Trying to describe our experience here is almost impossible. We made reservations to come up for five days to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We booked them on Saturday morning. We were to arrive Sunday between three and five. We were told we would receive an email with our check-in information. We hadn't received it when you left but I assumed i would be able to check in by the time we arrive.We showed up and could not get into the condo. The owner, Nancy, failed to send us Checking information which included or should have included the combination to the condominium. We arrived with a weeks supply of food and belongings. We also brought our 85 pound dog, Cinder who is a service animal for my husband. Once we arrived I got out of the car and ask for help from one of the other tenants I saw sitting on her park. she tried to figure out the combo to our condo using hers and changing a few numbers. It didn't work. Then, another lady showed up and was quite upset and looked lost. She too, was unable to get into her condo because she had not received the combination. She made reservations back in April and had traveled from Arizona. So we both stood there in the cold, calling, texting and emailing Nancy. I called Airbnb and spoke with a very nice guy who was very helpful, as much as he could be. He too, attempted to get a hold of the owner but was unable to do so. Throughout the next two days he was in constant contact with me and I kept him apprised of what was going on here. While we were standing on the sidewalk wondering what to do, a nicely dressed young man said he overheard us and asked if he could help in anyway. We Explained what happened and he said he would try to help. He looked up on some website and told me that there were other units vacant. He told us to wait and then came back and said "follow me". He'd opened another unit, upstairs, and told us we could stay here. The unit was dirty, the linens from the bed on the floor. We didn't care. My husband has advanced Parkinson's and was so upset and confused I was grateful for anything at this point. We had tried to find other possible places to stay but it was very late and all the places that I could find would not accommodate a dog. So after spending at least two hours trying to figure things out we felt blessed when this man helped us. The other lady who also couldn't get in her condo had finally gotten in (I think the young man helped her too ). She came and found us and offered to take the dirty linens and wash them so we could have something to sleep on. She came back an hour and a half later stating that the washer and dryer were very small and out linens weren't ready. So, she went across the street to a friends timeshare and borrowed some linens for us. I cleaned the condo. We were unable to leave the condo Because we didn't have the combination to the door lock. Not sure how the young man got in. When I asked him, he just laughed and said, Magic. I carried out belongings upstairs. Unfortunately , by doing so, I aggravated a herniated disc. I'm scheduled for surgery next month. I tried to be careful, but the stairs were steep and long. . At the time my only concern was my husband. He'd missed his medications (as they were packed in the bottom of our SUV) which he takes on a very regimented schedule, so was shaking like a leaf by the time we got in side. I continued to text Nancy until late Sunday night and still heard nothing back. The other lady did the same and has never heard back. At 2:30PM, I finally got a response telling me we had to move back downstairs. I explained that my husband who will be 79 next month was extremely disturbed about what they did to us as was I. I talked with AIRBNB and was told that the problem was hers because she neglected her duties and they were filling a violation against her. Nancy (or Avigale who signs their correspondences) said she didn't respond due to a" family emergency ". We knew this excuse to be false as she had responded to the lady who get in earlier on Sunday afternoon. She was asked if they could check in early and she responded no. So we know she lied. If she could respond to one question she could've responded to ours as well. Anyway, they told us we needed to move downstairs in that they had no "young man "employed. They also made reference that we were in an upgraded unit and offered us a measly $100 and a 10% coupon to come back here. Like anybody would come back after what happened! And $100? Are you kidding. Anyway I decided that I was not going to spend another day packing, driving everything downstairs and across to the other condo and blooms yet another Day of all what should've been a nice five day get away. We have done nothing but argue with these people and they need to be held accountable when they screw over people. It's not just me, or the other lady that I met, it's everyone. Here's the thing. This place? It is literally in the perfect location if what you're looking for is what I always look for. -Beachfront or closest to beachfront. -Near and within walking distance to great food and desserts. -Your own parking spot with no extra charge or the hassle of valet. -Decent distance from major attractions in San Diego. -Clean & Quiet. -Reasonably priced. Most places I looked at charge double what this rental does and don't even promise the same luxuries. This place is next door to Harbor Fish & Chips and across the street from Better Buzz. Prontos is a five star deli And Chins has the best Chinese food in San Diego County. Handels ice cream is not far And if you're fancy? Campfire & Wildland aren't far either. And with your own parking spot to come back to, in busy bustling Carlsbad Village, why would you choose NOT to stay here??? read more

My dog and I have had an amazing stay at Sea Breeze in Carlsbad!! Unit #1 was clean, and we loved our front patio, with Chase lounges, to watch and listen to the sound of the ocean. The amenities are terrific, and supplies are always available whenever needed. The grounds are clean and well maintained. We were just steps away from the beach, with fantastic restaurants, all within walking distance. The paths for dog walking all along the beach, are fantastic. Our Carlsbad stay was really refreshing. All new flooring, new kitchen, new bathroom, updated appliances. Beautiful view of the beach, and I didn't mind the parking lot view from the second floor. Clean bed and sheets with extra clean blankets. Patio furniture to enjoy your coffee with the waves each morning, and a drink at night. It's walking distance to town, and a beautiful beachside bridge/walk. It's an older building, but the staff and property manager went above and beyond to make it nice for us. They even helped carry bags to our second floor unit. I asked the property manager for food recommendations and 100% of them were great. Some of the furniture is newer but still could use maintenance. The blinds weren't the best in the master bedroom so we had to shove a towel in the window to get privacy at night. I didn't get to take a bath because I found a dark hair in the bathtub which made me uneasy. The walls were kinda thin so you could hear outdoor conversations sometimes. Our lock stopped working and we were unable to get in to our room at night. Someone responded quickly, reset the lock, and we were back in. The next day maintenance knocked on the door at 9:30 AM to replace the lock. I appreciate that he was proactive, but I was really looking forward to sleeping in and having a lazy morning. On top of that, he said it would take 15 minutes but it took an hour and a half. Not necessarily his fault as there were multiple factors, but it kept us from leaving for breakfast or relaxing during that time. I'm still giving this place 5 stars because you get what you pay for. A room or condo with an ocean view would normally cost $1,000/night or more. My entire trip was $1,000. Yes, things were less than perfect at times, but the staff was trying their best and the other 95% of the trip was FABULOUS. I think they met and exceeded expectations for what this was, and they are constantly making improvements which will probably make this even nicer in a few months. read more

This is the absolute worst property management I have ever rented from for VRBO. Renter BEWARE!!!!! First they posted amazing pics of the property but it was a complete bait and switch. First of all they do not return messages. After 4 messages, two voicemails and finally a bad yelp review they replied back. We wanted to add pool heating since this was one of the reasons why we rented the house. They charged us $100 a day for heating to only find out heater doesn't even work! We have been swimming in a freezing pool. Upon arrival (checkin is at 4:00), we got to the property at 4:20. The house was still a mess and was being "cleaned". The property management stated the house is to PPE standards however it is not. The house is disgusting, dirty, bug traps around the house. Major cons: 1. No towels 2. No paper towels and trash bags - we had to buy our own at a local grocery. 3. Dishes and glasses are completely dirty with FOOD STUCK TO IT!!!!! Mind blowing. Please see pics 4. NO CURTAINS!!!!! It has been a nightmare sleeping on the mast bed. How can a place be so ghetto and cheap they can't even add drapes or anything. 5. All the mattresses are so used and abused they put cheap foam mattress pads on top of the beds to camouflage the mattresses that have been used for decades. 6. Pool- it was dirty and cloudy!!! The pool maintenance had to come twice to try and get the bacteria out and advised us not to swim in the pool for at least 24 hours. Well there goes our trip. 7. Railroad tracks are right next to the house and you can hear trains.. bells.. horns EVERYTHING. 8. Wires hanging everywhere in the house. Electric cords exposed. Complete liability For a 4 night stay for $10,000 this was an absolute rip off and the pictures are a scam!!!!! The house DOES NOT look like this and NOT up to PPE CDC cleaning standards as they are claiming. With COVID going on I do not recommend especially to rent from this company. They do not care about people or their experiences renting their properties. This company needs to be shut down. I have stayed many places in my lifetime and I can't believe how this company just doesn't care and has no pride. Shameful!!!!! This was by far the best vacation on the beach I have ever had. Location is prime and in the middle of it all in Carlsbad. I love how you are steps from the beach, stores, restaurant's, and bars. The home was stocked with all the necessary items, and was very clean and very comfy beds. The patio is so relaxing and our favorite by far was the large tub with the window looking at the ocean. we even kept it open at night to sleep to the sound of the waves. The view was truly breathtaking. We stayed with our 2 kids and it could not have been more accommodating. We are already planning another trip for the future. We also appreciate how fast the response time was when we had an issue w the lock. nothing major but they were available with Just a phone call away. Grateful to the SeaBreeze team for accommodating my last minute booking, I was about to head to Big Sur when I realized it will be rainy and windy there! I decided to come here instead and they got the place ready in time for me to check in same day. Christina is amazing and checks in to make sure I have everything I need for a wonderful stay. The studio itself is spotless, bed is super comfortable and I appreciate the full size fridge and utensils. There's also a heater in the room if it gets cold. There's really no need for AC since the space is pretty cool. The fan helps keep the air flowing. Location wise it is right across from the busy Carslbad state beach, if you are looking for unobstructed ocean views I'd suggest booking one of the other units on 2nd or 3rd floor. This unit is on the ground floor, while unobstructed ocean views are a mere few steps away, the ocean view from the patio is largely obstructed by all the cars parking in front of it. (No Cars allowed between 11pm -5am only). All in all an amazing stay and I'd definitely rebook next time (albeit a higher floor unit). read more

Have booked stays for my family twice now and each time the apartments were immaculate, well furnished and thoughtfully appointed. The proximity to the shops/restaurants of Carlsbad Village can't be beat and the ocean views are spectacular. So nice to make a cup of coffee and take the few steps to sip it on the sand while watching the waves break on the shore. I wish I could write a zero star review. This "company" doesn't even deserve one star. Horrendous customer service, inaccurate listings, unkept rental properties, and terrible company policies -- all without mentioning their complete and utter disregard for customer safety and well-being. Despite government orders that prevented us from traveling, SeaBreeze told us that they would not be offering even a partial refund for our trip (that never happened). We even were denied the rescheduling option (to a date where traveling would be legal). In my opinion Seabreeze stole our full payment (close to $2000). I am a very positive and optimistic person, but this company is repulsive! Avoid seabreeze at all costs!! read more

Amazing location for both enjoying the beach and the city of Carlsbad. Our condo was on the third floor overlooking the beach so we spent many hours on the balcony enjoying some rays. It is walking distance (3 to 8 minutes with children and dogs) to many places to eat, a 7-11 and other convenience stores. So many great places to eat that are dog friendly. You get a full kitchen and it is pretty stocked. You also get access to washer and dryer that is shared, but never busy. An ideal place to enjoy a beach vacation in Carlsbad! read more
