The gallery is very large with wide variety of paintings and pottery so I am sure most people will enjoy their visit. I did inquire about the "Gardens" part of the gallery's name and learned there was not one at this location.

I was so curious about all of these metal sculptures around town so a friend and I parked on one…read moreend of Florence Avenue and casually walked up and down the street. What imagination and creativity! I loved photographing each one. There was one house with tons of artwork. The entire front yard is adorned with them and I wondered if this is where the artist lives. Sure enough there were pamphlets near the sidewalk and that's when I learned that the artist is Patrick Amiot. His spouse, Brigitte Laurent, paints his works of art. He calls his creations Urban Folk Art. Some are quite huge but all are very unique and original. What an entertaining way to reuse metal. For feathers and scales, we noticed he layers flat jar lids and they look amazing after they've been painted. My favorite was (Buster) Posey and the two owls but there were so many we both loved. I drive up this street regularly but it is definitely worth it to park and take a closer look. Florence Avenue is like the artist's outdoor studio. It's a manageable and worthwhile leisurely stroll. You will see other metal sculptures around town by this artist and I happened to know that Mom's Apple Pie on Gravenstein Highway has one now too so I included a photo of it. Such fun whimsical creations!

Carlo Marchiori is amazing...think *Hieronymus Bosch meets Italian Renaissance meets Cirque du Soleil * all with a big twist. Words can not describe it. An amazing ceiling mural graces this beautiful open gallery. Enticing you in are bizarre sculptures of *boney birds* but there is so much more.... Trompe l'oeil furniture, scarves and art Graphic plates with animals and skeletons (I said with a twist!) Loved the skeleton plate BTW! 3-D architectural models of famous structures (loved these!!) Bronze sculptures, more ceramics (very interesting plaques), paintings in Water and Acrylic... I picked up a pair of Harry Allen (famous designer) candle sticks that replicate Greek Revival style in white resin. Love them!! After My Own Art…read more Located on 217 acres of pristine Napa Valley land, the Di Rosa is a contemporary art museum that's been operating publicly since 1997. This museum is the personal collection of Rene & Veronica di Rosa. The Good: *Temporary exhibits rotate approximately every four months. *Complimentary umbrellas (more on that later) *A good portion of the exhibits are outdoors along their gorgeous property. *Shuttle if you don't want to or need assistance walking from building to building. *You really have to like weird shit because this place is full of it. Personally, I love it, but if you're more "serious" art person, then this probably won't be your jam. *Picnic tables on the grounds, as you're encouraged to bring food and drink to enjoy in their outdoor area. *Friendly staff The Meh: *General admission of $25 might be a touch high for an art museum. The Ugly: *Be wary when visiting during inclement weather,as there's a large part of this museum that's outdoors. So you'll probably miss out on some of it, but the free umbrellas (mentioned above) did come in handy. Conclusion: Fun art museum with some really cool pieces and doesn't take itself too seriously.

The Sonoma Botanical garden was much bigger than I thought it would be. At 67 acres, I think it's…read morethe largest in the bay area, The garden felt more like an arboretum with trails and lots of trees rather than a stroll garden with flowers. The first time I went I didn't realize you could look at a map beforehand because it's not a simple find on their website but I suggest looking beforehand to see what it offers (plan your visit-visitor information-download map). The rose garden here was underwhelming. This one was quite small and didn't look like it was maintained. If you want to see roses I'd recommend the nearby Cornerstone gardens, which have a much better rose garden, and they don't charge an entrance fee. I loved the pond with the lily pads and the Asian garden with all the greenery and small bridges. I also loved how garden was right next to a vineyard. Sonoma is beautiful and warm and it's nice driving up the 12 looking at wineries and admiring the scenery.

Most of it is really super gorgeous huge impressive welded metal pieces that he creates that are one of a kind and some are a bit more commercially successful and mass-produced but they are all really awesome and he is really awesome. Stop by, peruse, appreciate, buy if you have the pockets, but def give Hoss 5 min, and you are sure to walk away 45 minutes later with a deep appreciation for both him and his art. I know I sure did. I look forward to eventually being able to afford several of his pieces. And I wish him nothing but the best. Make sure that you stop by the cool places in your neighborhoods where you live, you never know what you'll find, but you will find in many cases a gracious neighbor. this man is a treasure and his artwork should be treasured, especially given that it's available to the public everyday and outside. kind of kicks the butt of DiRosa which is quite nearby, but far far too modern for my taste. Ten sculptures by seven different artists, with the theme of "play", this is a cool exhibit in…read moreNapa. Apparently, the Napa Art Walk theme changes every couple of years. We visited this past weekend, and it was pretty much like a scavenger hunt, because the pieces are not all located in the exact same area, they are along different streets hidden in gardens and near businesses at random points. But if you have a map, it makes it easier (I included a photo). Most of the pieces are within walking distance to each other, but on a super hot day, we opted to skip a few that were farther out. If you love art, this is a great display of unique and creative artworks, some simpler than others but all created with symbolism. The pieces are made out of diverse materials, from musical strings to bicycle parts, as well as stone, glass, aluminum, and steel.  My favorite sculptures were Time and Awareness, stone artwork that looked almost like a wave, and Wild Flower, a colorful presentation of the Californian poppy made out of bicycle wheels (this one's easy to find, it's right next to Gott's Roadside at Oxbow Public Market). Most of the others are closer to the Riverfront, or 1st and Main. We had fun experiencing the seventh Napa Art Walk exhibition (2021-2023) on a Sunday afternoon, an opportunity to appreciate the talents of diverse artists. And interestingly, according to the website, the art pieces are also for sale. Cool.
