So we bought a new home in July 2020. We almost passed on the house because the pool was such a mess. Installed in 1979, it had not been maintained well, tiles falling off; mechanicals were down the hill and below the water line so could not keep water in it. Expansion joints in the concrete deck were huge and a safety hazard. Concrete it was in terrible shape. But we took a risk because we liked the house and property Called SAM at performance pools and he came to sit with us. We discussed what needed to be done and our options. First time pool owner so we had a ton of questions. He said despite the fact that they were slammed; he would add us to his project list. Mind you this pool was a mess. Other companies said it would be at least a year before they would help us. August, concrete deck is gone and re-poured. Tile complete and all new mechanicals. Spring comes along with a call they are coming to complete the plaster. We fill it and exactly 30 days later after the cure time they come to start the heater, the salt system and teach me how to maintain the pool. But they have been so great that I still have the biweekly maintenance with them. They are in and out in 15 minutes and always have time for my crazy questions. The entire Performance team has been a pleasure to work with, patient, helpful, and responsive. I deal with a lot of contractors and their attentiveness, response, and customer service have been great. The only problem is I can't get my 9 year old out of the pool. Performance pool and the team led by SAM are awesome! We had them install all new equipment and convert our pool to salt. SAM was great as explaining all the options and was not pushy at all. They do what they say, have been responsive to issues that arose and the weekly service is spot on. My pool looks great, they take care of everything and after a miserable experience with another company last year; they have re-affirmed for me what long standing companies with a local presence stand for and do. You can go cheaper with other companies, but SAM and his team are worth every penny you pay them. read more

I have had major work done on my in ground pool by Performance pools in the last 10 years and all the work done was extremely well done. All the people are very friendly and knowledgeable at what they do. I will continue to use them for any pool work I need a d have recommend to friends and family. We are extremely happy with the work that SAM and his crew did on our pool renovation. Our pool was completely destroyed, and we needed a major overhaul, which included demolishing the existing deck, putting in pavers, re-plastering a concrete pool, re-coping, re-tiling, changing all the plumbing, and installing a heater. SAM gave us an estimate a day later and did not veer from the contract at all. He worked tirelessly, sometimes in 100 degree weather and at times even on the weekends to get the job done. Sam is a one man show. His website does not accurately represent his company. He did not pay the concrete company so a notice of lien on my property was sent to me. We paid him 13K and he would not fix his mistakes and would not refund any of the money we gave him. Found every excuse not to work. Very poor company. I believe he is a scam read more

I'm adding another review to respond to Sam's claim that he didn't install my cover correctly because my wife wanted a railing, which is funny because I have multiple pictures of the cover and tracks installed before the railing was installed. read more
