I had to place a star to rate my experience.! If I could've, I would've not placed a star on it at all!! Very dissatisfied with my whole experience ! If you're looking for someone to actually show up and fix your hot tub, keep scrolling -- because my experience with Sean was an entire three-ring circus. I reached out a week before November 20, during a stretch of beautiful, warm, dry weather -- the kind of weather hot tub techs dream about. Sean told me he was busy closing pools (fine), but then still somehow forgot to put my appointment on the schedule. Not penciled in. Not noted. Not anything. Just vanished into the void. And this was during the best weather we had. Once the weather changed, the excuses started flying faster than my leaking hot tub water: "It might rain." "It's snowing." "The forecast moved." "We'll try again next Friday." "I'll update you tomorrow." Spoiler: tomorrow never existed. Then we got our first small snowfall -- not a blizzard, not Snowmageddon, literally a light Kansas dusting. I shoveled the same day it stopped snowing. Meanwhile, Sean told me he couldn't come the next day because he had to shovel snow. Sir... the snow was already shoveled by the rest of us yesterday. Shoveling snow instead of running your business? It's giving "I don't actually want to work." Meanwhile, my hot tub is leaking like it's got commitment issues. It cannot hold water for more than a minute. And somehow, he keeps asking me if I'm "keeping it warm." Warm with what? Telepathy? Steam? A hope and a bucket heater? Should I knit it a sweater? And THEN -- without ever coming out to look at it -- he told me, "It probably wouldn't be worth the money to fix it." How do you decide something isn't worth fixing when you never even laid eyes on it? That's not expertise -- that's guessing. He warned me over and over about freeze damage while simultaneously being the reason it wasn't getting fixed before the freeze. Make that make sense. After enough rescheduling attempts to fill a sitcom season, I hired someone else -- someone who honors appointments and, you know, actually shows up. Bottom line? He had perfect weather, claimed he was too busy closing pools, forgot to schedule me, later wouldn't come because of shoveling light snow, gave constant excuses, asked me to warm water that didn't exist, AND told me fixing it "probably wouldn't be worth it" without even looking at it. Shayne Zutavern WARNING WARNING: Well I would not EVER EVER EVER recommend Sean. He was supposed to install a new heater for us in January, waited 90 days and in the mean time the hot tub froze. All that was needed to fix it was to install a new manifold. He said "I'll be back with a new manifold in 30 minutes and we get it fixed. Seans Pool & Spa Service - WARNING - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! On January 22, we hired Sean's Pool & Spa Service to fix our hot tub. It needed a new heating element, so he ordered the part for us. It cost $500 and we paid him upfront for it. We reached out numerous times to see when he would be back with the part. We contacted him over 25 times, texting and calling. On 9 different occasions, he told us he was coming so we arranged to be home and waited for him to show. Each time he either canceled or no-showed. In the meantime, we had the big freeze in mid-February so our hot tub froze and the pipes broke. He finally came on April 21 (90 days after we paid him) to install the part. When he realized the hot tub was no longer working because of his negligence, he told us he had to go pick up a tool for the project but clearly he had no intention of ever coming back. He left the part uninstalled and texted us saying that his work was done. This has by far been the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It makes me sick to think this is how someone runs their business, and I hate thinking about him screwing other people over. As a small business owner myself, I wanted to support his business and I held out to give him the benefit of the doubt, but after my experience and reading about so many other people's negative experiences, I would never recommend him. read more

Don't Use this Company - Worst Service Ever! Do not use Sean's Pool and Spa unless you like handing your money over to someone who doesn't do what he was paid for. More importantly, doesn't understand that when you tell your customer you are going to come back and do the work that you actually come back and do it. Sean told me on 2/7/2018 that to do any service on our hot tub that he would need to drain it and that "his partner" had his pump. So he wouldn't be able to start the process until 2/8 as he needed to get his pump from his partner. The following day I received a call indicating that he couldn't do the work and his partner would be in touch with us shortly to come do the work he said he was going to do. After never getting a call or anyone showing up I called Sean to let him know that no one has showed up or contacted us, etc. He said he was out of town and that he would come back and do it. Now Saturday 2/10 we never heard from Sean again. We (wife and I) left multiple messages and texts to let him know we just want what we paid him in full for. Seems that once he got our money, he realized he didn't feel any obligation to do any work... I would avoid this business at all costs... Worst type of businesses are those that tell you what they are going to do, take your money, and never do any work. That sums up Sean's Pool and Spa perfectly. Scammer Business. I have been so impressed with Sean and how helpful he has been. We had to repair the hot tub in our home before selling it, and we were out of town having to find someone trustworthy to take care of it in our absence. Sean stepped up and did everything well, did it when he said he would, and communicated effectively by text and phone so that we knew what was going on every step of the way. That was so important to us as we were getting this work done from a distance. In the end, the cost was exactly what he quoted, and the work was excellent. Highly recommended. read more

Sean is a con man. He charges 80.00 for service call, charges for parts he has supposedly ordered and then never returns to do the work. I should have known better when he had to borrow my drill because his " partner " didn't charge his. If he spent as much time working as he does making excuses he might get something done.
