Finally they looked over the mower and despite everything working except that one wire this is the estimate they sent us to "repair" this mower that's over 20 yrs old and can be bought brand new for less. They wanted almost 2300 for work "needed" despite them having the mower 5 different times. We told them forget it and they returned the mower with all the belts off and even the hood disconnected. She helped me choose some evergreen azalea plants that will have beautiful blooms in the spring but keep their green leaves in the winter. She listened to what I was looking for and even what colors I had in mind and showed me what she had. She is a super sweet woman! Some things to note: she is open by appointment only on Saturdays. She doesn't have all flowers (not particularly ones for a flower garden or window box), she specializes in shrubbery for landscaping.

When pricing out a mower I found myself looking at a Toro 54" at Lowes. I like doing business with…read moresmall local businesses so I chose Dickens as the price was the same and they offered a winter warranty service. It was described as a service that looks over the mower and repairs or replaces any issues found under warranty . I received a text saying the winter service was almost over so i called and got on the schedule. The mower only had 13.1 hrs on it and I just changed the oil and filter at 13hrs. I shared that when it was picked up. Today I received a call that the service was done and it was $329. The manager said I misunderstood the text as this was for a "service" not the selling point "warranty service". After a heated discussion the manager said he'd take off the oil change so $250. After I shared I'd be informing others of their way of doing business he said you can come and get it (obviously return delivery was not available to me anymore). At the store the manage put the price back at $329. He said if you're gonna share how we do business then I'm not going to cut you a break. So I suppose my silence would have saved me $79. There are several options when looking to spend over $4k on a mower. Don't get caught up in the fancy "double speak". At the end of the day their just another business taking advantage of the customer .

There is nothing like customizing your own home and skin care products, which are made with natural ingredients that are not only good for you but good for the planet. You can bring in your own clean, empty containers (just have them weighed at the counter before adding a product). Or they have a variety of neutral containers for you to choose from in-shop that have already been weighed. Pick your product and scent, fill 'er up, and then bring it to the counter to be weighed. I purchased hand soap and one of their containers and it was approximately $15. Most of that cost was a 1-time purchase of the bottle, which I will reuse next time. They have makeup, jewelry, kid products, cooking tools, reused/branded clothing, a sustainability library, teas, granolas, laundry/dish/hand soaps, shampoo, and the coolest toothpaste tablets (whatttt?!). We ask where to get into the building and they just pointed. We went in the building and looked around and no one ever came in to help us or ask us if we needed anything. So we went to the other building and there were 3 people in there working. As we went in one said hi. Once again no one ask if we needed any help or anything. Customer service none. We were looking to buy a 12' table and 10 chairs, a king bed with 2 night stands, and a couch. Sorry for them they didn't attempt to make a sale.
