I received a call from Matt, who was polite and professional. I was able to explain the problem with the sensor dry feature and he was able to quickly diagnose the issue. Unfortunately the issue could not be fixed because of the age of the appliance, and Matt took a moment to show me his reference resource as proof. I was not charged for the service call, which I greatly appreciated. I have done business with Speedway Appliance a number of times in the past and will not hesitate to call on them again for my appliance service and repair.

He preformed no diagnostics on my washing machine however he stated that he knew 100% what the problem was from his BS line of working for Sears and he was very familiar with this brand as he serviced many of the same machines. In addition, when he removed the top control board, he used a screwdriver to pry it off causing exterior damage to the washer. He stated that it was the only way to get access to the clips holding the board in place. When I confronted him via text of the damage he had done, the guy flipped out and acted like a young child who didn't get his own way. He went on to tell me that once the new control board was installed that it would cover the gouges he created and also that there was a paint that could be used. In addition, he was very wrong when he told me it was the only way to remove the control board. It's been nothing but a very bad experience with this business from start to finish. Also, I would like to add that he wanted me to tell my homeowners insurance company that experienced a power outage that fried the 2 control boards. I told him that I'll have to get the date of the power outage from this past summer but he said that we had to make it look like the power outage surge had recently happened and that he'll have to "fudge" the dates. I requested an itemized receipt which Ken Hardesty never provided to me. There's more to this horrific experience that I won't get into right now. Do yourself a big favor and never do business with this guy. I wouldn't even let him change batteries in a flashlight for me. He was never able to repair the machine and made out like a bandit with what he charged me for parts. Shame on you Ken Hardesty!! (Note: The parts from Amazon are brand new parts...not refurbished)
