Microwave, Mini Frig, T.V with Cable. Small coffee pot set up. A desk, table 2 chairs. Hangers and luggage rack. There is a great Pool which is a big perk. Unfortunately, this year was to cold to swim. We had swam last year and it was great! There is a Supermarket across the street and the beach not far at all. The motel provides an informative binder. The town center is actually within walking distance for most people about 1/4 to 1/2 miles away. Becareful though, the road in front of the property, at the traffic lights gets very busy. We witnessed a bad car accident while waiting to cross the street, the 1st year. A Continental Breakfast with delicious homemade muffins is served every morning. To be totally transparent and give a 100% honest review these next things were a few minor issues that only happened our last visit. The water pressure in the shower was very slow. No shower liner, (not the problem) the fabric curtian got soaking wet and wet the whole floor, causing a slipping hazzard. The soap and shampoo/conditioners weren't filled. We were supposed to be given a second key that was never dropped off. Had the T.V. shut off at about 10pm while we were watching, out of nowhere. I called the office to let the staff know and got a NOT my problem response, that I wasn't excepting. This year we had tried to book 2 days again, but only one was available. We decide to take the 1 night and pay more then we would have elsewhere. No sure about next year.

I will say we got here early by around 9ish and the parking lot was still pretty empty. We were only coming for like 2 hours so I do wish there was some sort of a different rate if you're not here for a full or even a half day. It was super chilly and windy even though it was the end of July, but we did enjoy laying down and getting some salt water breeze and just the sound of the water was enough to be able to enjoy. Some parts of the sand are rocky but we landed in an area that was pretty flat and sandy. As we were leaving, the parking lot was packed and I can imagine this being a place that gets filled and booked up if you don't come by a certain time. Pro tip: If you hike/walk/ride into the park, you can avoid the $25 parking fee. Other than that, be sure to bring your coral reef safe sunblock, pickup after yourself (and others if you love turtles), bring plenty of snacks and stay hydrated. Would I come to this beach as my main destination, probably not. For sure a one and done but absolutely enjoyed getting some beach and relax time.

It was a very small beach nestled between houses…read more As we started back up the road we stopped at the first parking lot we drove by to see if there was more to the beach. And that was a Yes! The walkway was thru the sand dune that took us down to the beach. The beach was allowed a nice walk along the water. There are multiple homes that we passed. If you want a more "wild" beach and less built up, this would not be the beach.

All while admiring the pretty sea shells and colorful rocks. The morning fog lifted, as the day progressed and the ocean breezes was cool and refreshing. There are always lots of mothers and kids on that portion of the beach any time of day (it's also fun for anyone that likes to examine sea creatures...even if you aren't a kid anymore). The actual "real" beach part has grown steadily rockier and the shoreline has definitely receded over time so there isn't as much pure sand as there used to be which is too bad, it was one of my favorites back in the day. It still boasts some nice swimming, especially at low tide when you have to walk for a really long time to even get to water to swim in. Not too sea-weedy usually either but again, the rocks abound. There is a lovely view though and you can walk to Black Beach and all the way to Chapoquoit as well (fantastic walk, highly recommended!).

There is a $30 fee, but it gives you the whole day and all of the beaches there is a fee so it just is what it is. The bathrooms were immaculate! Plenty of stalls to choose from and it was spotless. I felt very comfortable using it. As far as the beach, go early because it does get crowded, but you will enjoy soft sand and rolling waves. Plus you can take a leisurely walk down the beach to get those steps in!

Beautiful views of the Kennedy compound and other luxe residences. Many areas are closed off due to birds' nesting so in some areas there was little room to walk.

My trip to Eugenia Fortes was quiet and peaceful. I talked to some local speedwalking moms (my people!) and got into some gossip about the local celebrity homes. (We're talking about you college scandal parents!) It was fun to catch up but then I was on my merry way. I wore my oversized sunnies, a flowy skirt, a big hat, and enjoyed my feet in the sand. Not many were on the beach and the dock was desolate. As I walked closer to the sands in front of JFK's home I quieted my mind and thought of what it must have been like for him to grow up here, to then use this place as his safe haven as a President, the losses this home felt, and in turn John John's plane being out in that water. Dried up crab shells were all around. I could pick up any shell I wanted. The sand was cool and soft under my feet. These moments all to myself, these grand old Americana homes on the water, the beautiful sun glistening on the ocean... I get it. It really is stunning and the legacy can be felt on your skin when the wind blows.
