This place needs a review on here, because anything I can do to let people know about it is too…read morelittle. My Hyundai broke down on the way home (Boston) from Maine, right in front of the tolls in Hampton on 95 in the middle of a Saturday night. The clutch wouldn't engage, and therefore I could not get the car into gear. I had it towed to Hampton Ford/Hyundai, dropped off the key, and waited until Monday morning. When they called, they said they needed to replace the clutch disk and bearings, for $1300+, as well as some brake work for $500-$600, and some service stuff we'd already had done for another few hundred. I found Booker's through an internet search and they said they'd get back to me. Before they could, I called both places and asked them to email an estimate. From the big car dealership, I got basically a text email with no details. From Bookers, I got a pdf of an official estimate, which totaled about $1250 for all of it, brakes and clutch. We asked them to tow the car from the dealership, which they did for basically nothing. It took about as long as it would have at the dealership. When we went to pick it up, we got a little lost and arrived a little after 5 (we had called ahead). They were polite and waited for us. We talked to the man behind the counter, who was friendly and helpful. The whole experience there was pleasant and quick, which was just what we needed. Booker's helped turn what started as a terrible situation into a much less terrible situation. It's never pleasant to have to get work done in your car, especially in an area you don't know, but having someone treat you well and not take advantage of you when you are obviously in a bad situation is a breath of fresh air, especially in this age of mechanics. If you live in the area, or if you ever find yourself broken down anywhere near Hampton, NH, go to Booker's. They deserve it!

Great place, work done on time at quoted price. you know all the cost UP FRONT!! we live in Florida…read moreand spend 4 months in hampton each summer. it always hard to find a repair shop when you dont know who to ask. i found Bookers, best day of the summer. bodywork ,sticker, auto repair they have you covered. owner Rod Booker is a nice guy to deal with he looks at the car first not just pulls a price out of nowhere that scares you. i have recommended him to several people. Ed Mcgowen happy customer.
