Amazing location for both enjoying the beach and the city of Carlsbad. Our condo was on the third floor overlooking the beach so we spent many hours on the balcony enjoying some rays. It is walking distance (3 to 8 minutes with children and dogs) to many places to eat, a 7-11 and other convenience stores. So many great places to eat that are dog friendly. You get a full kitchen and it is pretty stocked. You also get access to washer and dryer that is shared, but never busy. An ideal place to enjoy a beach vacation in Carlsbad! read more

And quite frankly it's made me realize that I must live on the beach to be truly happy. It was my Disneyland. Very good spot, very close to restaurants, banks ect. I have stayed here many times. While it's has always been far from perfect , we accepted it because it was a deal. But this time it was a disaster and we will never come back. The cleaners had just started when we arrived- 2 hours after check in. They did not do a good job. It was dirty. That may be the reason it was loaded with ants. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The WiFi didn't work. I had planned to work from this location since we arrived on a Wednesday. I wasn't able to conduct my Zoom meetings and even phone calls were difficult because the cellular didn't work either. It had always worked before. The cable TV didn't work. It was SO bad, we asked Nancy, who manages the place to do something. She said the office hours were over and that she would call the next day at 10:30. She called four hours late. We were so frustrated by that point, we didn't take the call. We left a day early. It was that bad. read more

What an amazing place! Any negative reviews appear to be from long ago so in my opinion are no longer relevant. The management company was so responsive and helpful to anything we needed, including when I asked if they had any boogie boards or chairs we could use which they gladly brought over for us. It's an adorable little place that has clearly been recently updated with nice appliances and furnishings. My family and I stayed here for an extending weekend and it has been a nice/relaxing staycation. The location is right on the water and I have been spending every meal on the patio watching the waves. Unit is clean and has a lot of amenities such as beach towels, paper towels, cleaning supplies. TERRIBLE. I really wish I could give them 0 stars and I wish I had read up on them before booking. I booked through vrbo and had to cancel--and their cancellation policy is a complete joke. We tried to cancel well in advance and are still out about $1,000 and are being charged for taxes twice on top of their high cancellation fee and a fluctuation of "rent" we still have to cover. Warning: do NOT book their properties, they are extremely difficult to communicate with and are poorly managed. read more

When we first stayed there we had a great condominium there for 4nites cost around 450.00 with pets the next year it was 550.00 this year 2021 710.00 I looked at it online for next year and it jumps out of sight to 1700.00 needless to say this was our last year. read more

We stayed at the Carlsbad location 2 times. The location is fantastic. Walk to the beach, walk to the village In Carlsbad. I was not going to stay there again except honestly it was all that was available. Well I was happy to discover all my gripes from before were solved. The absolutely non existent internet was now very fast and actually better than the internet at our personal house. Before we tried to stream a show and it would last for maybe 3 minutes. This was our second stay at Sea Breeze. It has been updated (new owners I believe) since our last visit. The studio unit we stayed in was fantastic. All new appliances, flooring and furniture, including the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The bathroom could use a little attention but it was still clean and efficient. The on-sight staff was more than friendly, offering to help carry our luggage and seeing that we were comfortable. I would love to stay here again next year, but I see that their rates are going up substantially. Too bad! read more

We stayed in a property on Beach Rd. in Capistrano Beach near Dana Point (DP-095A), the downstairs unit of a 2-story rental. Lovely location that got battered by last winter's storms. Rent soon, because Mother Nature is quickly reclaiming this once pristine stretch of beach. The property isn't fancy, but there's plenty of nearly everything for your comfort & enjoying the beach. It's an older building & needs some maintenance love to bring it up to the 4-Star rating - ALL of the screens look as if the place had been broken into. The linens are SUPER soft and there's lots of towels. The staff keeps it very clean. The property management was very accessable and responded to our needs quickly. Note to future renters: this is a downstairs unit. Hope you get luckier than us with the upstairs neighbors. They started at 5:45am sharp. We're pretty sure it was a workout video. The photos of the beach were taken before last winter's nasty storms. The fire pit in the pictures is no longer there. It has been replaced by a much more portable unit just a couple of feet from the patio. Much of the beach has been reclaimed by the sea. We live locally, so we knew what we were getting. The low season price made this a great stay-cation for us. Watching my 92-year-old Mom watching the waves and the changing tides made this a priceless experience. Sitting in a chair on the sand was shear bliss. Watching the lobster boats come by in the morning & dolphins playing near the shore were daily highlights. Would I rent from this company again? Yes! The condo was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed! Communication with the rental company was easy and they were very responsive! Location was perfect - within walking distances to great food (Dini's Bistro had the best poke nachos and calamari fries we've ever had, and Interim Coffee is now my 2nd favorite place for a latte in So Cal after Hidden House in San Juan Capistrano!). Keyless entry was appreciated so no keys to lose! We will definitely stay here again!! And as another reviewer mentioned, don't let the parking lot in front of the condo deter you, we had such fun people watching and had many entertaining moments from watching that lot! read more

Wishing I could give them no stars. The family I nanny for rented a home from them using AirB&B in September. They took me along with them as a birthday gift, which was awesome but let's just say we would all have rather stayed home. Upon arrival we were locked out of the house. We had been provided with the incorrect code for the lock box. It took about 30 minutes to get a response with the new code. This was not good because we had just traveled 6 hours or so with 3 small kids that needed to use the restroom. Only one of the air conditioning units in the house was usable because it was not full of mold like the others. So that was extra fun on hotter days. The house was FILTHY. The floors turned your feet black if you walked barefoot on them for even just a second. We were all had to wash our feet before bed every single night. The dishes provided were all put away dirty. We have to scrub hardened food off of every pot, pan, cup, kitchen knife or utensil we were using. Absolutely disgusting. All soap dispensers in the house were empty except for one that had watered down soap in it (nice!). Seems pretty unsanitary and careless during a pandemic. Bed linens also seemed to be unwashed. There was hair and dirt in the master bed. The house also had an out of control ant problem. They were all over. The kitchen, the bathroom, and even in one of the beds downstairs. My boss spent most of her vacation trying to get these issues resolved rather than relaxing like she should have been. They sent a cleaning crew and an exterminator to the rental while we were there. That should have been done well before we arrived. Do not rent from this company. Stay literally anywhere else. It's not worth it. read more

Great location. Bad management. I got an email every day telling me all I had to do was text if there was a problem. I texted twice, never got an answer. Then after I checked out they asked me for a 5 star review. Seriously! Don't stay here. Premium price for less than premium place. Cable TV didn't work. Ants in the bathroom. Vans not staying at the property allowed to park in the parking lot blocking access. No one on site, ever. I stayed there in 2019 but will never stay there again. Stay away. Horrible! read more

Beware! This is a company that have a lot of properties and really don't care about individual customers. I was staying with a party of 8 at an expensive (~1000/night) property near Disney in Anaheim. The property was advertised as having AC, which is really essential in summer here (90~100F indoor temps). There was no working AC. When we called, the company said there was nothing they could do about it that day. They said they could send someone the following day, but nobody came. The place was so hot it was not usable. I called again and asked politely what they were going to do about the situation, and they hung up the phone. Horrible experience --stay away for sure!!! read more

This is a 'Renter Beware' post. Property rented was Sea Breeze #8 - On the Beach 3150 Ocean Street Blvd, Carlsbad, California 92008. The property manager is Nancy Aguayo of Global Realty Corp. The afternoon before we left to celebrate our 40th year anniversary at this property we received a phone call from Nancy Aguayo saying that they had to cancel our reservation because there was structural damage to the balcony area of the rental and it could not be fixed before we came so they could not rent it to us because of safety reasons. She apologized but did not offer any compensation or help to find us a place to stay. It was very frustrating because it was at such a late date and I wanted things perfect for my wife of 40 years. We did find another rental but it did not have the view of the ocean that we had really wanted. The day after we arrived in Carlsbad I walked down to the Sea Breeze rental only to find that there were people in the rental sitting out on the balcony. Our rental was for Sunday thru Monday leaving on Tuesday. The man on the balcony said that he was a guest (sounded like he was not a paying guest) and had been there since Friday. I talked to another renter there and she said she was very dissatisfied with her rental and said we should consider it a favor that they cancelled the reservation because there was mildew on the furniture in her rental and had to put blankets over all the furniture. So bottom line was the property manager lied to us to accommodate someone else and ruined our 40th year anniversary. Can't trust them or VBRO who did nothing to help. I would suggest not using either this property or VBRO. Very unprofessional and definitely not customer oriented. read more

Worse Custer service I have experienced. Not enough towels, toilet paper , etc. I had to call everyday I was here for something that went wrong. No return calls ever!! Toilet over flows and back ups in the shower, no one comes into 5:00 at night. We can't use or place for the whole day. We ask where are beach chairs are , they say will be delivered in the morning. They show it at 5:00 pm. And they ar almost children sized. DONT STAY AT THEIR PLACES!! read more
