This store is really interesting. Sheryle always really loves coming here, we always have to stop in if we're at the coast. And I understand why, there are lots of pretty scarves that she likes. The woman who runs the shop is really helpful and very friendly, and they have lots of interesting nick nacks. They have everything from pithy sayings to angels and fairies. It's a nice store, and the layout makes sense. Plus there aren't barren parts of the store, so it feels inviting and not boring. read more

I would give this store 0 stars if possible. The owner has the worst customer service ever! Yes, the OWNER! When we were looking around, a lady tried to come into the store with a motorized scooter. The woman got maybe 2 feet into the door when the owner starting telling the woman there was no room for her in the store and kept telling her to not break anything. She repeatedly said "my store is not made for people with scooters". We should of left then because it only got worse. Then, when my mom and I were looking at anklets, I was trying them on my moms ankle to see if they would fit. The owner asked us if we were looking for something as is we were trying to steal it in the most condescending manner. We moved on to another part of the store brushing it off. Then the owner walked past us and bent down right in front of us and looked directly at my moms ankle to see if she was wearing an anklet. The audacity! Then when we were checking out, we had two items a sign and an anklet, the owner stated "oh this anklet should work for bigger ankles like yours" to my mother. She lost definitely lost our business. We used to visit this shop every year as it is unique. We will NEVER be back! I have never been so shell shocked and appalled by ones behavior. As someone who works in customer service myself, you always want to be accommodating to a customer. Even if she had the only shop in Depoe bay, I still would not shop here. I'm truly embarrassed for anyone who knows her. read more

Kind of an interesting experience. We didn't have anything particularly bad targeted towards us while we shopped, but as we were waiting to check out the people ahead of us told the working they wanting 2 of the same item, not 2 items with different sayings on them. The working said, "Do you want to go check if we have another?" The patron replied that they would. They did. They then said there were no more of the item they wanted. The lady then told the patron, 'We'll you're going to have to get another one then because I've already charged your card' My wife and I looked at each other in confusion. This person's card was physically still in the card processor. She could have done a refund in Seconds, but instead said that she would "need" her to get another one (that she doesn't really want) since she's already charged the card. She decided to say that instead of asking if she wanted to get a different one or just the one - that she liked (and just done the refund real quick if she said she just wanted the one). I don't know what their return policy is, but IMO it wasn't even a return - it never left the store; she hasn't even finished buying it yet. read more

I specifically asked if I could exchange what I purchased as a gift for something else in the store. I tried returning it and they would not allow a an exchange. In addition, I was treated very rudely and asked to leave by the very young unprofessional employee. I will never shop there again. Every other store in Depoe Bay is much better for shopping or returning. read more

I immediately called, spoke to the wife, told her I didn't want to drive back that far and she could just mail it to me after Christmas, which she agreed. I thought I was being nice. I just texted to remind her today, a month later, and she told me to deal with E ric. So I forwarded him the text, he replied saying I'd have to come in (I live 100 miles away). I just called him, he told me I was wrong, told me it was a hairband, not a pill box, then refused to speak with me any further. What a stupid way to run a business. The most terrifying coastal experience of my life to date was during the middle of an overnight trip with friends when the tsunami sirens went off. Surviving dorm life for a few years quelled my panicky concern for alarms in the middle of the night, but when the wailing and flashing lights started up I quickly realized that you don't ignore shit like that. Luckily it was just a false alarm, but I wanted nothing more than to be home in the Heights where flooding would never be a problem, let alone monster waves. This store reminds me of home. They have items for your house, your garden, and your awesome diva you. Candles, sconces, metal wall art, wind chimes, and fountains grace the walls while soaps, lotions, purses and all things pretty fill the floor. It's a friendly and warm atmosphere that you just can't pass up if you're in town. I picked up some decorative orbs that matched my black & white decor. Really cheap, and yet quality that will last a quite a while, or at least through any major waterworks. read more

Wow, I was here this morning to buy my mother a gift. I found a pretty glass hummingbird for $10. I asked the woman at the counter if she could put it in a box so I could mail it. The woman was extremely rude, had a seriously negative attitude and acted very put out. The box was covered in old tape and not fit to ship anything in. I wish I would have given her the crappy attitude she deserved back and asked for my money back. Sad, with so many people needing work and this person has one with the worse customer service ever. I will never shop here again and that is a shame because they have some really cute things. read more

Tells me that she just remodeled her store and there really isn't any room for me to get around that she has a lot of stuff along the isles. I have never felt so unwelcome in a shop before. WAS our favorite store in Depoe bay until today. We always visit this store when we come to the coast. They have Tyler candle items and I always stock up when I'm here. I picked out about $40 worth of tyler air freshners, wax melts, & lotion in my favorite scents high maintenance and French market. Then my mother picked out a purse while my 15 year old daughter was picking out a scarf. My daughter and I walked over to look at some key chains while my mom went to get some wax melts. While looking at the key chains, the lady who owns the shop came up to my daughter and I and said "those are cute aren't they" and I said "the key chains? Yes they are! " she then grabbed the scarf from my daughter and said "no the scarf, I've sold a lot of these" I assumed she was going to show us something to do with it by the way she took it. I said "yes its very nice" she then asked if we were going to buy it otherwise she would go hang it back up to which I replied "my daughter still hasn't made up her mind." The owner set it on a counter by where we were standing and said "well how about I set it right here until you make up your mind." And she stood there like she was guarding it. I just found this whole situation bizarre and it really ticked me off! I felt like she thought my daughter was going to steal it. I could see if she was in there by herself or with some friends, but seriously she was with her grandmother and mother at all times in this small store that we've been in numerous times. My daughter dresses very conservatively so it's not like she looked like a wild teenager. She's a very mild kid and it really hurt her feelings. My mother and I ended up leaving everything and just walking out and I won't be back. read more

Strolling through the kitschy shops along Depoe Bay's waterfront, my friends and I were thrilled to come across this little gem of a store. What a marvelous assortment of decor, jewelry and miscellany. So much to see and such a nice assortment. Very different from it's tourist store neighbors. read more

I love- love this little store. It is jam packed with very unusual items , it is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to see , and decide from. I find the prices affordable, good quality , and in general fun everything! I especially buy the kitty tiles..I now have 6, the artist makes such charming kitties. But this last time I also bought the Birds and the Flowers. Very reasonably priced. As for the commenter below, the store is jam packed, I think the notice in the window was well written, explicit, and right on target. This store is not a place for children to handle the delicate items displayed. If people dont want to watch their children or want their children to handle items, they should go to Flamingo Jims in Rockaway! A plethora of stuff there. I have been in the store MANY times on many trips, and have always been treated with courtesy and politeness and friendliness. Anyone can have a bad day, even the shopper. I have never heard or seen any discourtesy on behalf of the staff. I love the unusual items, and this is my go to store whenever in the area. read more
