I discussed this with them and they assured me that he would be taken care of. I Brought in the EXACT amount of his medication he would need for 2 days before the Easter holiday. The first day went well and I called to check up. Second day I pick my 8 month old, and I'm told by the caretaker that he had been irritable and fussy and his breathing had become rattled. I asked if his medication was giving and she said yes, and proceeded to tell me the times. When I got home I noticed he had a fever and that he was having a hard time breathing. I immediately called his doctor on call, and I go through the bags to get his nebulizer so i can go ahead and give him another round of his medication. That was when i noticed that the box i left at the daycare (that should have been empty if the medication was used) still had the last 2 vials that should have been used that day. THEY NEVER GAVE MY BABY HIS Medicine. And to make it worse they lied to me saying they did! I had to take my baby to the ER. Since it was Easter weekend i had to wait until Monday to talk with Vicky (the director) and the owner (chanelle) but my husband did call and leave a msg. They returned his call Monday morning and Vicky said that as soon and the owner came in that morning they would call and have a meeting. Finally at 11am they agree to meet us so we could discuss this mishap. The moment my butt hit the chair the owner (chanelle) told us that we were wrong and she had the video to prove that they did my child his medication. She starts going through the video so quickly, fast forwarding rewinding, pausing, muting. I kept asking her to show me the time and parts of that last day and she kept getting angry that I was refusing to agree with her, and wanted to see more of the video. All the while, she she continues to argue because at one point the lights are completely off, but she telling me that that was the moment he was getting his meds. You never see anything, on top of that she mutes the volume. Anyone who has used a nebulizer machine knows that loud annoying sound but she mutes this dark video where you see nothing. At this point I'm still asking questions and she's getting more and more frustrated and accusing me and calling her workers negligent. Mind you. I have not said much but was only asking to see parts of the tape. I ask her to show me, since the video is so dark, the moment someone at the front desk would have handed off the medication to the caretaker since all medicines are kept and the front desk. That's when she starts raising her voice, saying that I'm not going to believe her anyway and she doesn't have to show me anything without a subpoena. Things went downhill from there. I told her fine we could arrange that if need be. But aren't those cameras meant to protect the children? She kept arguing when the video was actually playing and pausing it when we would look at it. Little gameplay to distract us from what she was actually doing, which was lying. Finally I got up and said lets go because this is pointless. And she literally said 'yes get outta my office' like we aren't paying clients and that we weren't having a discussion about the wellbeing of my children at her facility. Completely unprofessional. I lost it from there and had few choice words before I left and also had to call 911 because she refused to give both our children's belongings. IF I COULD RATE THEM NO STARS I WOULD. This place was negligent and I had to rush my child to the ER because of it. This is my first time leaving a review ever on anything and I'm doing it because their negligence. Even the cop had to tell her off because she was being uncooperative. I work in healthcare and my husband works for the Department of Defense and I'm going to let everyone we know what happened with these people. Protect your children. DO NOT take them here!

We have been so happy we have transferred our other daughter over. What they do for the community is amazing and the sliding tuition scale benefits so many families who live and work on the Island. We moved to Hilton Head from another state where he attended very prestigious schools. This school has been both his and his parent's favorite school. At the end of the day, he would not want to leave. I am a teacher and a former Head Start teacher. I was extremely impressed with their curriculum and learning centers. The school is well stocked with quality educational supplies and toys. The teachers are educated in the field, which is hard to find at a preschool level. The children where always actively playing or learning every time I observed. Even at nap time, when my child did not nap, the teacher would teach him individually. My son excelled both emotionally, socially, and academically at this school. There were some concepts that I had planned to teach him over the summer that are advanced for his age. I was pleasantly surprised that he had learned these concepts at school. Being an educator for that age, I have been to numerous schools. The teachers and children are the happiest that I have seen at any preschool. The teachers are not only excellent educators, they are wonderful nurturers. My child is an only child and needed help learning how to share and manage his emotions around other children. This school taught him these skills. The highest end schools in a large city did not work with him to teach him the skills. Teachers have to be very skilled and patient to teach a child how to manage emotions. I wish that we had moved sooner. My son is the happiest that he has ever been. My husband and I can say that Christ Lutheran Preschool is an excellent preschool. They go beyond the normal duty and provide music, chapel, learning activities, and family activities. Our family and my son have wonderful memories due to the school and staff. The staff was always very supportive of our needs. We will miss my son attending this school.
