The woman got maybe 2 feet into the door when the owner starting telling the woman there was no room for her in the store and kept telling her to not break anything. She repeatedly said "my store is not made for people with scooters". We should of left then because it only got worse. Then, when my mom and I were looking at anklets, I was trying them on my moms ankle to see if they would fit. The owner asked us if we were looking for something as is we were trying to steal it in the most condescending manner. We moved on to another part of the store brushing it off. Then the owner walked past us and bent down right in front of us and looked directly at my moms ankle to see if she was wearing an anklet. The audacity! Then when we were checking out, we had two items a sign and an anklet, the owner stated "oh this anklet should work for bigger ankles like yours" to my mother. She lost definitely lost our business. We used to visit this shop every year as it is unique. We will NEVER be back! I have never been so shell shocked and appalled by ones behavior. As someone who works in customer service myself, you always want to be accommodating to a customer. Even if she had the only shop in Depoe bay, I still would not shop here. I'm truly embarrassed for anyone who knows her.

I asked for either an early check in or late check out and was denied which is fine but if checkout were a little later it would've been extremely helpful.

There was hair in the bed, stains on the sheets and comforter, visibly dirty floors, stained rugs, and a kitchen sink that drained very slowly. We were told laundry detergent would be provided, but there were no pods available. The home also lacked basic cleaning supplies, which was especially concerning given its condition when we arrived. The BBQ was clearly not properly cleaned or maintained. It had so much buildup that it caught fire inside and produced enough smoke to set off the home's fire alarms. The dryer also took an extremely long time to dry clothes. The hot tub was another major disappointment. We contacted the property in advance because of concerns in previous reviews, including reports of bacterial infections, yet it was still disgusting and had a strong fishy smell when we arrived. Someone was sent to "clean" it, but the solution appeared to be little more than adding chemicals. We still did not feel comfortable using it, and it did not appear to be thoroughly drained and cleaned between guests. The game room and kids' areas were also poorly maintained. Games had broken nets, missing pieces, or were falling apart, and some children's chairs were broken and unsafe. Several remotes either didn't work, had dead batteries, or were missing, and promised replacements never arrived. The listing also significantly understates the walk to the beach. It is definitely longer than a two-minute walk and includes a substantial hill--important information for anyone traveling with young children or elderly family members. We were also disappointed by the lack of flexibility with early check-in. Even 30 minutes early would have been helpful, and there did not seem to be a meaningful reason it could not be accommodated. Ultimately, you are paying a premium primarily for the view, but the home itself is not worth the price. It needs better cleaning, maintenance, and basic upkeep. We left feeling that the listing overstated the property and that a major advertised amenity--the hot tub--was unusable. I would strongly recommend saving your money and booking with a private host or smaller rental company that may provide better hospitality and take better care of the property.

Upon returning for five nights this past week, I like it just as much as ever. The staff is still great, the sweeping view of the ocean is wonderful, and the units are continuously updated by their owners. It's reasonably priced, conveniently located halfway between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay, with a nearby grocery store. All the units have identical layouts with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a well-outfitted kitchen, a comfortable living room, a dining table, a fireplace stocked with wood, WIFI and cable TV, an ocean-view balcony and access to the beach. It's all I want for a restful stay.

Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens.
