My daughter was part of the COVID class so she transferred in her junior year and had classes mainly on campus(which she loved). She commuted to/from school/home. She had early enough classes that she did not really have to fight for parking. My son is currently a sophomore there and has been living on campus. He was lucky to find Wonder roommates and friends and lived in locations on campus within walking distance of everything. So far it is hard work but he is enjoiyhis time at State. There are so many great clubs, organizations, and opportunities around campus. The trolly system is pretty good as well and a great means of transportation around San Diego if they do not have a car. My daughter graduated in 2024 and really enjoyed her time there. Very lucky to have them both near by for school. Great campus!!! Oh if near by you have to check out the turtle pond, it is so amazingly peaceful and tranquil.

I have had ample opportunities from SDSU for my future career and also to meet friends for life. The campus is absolutely stunning and has its own farmers market once a week in the main square area. They also have so many events on campus that they do an amazing job organizing. I think one thing that really stuck out to me, especially being out of state, was that I immediately felt at home here. I joined Greek life, student orgs, and had such an amazing experience where I was able to contribute to my personal and professional development. I will forever thank this school for everything it's given me and grateful that I've found a place. The one thing I will say, however, is that I lived in Chappy and that freshman dorm building needed help. But at the same time I was in the most social building, so that allowed me to meet the friends I have now!

Walking onto campus, I was immediately greeted with a smile and positive attitude from Ms. Ruth. Despite how many students attend the school, she made an effort to get to know us and remember our names. Ms. Ruth was recently promoted to Administrative Assistant for the ADN Program, and it is so well deserved! It was truly a full-circle moment when she was the one who emailed my letter of acceptance for the second portion of the program. Since I don't see Ms. Ruth at the front desk anymore, I usually stop by the Admin Office just to say hi and ask how she and her family are doing. Nursing school can be stressful and challenging, but Ms. Ruth has made me feel heard and supported since the very beginning. Thank you as well to Professor Marion German, Professor Leah Baltazar, and Dr. Dela Cruz for taking the time to meet with my cohort regularly to listen to our concerns and provide support since we started the program. Having such a supportive administrative team while beginning the ADN program has been invaluable to my learning experience at MFSON.

They have the main campus at Point Loma, which has an exquisite view can't be beat. A campus at Liberty Station, which is where the medical students go, a campus in Mission Valley where I attended and most business classes are. I believe there's another in Balboa Park. I've been through several colleges and a couple universities in my lifetime. The staff I've met here are by far the friendliest I've ever come across. I'm sure the Christian views has something to do with it. But I was extremely impressed during my college time here , Also every student that I talked to was friendly as well. Overall, a great environment to learn. The school is pretty pricey. At the time of this writing, it's $700 per credit. So a basic three credit class will cost you $2,100. A majority of my classes were online and I had a few in person. They also have those hybrid classes where you could either be in person or online. Which is very helpful for professional working students. The coursework was very challenging and I had tons of homework, but the staff were quick to respond to any questions online. Again, I like to emphasize that that my experience with every staff member, public safety officer, especially Officer Ahfook, he was chill and helpful, and the students were all positive. I've never encountered such a friendly bunch of people. I highly recommend this school.

Cost lots of $$$ however, the financial adviser - Paul is excellent! 2. The class size is quite small but when there are not enough enrolled here at mission valley, the school will video conference to one of the other campus (Arcadia, Bakersfield, Inland Empire) 3. The graduate program is a bit different than the main undergrad campus..yes there are some PLNU alumni who continues their education but lots of individuals in the Grad programs come from all different walks of life and range of age, experience, etc. 4. Unlike many Graduate Education programs in SD who does the majority of their work on-line. We actually meet in person and learn from real live teachers and experience the materials hands on. 5. A class meets once a week from 4:30-8:30pm. Each class is 8 weeks long and is called a Quad... there are 2 Quads in 1 Semester. every year there are Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. You can start a program at anytime during the year. 6. Because everyone starts the program at different times during the year... you get an opportunity to decide the pace you want to complete your program... You can take 1 class per quad or sometimes 3 classes per quad (like me).... this flexibility allow people to work and continue your education at the rate they want to finish. 7. Since the classes are quite small you do get a chance to really get to know your classmates. An activity i really enjoy is done often in many of the classes is signing up to bring food once during the quad. Because when there's food ...people make better connection and build stronger relationships. One of the things makes PLNU from other credentials/graduate program are the advisers for the Special Ed program... they are excellent!! Dr. Shirley Gibbs and Dr. Andrea Liston are the GURUs of Special Ed within San Diego. They know everyone who is anyone and are super supporters of ensuring that you'll succeed. The majority of the professors at PLNU are some of the most amazing people I've meet through my education. They really have the passion for what they're doing and are innovative in their teachings as well as their perspectives. PLNU Mission valley might not be on the beach or have a beautiful sunset like the undergrad campus but the support and services here are just as qualified if not better.

There are also several healthcare programs like EKG Tech and Pharmacy Tech. Keep in mind that these courses only prep you for required exams or are refreshers of you are already in the industry. When you finish all the required courses in a program, you are awarded with a certificate of completion. In my opinion it's worth getting a certificate from a known school like SDSU. I just finished my accounting certificate; I'm so glad that I was able to take their accounting program online as I work full-time during the day. Now I have something to put on my resume and move up the pay ladder. :) Most of the programs are non-credit and are non-transferable to 4 year degrees. They have an Open University Program where you crash credit courses in the first day. Those courses are much more expensive but still cheaper than going to school as a full time or half time student. Never tried the program, though, but it's a good option for anyone who wants to knock some units off and or transfer to a 4 year/2 year university. I will say that all the courses aren't cheap and you have to pay out of pocket for the most part. They're still cheaper than some other places that's for sure. Overall I recommend checking them out.
