Over the course of 3 years (July 2021- May 2024) all they did was make up excuses and tore apart the bike. Not a single bit of progress was made and now my bike is in hundreds of pieces. Had to arrive to their property unannounced with the San Felipe PD just to get my property back. I've given them ample opportunity to review the billing / invoicing during this time, and they dodge every attempt to meet. I have filed a lawsuit and am eager to have my day in court. 3 years ago, I dropped a 1974 Norton 850 Commando off to Darren and Malcolm along with $2,500.00. The bike had been sitting for 30 years in a basement, and was nearly in showroom condition except it didn't run, Darren and Malcolm were supposed to get the bike running and mechanically sound. Over the course of the next 3 years, they were nearly impossible to contact via phone. I made several trips to their house to check progress on the bike, often times the house and shop were locked, and I made the 1.5 hr drive back to the house not knowing the status of my motorcycle. On the rare occasion I was able catch them in the shop, I was met with lies and manipulation. They showed me freshly machined parts that belonged to another motorcycle to keep me at bay, I heard one story after another about supply chain issues on parts, only to find the parts readily available online from several different sources. When I finally picked up the motorcycle 3 years later, it was in pieces, the tank was full of rust and the disassembled parts were in plastic totes. I got the bike home only to find out some of the parts were missing, and I had also received parts from other people's motorcycles. And of course, I was never reimbursed any of my money. I would love to see these guys in Court, but time off work and lost wages would likely hit me harder than just dealing with what's left. At this point, I am hoping this review will further show a pattern of manipulation and fraud by Darren and Malcolm, and will hopefully strengthen someone else's case. read more

Malcomb is a liar, a cheat, and a thief. He had my bike for nearly two years cause he "couldn't get the parts" it "got the wrong part in" or "was having problems". Every call a new and pathetic excuse. I finally did hey my bike back, with a leaking gas tank, and Rust from the elements cause he stored it outside, and the bike doesn't even work right. Took a big deposit on "parts" cause he said it would make the work fo faster. A liar born and bred this man. Surrey all of that, he had the gaul to still charge the full quoted price if repair, or i couldnt take my bike off the lot. Talked to 5 other people on the net, at googlereviews, and other sites, including the two on Yelp here, a few of whom, weren't even able to get their bikes back in the first place, and had theirs give for even longer than mine. This man and his family CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. To make it worse, the mechanic protections here in Texas make it nearly impossible to prove, much less bring a case against a mechanic in this state. And the rub if it is, if your repair is bad, he wants you to bring it all the back to him. What, so you can sit on it for another year Malcomb? Yeah, will as long as these people are able to rip off money and time from customers, they'll be able to keep doing it, unfettered by such things as lawsuits and decency. read more

Took my Norton in for a motor rebuild, got a quote and paid for parts. A year and 4 months later went to pick up the bike. Ran very poor , Vibrated horribly and was impossible to start. Barrels were not painted. Took it back and was told it was the rotor and they would order a new one. Then it was necessary to tear the motor down, then test the crank shaft for a crack...then , after a year and a month, it might be the rotor and having trouble getting parts! Insaine! I would sell my bike and never ride again before taking it to these people. I turned in my bike for some basic service and EIGHT (8) Months later. Nothing IE NOTHING (0) was done. I kept getting excuses, delays, told things had take place. Once I went to finally pick it up They had not changed ANYTHING. But said they had done work and charged me. Oh, they also sold me parts. I needed fork seals. I needed them right away. Malcom did way more than provide what I asked for. He examined the forks closely and recommended new forks as mine were scratched beyond repair. Then he sourced a pair and got them on my bike sooner than if I did the work myself. And his shop rates are reasonable. read more

Took my older bike in to have a leaking carburetor fixed, engine and final drive oil changed, and a state inspection. This was in December of 2014. Weeks later, Malcolm told me that the ones on the bike were beyond repair. A few weeks after that, he told me that he had located a pair of carburetors but needed $500.00 in cash to but them. Of course, they didn't work; needed new diaphragms. By now it's May of 2015, five months later. Every time I called I got the same answer, "we're trying to locate some". A year passed, then 18 months. It's now September of 2016, twenty-one months after I first took the bike to his shop. Contacted an attorney, demanded to have the bike repaired and returned to me. Went to collect it and discovered, when gasoline was put in the tank while still at his shop, that the fuel tank was leaking so much that it was not ride-able. Took pics and video. He said that it was not his fault; the bike was just old and these things happened. I reminded him that there was NO leak when I left the bike in his care, almost 2 YEARS earlier. For at least some of the time, the bike was stored outside under a plastic cover. Have pictures of that, too. I feel that he is responsible for repairing or replacing the tank. He refuses to do either. Cannot recommend this business under any circumstances. Stay away. read more

Good place to have your oil or airhead repaired, very good BMW guys and very fair prices. Its kind of drive from Houston but worth it.
