Today we were looking for white coats and face protection and AJ's Uniforms was the only place close to us that had these available. Whether you're looking for scrubs, white coat or danskos, AJ's has got you covered. They also have stethoscopes and other medical clothing that you need if you work in a hospital. They don't have medical supplies, however, so you'll have to find an alternative place for your tongue depressors, ultrasound gel, etc. People were friendly and extremely helpful. Not very many parking spots by their building and it was quite busy even though we came late on a weekday before they closed. They generally have them in stock, better than online shopping, you can see what you're interested first hand before deciding whether to buy it. Also a nice place to stop during my walks if I take that path, never know what may catch my eye. Even when I can't find anything I want to buy on a visit, I still learn about things that might prove useful in the future, something to keep in mind.

My pet-peeve is when people conduct themselves in a manner that is not reserved, such as would be befitting a business environment. A workplace is not a place for people to joke around and flirt and I will not give my business to places that cultivate a work culture of playing around before working effectively and helping customers. My business should come first or they don't deserve my business. Also, they didn't have my uniform anyway. I was looking for a school uniform. The problem with the uniforms destination store in El Paso is the service, the checkout girls at the counter are unforgivably rude. The first time I walked in (september 11, 2012) I was briefly glanced at, and then ignored by the help, even though I stood at the counter for almost five minutes. I was the only customer in the store. The two girls who were in charge were hanging up clothes and having a great time talking, till one of them giggled, nodded towards me and said, "I think somebody ought to watch the counter." The other girl sighed, sulked and stomped over to the counter. When I asked questions about the equipment the store was selling the only answer I got was an exasperated "I don't know." I said thank you and walked out. The next time I went to the store (september 15, 2012) it was more crowded, but I was still ignored, and could not get any satisfactory answers. I asked about the price of various scrubs and the girl at the counter snapped, "What does the tag say?" When I could not find a pair of scrubs in the brand and color I wanted in my size (extra large top, medium bottom) I asked if they had any more in the back and the same girl snapped again, "If its not hanging up we DON'T HAVE IT!" The young lady who was with me was horrified by this behavior, and I had to ask her not to retaliate (she did give the clerk the stinkeye, which was reciprocated by the now hostile clerk.) Several of the customers in the store looked up in surprise at the scene. It was embarrassing, to say the least. I resolved the problem by trying on a combination of scrubs -- the girls at the counter were happy to leave me to my own devices -- till I found the size I wanted in the brand I wanted (but not the color), then I went home and found exactly what I wanted online, at a similar price, with polite service.

The first time I went here they lost some of the patches I gave them, so I had uniforms missing patches. I was supposed to have my name embroidered on my shirts and jacket, but 2 shirts and the jacket didn't get embroidered. A week ago I took 1 shirt to fix the mistake they made, and a new jacket to get all my patches on. They told me it would be done yesterday, but I gave them an extra day just to be sure it was done. I go in to pick them up today, and they bring me the shirt and said it was done. I asked about the jacket, and they tell me they were putting on the patches. I open up the folded shirt, and it is still missing the patch. I tell them I don't have time to wait, and will be back tomorrow. I turn to walk out, and I say to myself "this is some bulls*&t". As I get in my car the owner comes out yelling at me for cussing, so I went back in to explain my frustration. He only wants to yell and make up excuses saying they made a mistake. So now he is playing Victim making me out to be mean, and refuses to correct their mistake. I have been wearing uniforms for over 18 years, and this is by far the WORST PLACE EVER! I will be putting my own patches now. I wish I could give them ZERO stars.

Not only did they not apologize but the "owner" started yelling at me and giving me attitude to go somewhere else if I don't like it. When I told him not to raise his voice or give me attitude, he raised it even more in front of my small children. Do NOT come here, the owner and his employees are so unprofessional and refuse to make it right. Instead he yells and lets you know he's the "owner" like he told me, and thinks he can treat people how he pleases even though he is in the wrong and does NOT know how to run a business.
