We had a lot of fun taking the silver wire wrap jewelry making class at Seas the Day. Shop is just across the bridge by the Port Isabel lighthouse. It was a class with myself and two daughters (8) and (10) and Brian was very patient teaching us and we came out of it with some pretty necklace pendants if I do say so myself. Brian is the owner and jewelry artist of Seas the Day. He personally and promptly returned my call (followed up with a text since my cell reception was spotty on the island) to arrange the class the day prior. This was such a fun place to stop! The owner sat with my husband and I for probably a couple hours and taught me how to make a gorgeous pair of earrings from scratch! He was incredibly patient with me and allowed my husband to record how to do it on his phone so I could remember when I went home. A definite stop! There were several stones to choose from as well! A MUST STOP SHOP. I visited this gift shop 3 times when I stayed in padre for 4 days! Owner is a super friendly guy that is trying to do something different in South Padre Island when it comes to shopping. This quaint little shop features hand blow art glass,beautiful stone & glass jewelry. All at a very decent price. If you do not want to take any classes, he sells ready to purchase jewelry, minerals, gems, stones, and fossils (shark's teeth and sea shells).
