The garbage area is always clean and it has easy parking. It is located on a quiet part of town farther away from have your well traveled shopping areas. They have updated the apartments with new…read moreroofing on all the buildings and paint jobs on all the exterior parts of the building including the doors. I did like the older colors that they had and different ones on each building however the new paint and roofing looks nice. The Gyms and basketball courts have been fixed up and are kept up a lot better. There is no more fence/pole falling and leaning into the basket ball courts and they look nice. My old neighbor that I mentioned in a previous post is no longer around and so it has been pretty quite and perfect around here. Any Maintenance reports are kept up very quickly and I always see them in the mornings when I leave to work. The Grounds men always say hello and have smiles on their faces and look like they enjoy their jobs. The only thing I have an issue with at these apartments, and it doesn't have anything to do with the staff or the company that runs this place, is the car break ins. When i first moved here there was a couple and we got a letter on our door reminding us to not leave valuables in plain site or in the cars and to make sure everything is locked up. I don't know how they got into our car and our neighbors car but now every car alarm that goes off in the area, we are out of bed or out of the apartment running to see. No damage was done to our car but they did go through all our paper work, insurance information, stole some music CD's (gospel/Christian rock and hip hop, Maybe they will get some morals) an Emergency kit and some other stuff that wasn't very valuable, like old shoes, but the principal and now it always being on our minds. We feel very safe here and this area of Lompoc is MUCH MUCH better then the south side. I wouldn't want to move out unless I can upgrade to a house but since my apartment is on the street side, I think the car theirs have very quick, fast access to get away if they are messing around with someones car. The police seem to come by here a little more then I used to remember and I love it. It shows that our notes and messages to the leasing office are being heard and they are trying to do something about these situations that frankly, no one can really prevent. If a thief wants something they will do what they want to get it. Just have to be more diligent and watchful.

Windscape charges an exorbitant amount for rent, while the amenities keep decreasing. The security gates that were put in around two years ago worked for only a short time. What a joke! The homeless and drug addicts still walk through the complex, riffling through the garbage bins at all hours. The employees park in the resident carports, even though there's plenty of non-covered space available. One of the pools was non-operational throughout the past two summers. Little kids use the hot tub unsupervised. Minors use the gym equipment, despite a sign clearly noting no minors under 18 allowed. Whenever I addressed management about it, I'd get the "we're so sorry for the inconvenience and will look into it" response, but nothing is ever done. What got me fed up enough to write a review is that there was a break in the main water line overnight, so they had to shut off the water. This is the THIRD time since March 10. It's 6:50 PM as I write this, and we still have not had water all day. Picture how smelly the bathroom has gotten. What are we being offered for this major inconvenience? A "sincere" apology and free bottled water. No rent reduction or credit. Are you serious??? Renter BEWARE!

I knew it wasn't the place for me when I walked in my application and there was genitals drawn with chalk on their cement walk ways and the garden was not attended to. The office attendant was adamant that I pay the application fee even though I was unsure. I pled with her that I would pay it if I could get a look even if the room was undergoing renovations. But they wouldn't let me see the product I was potentially buying into. After what I saw, no way I was going through with that.

Debbie (landlord) and Juan (maintenance and Debbie's husband) live onsite they are really nice and helpful. The best apartments in Lompoc hands down, before moving there I researched all the "known" apts by known I mean the ones that pop up first when you google apts in lompoc ....at West Chestnut it's a gated community you have assigned parking, they offer military discount, two pools a jacuzzi, onsite laundry rooms, free comcast cable, water is included, dog park ooooh and NO BREED RESTRICTIONS which I love because I have a super sweet 7 yr old Pitt bull and could not get a single apt in Santa Maria to consider us due to their breed restrictions. Throughout our stay we (my boyfriend (military VAFB) baby Tyson ( our pet) and I (sales consultant in Santa Maria) we made many friends and I always felt safe when my other half was on deployment. The apartments look nothing like the website...Nothing. Some are renovated. An it's done horribly. They cut corners! Rent is a little steep for such an old place, but best for the size an sq footage. And rooms and bathrooms. Sad cause there is very little in Lompoc. Anything you need fixed. You might as well fix yourself. Nothing got fixed in the year I lived here......Nothing. So check the apt and Make sure what ever is broken you write it down an let them know in advance. Get a signature with proof you gave it to them. If anything start deducting it from your rent. The things you have to buy to fix the place. There are laws about this. Read up on them. Also.....They make you pay out of pocket to install a washer an dryer hook up. If your apt doesn't have one. An a garage door too. Which you can't take down. The area outside is normally pretty clean despite some children whom are not watched by their parents....Ever. They leave a bunch of trash out or really horrible people who love accord the way who dump their own trash in the street. Typical annoying apt things are...there's no parking cause everyone's garage is full of stuff so no one parks in them. I swear one apt had a whole family living in the garage. Which is whatever to me. Still leaving no room for others on the streets. So good luck finding a spot! Other info: Some neighbors are not very well friendly or nice. Garage doors are loud. Walls are thin. 3 strikes an you are evicted. Which was nice cause the loud people would leave! We moved from a 2 bed room to a 3. An was forced out into the new one with out hot water. The apt turned off the gas to that apt before we moved in. Making us go almost 2 weeks with out hot water. Because we had to wait to have it turned back on. The apt owners. Not the women whom live on the grounds. Was a total well I am sure you can guess. We asked for some off our rent for transfer fees an living with out hot water because they sold our apt before we were even out. They said no. So be cautious. Know what your getting yourself into. Again.....Also nothing gets fixed. Be aware of that. And while there is only one review on here. I have spoken to another who also lived in this complex for several years. She said while she was here that nothing ever got fixed. And then when she got ready to move out she hired a cleaning crew. That even then they deducted money from her deposit to hire their (apts one) cleaning crew.
