I have had three different technicians to repair my whirlpool wahshing machine. technician one-came to house took model number of machine and ordered a door latch. technician two came out couldn't install new door latch. He said it was the wrong part and ordered new part. technician three came and installed second door latch. He said it was the same door latch that technician ordered. that did not fix the problem and he took apart the machine and said it was a board and ordered a new board. technician two came back to install new board and said it was the wrong part. he said they the board for my machine anymore. He said I would be refunded $439.42 the cost I had paid so far. The first appt was Jan 23 and the last appointment was Feb 15 . read more

Ok. So I called on Friday and was promised they'd be there that day. Yay, right? Got it all scheduled. An hour later it was cancelled. No reason, even called back, still got no reason, but they rescheduled it. Now it's on Monday. Get the confirmations and everything. Now I get a notice that it's been rescheduled for Tuesday. No call or text or anything to ask if that would be ok. Just moved. I don't know if they'll get it done Tuesday or if they'll even show. But there is a complete lack of professionalism. I hope they read this review. I know any company CAN do better. read more

He never showed up to fix my washer machine. This was the 3rd time that I had an appointment for service when no one came to even look at my machine. They didn't contact me either by phone or text to explain why. I called Sears repair to complain and all they can tell me is they will schedule another appointment. Don't purchase a total protection plan from Sears for your appliance. They are unhelpful and are only looking to turn a profit on the policies they write. read more

The technicians did a great job and were super friendly. The online and phone support is another story. The initial visit the technician ordered the part . The second visit was delayed because their system said the part wasn't delivered . I spent hours on the phone trying to talk to someone letting them know that the part was indeed delivered. It turned out the part wasn't what was actually wrong. So they ordered a new part. When delivered all I received was the packaging. No actual part. Once again hours on the phone trying to find support to report the missing part. I was then told it would be expedited. Well that didn't happen. The technician came out and had to order the part. All in all it took about 5 weeks to get my built in oven working again . read more

The only reason I gave them a 4 vs a 5 is I am not a fan that their call center services are offshored and it is really hard to understand what the call reps are saying. Other than that, the service tech they sent was fantastic and solved my problem of a leaky front load washer in one quick visit. UPDATE: Do NOT get the Home Warranty plan!! I paid for 3 months and called 3x. Twice for a furnace issue and once for a garage door issue. I'd get a message saying someone would call within 24-48 hrs and no call back on either issue. Ended up of course paying for heating and garage door services direct vs under the warranty. When I called Sears Home Warranty to cancel, they said they saw I called and didn't know why no one called back. Per my original review, the appliance repair locally was good, but don't buy their Home Warranty that they will try to sell you. read more

I originally requested a repair on an oven back in May. The first available appt was in early August. The tech came out and was very nice. We paid in full for a new part and the service call. The part came without any notification from Sears. When I finally realized what it was and opened it, it was broken. I notified them and let them know it was here, but it was broken. They sent a new one and scheduled a different tech to come out and install it. He came a week later. Said it was fixed. The first time I tried to use it a few days later I immediately got the same error code. I called Sears and the first available appointment is in a month. They said if it wasn't the original issue we'd have to pay for the service call again. I have no issue paying for the parts (although did I even need the first $300 part?) but I think it's ridiculous to wait ANOTHER month (4 months total) to have someone come out again that I have to pay to resolve an issue that should have been fixed under the first and second visits! Unfortunately Sears is the only repair place in the area and now I have to use them to get their 90 day warranty on the part. read more
