This opticians is ran by a lovley bunch of people. From the optician himself to the reception…read morestaff. They are all friendly and welcoming. The shop has recently had a face lift with new illuminated logo outside. Inside they have a large double sided seating area to accomodate quite a few people. The reception area is to the right and rear of the place. There are a couple of rooms where test are carried out both toward the back as well. Eyesite looks clean all the time and gives a very high standard of optical tests too. Not only this but they have many pairs of glasses for both men and women available. These cover all of the two side walls. A great range of choice is available. Although they dont have as many pairs as specsavers, vision express they do have many different designs and some of them by big named brands. Prices are also in respect to vision express and the like very reasonable too. Eye test are done using the latest technology and last a long time, at least you know you are being tested properly as they are doing lots of different tests.

Initially there was no-one at the reception desk, so the wait began. Eventually an assistant said 'Someone will be with you shortly' After an hour of being ignored I was given a cursory quick-fire 3-minute test and told to buy new glasses because 'the left eye has changed'. My question 'How much has it changed?' was just ignored with more pressure to buy new glasses. There was no discussion of the test results nor eye health. New glasses were then selected from those on show but there was a further long wait until someone deigned to process the order. They were unable to give me the mandatory copy of the prescription because 'The optometrist has gone home without signing it' It was 5.30pm before I could get away. . The test equipment seems modern, but customer satisfaction is completely ignored.

Actually its very easy to find and centrally located, and its actually quite a big place when you go inside. I was due an eye test paid for by my employer and it was very straightforward to make the appointment and go through with the check up. Everything was done calmly and explained well, and the whole process took i guess about 30 minutes from first walking through the door to having a certificate on the condition of each eye. I must say i was impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the staff, who were really friendly and approachable. The place is comfortable and welcoming and id definately recommend this opticians to anyone looking to get glasses or contacts, or just picking up a prescription for their eyes.

About 2 years ago I got a…read morereminder from "the other one" that I was due for an eye exam and being fully vaccinated, and diligently wearing masks etc I decided to indeed get my eyes tested. However, while my glasses (varifocal, both normal and shades) are fine I did remember that service and after sales service left something to be desired so I decided to try Vision Express and I am glad that I did! Making the initial appointment was simple (online) and the whole process (even in these pandemic days) was a pleasant experience. The optician himself was excellent, professional and a delight to chat with on a variety of topics. And the good news is that my eyes are healthy and have barely changed - but I can keep the old ones as standbys in case of loss or breakage (although I paid a refundable (discount for my future glasses) £39 a pair to cover repair or replace the in case of breakage. Then took my time to select my frames from a bewildering array but ended up going with Ted Bakers for both. Excellent process and experience in getting fitted and selecting all my options. I would have my new glasses in 2 weeks but lo and behold barely a week later I get the text and call that they are ready. The next day I visit, try them on - perfect! Slight adjustments to the frames to make them sit optimally and I was smiling and ready to go! I will be back!

You can opt to have a photo taken of the inside of your eye too which is weird but interesting! There are good offers on their glasses. I got some very nice designer glasses for half price.

I had to go there recently because my daughter had eye problems and he came out from his office and dealt with my daughter personaly which i was very greatful for. They have a great range of glasses for young and old and the prices are very reasonable. They give young children stickers as well when they have had an eye test which they seem to love.
