-demand system, and diagnosed a few other fixes along the way. We added a simple in-line descaling unit to help reduce the hard water sediment, and noticed results almost immediately. He knew our faulty kitchen faucet head was covered under warranty and called to get a replacement on its way to us. He installed a new water main easy access shut-off valve so we don't have to reach waaay down behind the water heater for an old school dial knob. So helpful! Ben is super clean, organized, professional and personable. He wears booties when entering the home, lays his tools neatly out on his work mat, has a tub to collect anything he removes, and leaves the place far better than he finds it. He also reached out several times to follow up after the appointments, to see that the new installations were working as expected and that we were happy. Ben at SoDak is the only person we will call for plumbing help. Truly felt like my big brother was taking care of me and our home care needs.

The following Tuesday, I get a call from a technician saying he's on his way to my house -- completely out of the blue. Loyal scheduled the appointment without ever contacting me or getting my approval. Then, two days later, I receive a $100 bill for "dispatch and arrival of technician"... for an appointment I never scheduled, a faucet that had already been fixed by someone else, and a tech I only spoke to on the phone. How does that make any sense? To make matters worse, no one will answer the phone so I can ask why I was charged or tell them I won't be paying for a service I never agreed to. The lack of communication and the unauthorized scheduling is absolutely ridiculous.

I thought my water heater was failing because the pressure release valve kept popping. They did a quick yet thorough trouble shooting inspection. Turns out the pressure regulator on the water main had failed and taken out the expansion tank as well. The repair was half the price and they had all the parts on the truck with them. After waiting for 3 hours I did not receive a return phone call. On Saturday shortly before (11AM) I called to follow up on the Friday evening request and was told I would receive a call from a plumber. I did receive a call approximately 15 minutes later and was told someone would be at our site at around 7:00PM. I waited for several hours (5-9PM) at my office and did not receive a call or any notification that the company would not be coming. I certainly understand that on a weekend the staff may be very busy but it only takes 1 minute to place a courtesy phone call to a customer to let them know your schedule has changed and/or that you aren't able to make it to a site. I was counting on you all and regrettably you didn't deliver.

Needed a 300-400 lb wet bar removed that had plumbing & electrical through floor. TBHS started with a thorough, professional, written estimate based on photos I sent. I accepted and paid a bit less than half up front as deposit (via online payment service) and the work was scheduled for a week later. Aaron arrived on time and taped down protective paper covering from the garage and up a flight of stairs to the work-site, about 40 feet, as the debris would be carried out for disposal. He then did a meticulous job removing the wet bar (which had to be partly cut-apart) over six hours, sealing the plumbing & electrical connections, and fixing the sub-floor, leaving a high quality result ready for hardwood floor installation to come. Zero collateral damage. When hiring a handyman, there can be the risk of someone showing up with an axe and a "let's wing it" attitude. But TBHS is what a handyman service should be: detail-oriented, good communications, capable, very knowledgeable and professional in all aspects of the project, including code compliance.
