Huge fan of Scriptura! They have the best stationary and similar card and letter/paper products (I don't know how else to describe it). The staff is super friendly and helpful and will take time to help you find the perfect gift or items for yourself. Yes, custom and imported stationary can be kind of pricey for what it is, BUT Scriptura does not inflate their prices (as far as I can tell). The prices are fair and on par with other shops in New Orleans. They are a great local shop where you can get the kind of help you need, as well as custom products. You cannot get that kind of help buying online, there's no two ways about it. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Scriptura for all your stationary needs whether your local or visiting New Orleans!

Scriptura created both our rehearsal dinner and wedding invitations. We first visited Scriptura a year before our wedding and had the most lovely meeting. Not only did we design both our wedding and rehearsal dinner invitations at that meeting but they also gave us a tour of their studio. They showed us how they printed and pressed each card. It was so neat learning about the process. It was like a blast from the past seeing all of their antique machinery. Our invitations were elegant and New Orleans-esqe. The paper quality, artwork, and design was stunning. Although we live in a different state, we will continue to use Scriptura for all of our stationary and invitation in the future.

There really is no comparison in New Orleans. A vast array of items in a small store, Scriptura carries everything you may ever need related to stationery. Margaret is an incredible designer who is elegant and creative beyond words. She has worked with those who have no idea where to begin and limited funds; those who are in constant need of invitations and stationery; and those seeking to mark that very special occasion in a unique way. No matter who the client may be or the amount of the budget, Margaret is always warm and welcoming and brings her very best to the project at hand. I have ordered many items with her and I really cannot imagine doing business elsewhere.

As a former Wedding Coordinator and Stationery Boutique owner, I was obviously very excited to choose the perfect paper suite for my own wedding! Lauren at Scriptura has been wonderful to work with and my Save The Dates were beyond gorgeous!!! Vintage letterpress ecru squares with the addition of a custom circa 1845 map liner....the perfect introduction to our French Quarter Earth Day event! I received several phone calls and messages from guests saying how beautiful they were and how excited they are to attend. Can't wait to finalize the invitation, reply cards and other unique pieces with Lauren and the rest of the fabulous staff at Scriptura!

In short, this team makes MAGIC, people! Brittani is the ultimate professional, providing guidance and advice from her deep level of experience in the industry and her lifelong familiarity with the local area. She brings calm and compassion to what could otherwise have been difficult to navigate situations (weather scares, last minute guest changes, family dynamics), essential for an out-of-town and sometimes anxious bride. She is supremely organized, timely and responsive, taking advantage of technology and her own flexibility to ensure communication is as convenient as possible. She is also an outstanding creative, designing layout, logistics and decor solutions to fit and exceed whatever initial vision you might have had. Most importantly, we felt cared for, listened to and prioritized as a couple, from our first conversation with Brittani through the end of our wedding night, despite the thousands of details she and her team were handling in the background simultaneously. Our non-traditional wedding in the French Quarter was filled with love, live music, food, parading, dancing and laughter with a decidedly New Orleans spirit and flair and our diverse group of guests from all over the world and all walks of life continue to ask when we'll get married again! So much of that is due to Brittani, the Unique Weddings team and Brittani's design arm, New Orleans Candlelight & Decor, who are all pros at making events like our wedding truly unforgettable.

Michelle was able to quickly know our taste and priorities. She had wonderful recommendations to make the day complete. These ladies took excellent care of us on the day of the wedding. They kept us on schedule all while providing a calming energy. During the reception they were at the same time in the background yet, making sure we all were having a great time and my husband and I always had what we needed. I cannot say enough about Unique Weddings in New Orleans. They really know what they are doing and are an asset to the whole endeavor from planning to the day of.

When a full size band is in the main room, that room becomes excessively loud. Many people choose tommove to the Tree Room ( there are trees in the room). That room is a respite from the noise, but regretfully, it doesn't have many tables for guests to enjoy the food and libation. Rosie's has a nice outdoor patio where there are pub tables, a small stage that had Karaoke the evening we were there. The patio utilized large fans to fight the oppressive heat. Service was excellent. Bars were serving well made drinks. Ambiance is clean and pleasant. Rosie's is a good reception place.

I definitely attended a wedding here earlier this month. And it was really fun. I liked that there were different spaces to move through from the main room/bar to the atrium to the outdoor courtyard (a little chilly in November but lovely). The food was really good (made in house) and the staff was friendly and helpful. The wedding was held in the courtyard and the party was throughout the space. The bride and groom said they were great to work with and everything was smooth sailing. As an attendee, it was a lovely space to enjoy.

Pick Carol, she is wonderful!…read more I did extensive research when trying to find a wedding planner. I was a destination bride living in Texas, with a father in Baton Rouge fighting cancer, trying to plan my wedding in New Orleans. I had quite a few hurdles. I found Carol through word of mouth. Carol is a native of New Orleans with 15 years in event planning, including large corporate events and with the past 8 years in weddings. She has a large network and strong connections with local vendors. She is creative and determined. She is professional and caring. I had already found my venue when I contacted Carol, who then helped me find my band, florist, cake baker, makeup artist, hair stylist and ceremony music players, etc. She helped plan the rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon and the day of the wedding. Carol did all the things that I was unable to do for myself. She provided me with options and quotes, helped me to determine the most reasonable budget without sacrificing quality. I would make visits to NOLA during the wedding planning; Carol would arrange all my appointments and take me to meet with vendors. She help me pick out colors for my bridesmaid dresses, colors and types of flowers, venue decor, venue favors, invitations, gift ideas, etc. 5 days before my wedding, Hurricane Isaac hit New Orleans. Can you imagine the stress? Carol kept my sanity intact. Carol was without electricity for several days, and was still working behind the scenes to followup with my vendors...(i.e. had they had evacuated, were they safe, would they have power to cook our food, would my flowers be delivered and would the flowers survive without refrigeration?) I had to most amazing wedding. Everything came together beautifully. There were many NOLA brides that weekend without flowers, no makeup artists, no catering, etc. I was very blessed to have everything, to have my dream wedding. I am sincerely grateful to Carol; I could not have done it without her.

Carol happens to be a friend of my stepmother and seemed like a logical choice. It helped that her reviews were fantastic! My fiance thought that her fees were a little high, but within about five minutes of sitting down with her for our initial consultation, I could tell he was fully on board. Carol is extremely likable, knows New Orleans very well and has a wonderful eye. She seemed to understand what I wanted from the beginning, and knew how to accomplish it. We ended up opting for the package that included 5 hours of advance planning, which was helpful, and Carol also had great recommendations for florists and cake. She ended up letting my borrow a few votives and a sign to use as part of my decorations, which was really helpful! I honestly don't know how I would have managed without her, especially at the wedding itself. She seamlessly coordinated everything and I was able to kick back and truly enjoy the reception. I highly recommend her.

The whole event ran so smoothly that I was worry-free and thoroughly able to enjoy the wedding myself. Giving our guests a real taste of New Orleans was incredibly important. If our guests did nothing else during their trip, we wanted them to feel like they had an experience unique to the city. Latrobe's definitely helped us achieve that. From the beautiful courtyard complete with burning gas lamps, to the grand banking room, to the wonderful food selection of delicious regional delicacies. Many of our guests told us that they felt they had been transported back in time. That it was the best, most unique wedding they had ever attended - and with the best food! Lastly, the team at Latrobe's is incredible - I actually miss talking to them every week! (LOL) Rylan, Hana, and Millie are the best.
