LIAR - Do NOT trust Mike Goldberg Both my husband and I have been using Seaside Auto for 12 years, but never again. I usually schedule our service with Roger (co-owner) but he was not working when I called to have a tire looked at. After looking at the tire Mike told me that it could not be patched and needed to be replaced. Of course he put the fear of God in me when I said that I wasn't prepared to replace the tire and asked to just add air to it, he said that I could have a blowout any second. After some discussion, I reluctantly agreed to purchasing 2 new tires. I had recently purchased all 4 Michelin tires from Seaside and asked if they would offer an adjustment for the replacement. Mike said "Did I cause you to get the nail in it?" I also asked if he would apply a loyalty discount because I had previously received that, he said NO! So, he had to order the tires and told me that it would be ready the next afternoon. When I returned to pick up and pay the $550+ I told him that I would not be back because of his ugly attitude. He said "Well, you were asking for everything free!" This is EXACTLY why I said that he is a LIAR...the word free never came out of my mouth, which makes me fully believe that he can't be trusted. read more

I can't say enough great things about this shop. I came in with what felt like a complete lemon -- a problem no one else could seem to figure out -- and they didn't just take a shot in the dark and send me on my way. They stayed with it. From start to finish, the team at Seaside kept me in the loop, stood behind their work, and made it clear they were committed to actually solving the issue -- not just patching it. That level of honesty and follow-through is rare. They got me safely back on the road when other places couldn't, and that's not something I take lightly. This place is awesome! Our car had a bit of a snafu and we needed something to help tack a piece that was dragging. Roger immediately went to get something and came right back with zip ties. They were very busy, but he took the time to get them for me and explain how to use them. No charge either! I know it may sound simple, but his courtesy really meant A LOT. I brought my van in for an issue I was having intermittently and they kept it for about half a day, having everyone check it out. The issue wasn't presenting then, so they gave it back without charging me and gave me advice on what to do if it happened again. As luck would have it, I never had the issue again. Their actions of thoroughly checking it and yet not charging me showed a level of honesty & integrity that was incredibly impressive to me. As a military family, finding new people every time we move is incredibly stressful. We will definitely use Seaside Auto for all our future needs. I recently bought a used car and took it to seaside for a comprehensive check to make sure everything was okay. THANKS to the staff and owners! I was very impressed with the job. The owner went over the inspection report with line by line. I even left with estimates for what needed to addressed now, and a separate one for the other things. I recommend them any day! Car issues can be stressful, but Seaside Auto Repair made my car care easy! I called first and they let me know a good time window to come in to check my tires because the light has been on for a while. They talked me though what was going on then found a solution the same day. Lesson learned: metal caps can corrode. Mike and the crew have been taking care of customers for 20+ years. It shows! Crooks,rip off artists,dishonest. Those are the first three words that come to my mind, to sum up my experience with this shop. They wanted to charge me over $178 for changing my battery. Even though the replacement battery was provided free by the manufacturer, interstate. My old battery was still under the warranty. When I asked why so much,many auto part stores provide thus service for free!!! He said,we ran an engine diagnostic ($72), electronic diagnostic ($39), labor, shop parts and supplies and tax. I asked what diagnosis, the car didn't start and gad to be jumped....obviously the first thing is a battery test...Duh!!! To no avail. I finally paid over $128 to get my car back. I'm writing this review for an elderly gentleman who doesn't have internet capability. John had previously gone to an auto repair location close to his home in Rockledg, Fl. The work was not guaranteed and he got what he paid for. My husband told him of Seaside Auto Repair and their reputation and reviews so we drove him there. Roger gave him the estimate and John left his vehicle. Roger and his team repaired the issue and contacted John several days later to follow up. Roger has a new customer for a long time. All his auto services will be completed at Seaside. Their rates were fair and no one took advantage of a senior citizen. read more

Just brought in my vehicle for service to a tire. First and last time I will use this place. The actual owner of the place was the rudest person I have ever seen. I asked a simple question about how they were going to service my vehicle and he started yelling telling me not to worry about how they would fix it and that they knew what they were doing. I honestly didn't know if I needed to use my jack and take the old tire off since it was completely flat. Had absolutely no idea they would plug the tire in the parking lot. When I explained this to the owner, his exact response to me was "I am way too busy for your stupid questions!" I am completely blown away. What business owner talks to customers this way? Especially a first time Customer! I will never be back! read more

You can't trust these guys. Took it in to replace a purge valve and they charged me over 400 bucks for a part that cost 150. And they didnt even put it in properly. Took them a few days to try and figure it out and they never fixed the problem. I took it in a second time for them to refix it and they still didnt know what the problem was. Had to take it to another place and in 10 minutes they found that the hose to the purge valve had holes in it. They told me you have to be careful with these hoses because they tear easily which they probably caused. Couple of weeks before the purge valve i had a battery installed and also a crank sensor which i probably didnt even need. The new battery would have most likely reset everything. The car still has issues starting due to that, they probably damaged that somehow as well. This place is overpriced and has a lack of experience find another mechanic. They should be reimbursing me for all the trouble and money that im now having to shell out. read more

I have gone to other mechanics in Satellite Beach and these guys are tops. They got me in quickly, made repairs quickly for a reasonable price and give a military discount. They are now the only mechanics I take my vehicles to. read more

This guy is my HERO! I bought a used Jeep for 18 grand. Two days after I bought the jeep from a small dealership it overheated and I took it to seaside. There was no motor damage and it was just basically a hose that fell off. But the reason the hose fell off was because the entire bottom of the jeep was rusted including the frame. The guy at seaside didn't inspection and let me know that the vehicle was not safe to drive. After much to do with the place I bought it, and the guy from seaside talking to the sales person on my behalf,I was able to back out of the deal. Had it not been for seaside, for his completely having my back and assisting me with the return, i would be stuck w that rust bucket! I can't thank them enough. I have been using Seaside Auto Repair for years and years, and I am so, so pleased with their service. Their prices are reasonable, and their advice and service are reliable. They have had numerous opportunities over the years to try to suggest, say, fixes I don't truly need, and they have never done this. I trust them implicitly. When I am out of the state and my cars need work, it is actually depressing to me to have to take them somewhere other than Seaside Auto Repair. Seaside quoted a price for a repair to replace (two rear) air springs on a Lincoln Towncar, on Monday 02/01/2016 with a scheduled repair on Thursday 02/04/2016 8:00am at a charge of $80.00... I was supplying two new Arnott air springs and solenoids. On Monday the owner (I think he was the shop owner- a man about 50 years old) and I discussed our experiences with Arnott air springs used on Lincolns.......... I have used Arnott air springs since the 1990's ... an excellent product which I installed on a 1984 Lincoln Mark VII many times .. a 30+ years old Lincoln Mark VII and still looking and running good..... it took me less than 10 minutes to install an air spring on a Lincoln Mark VII. I decided to have the air springs installed by Seaside Auto Repair on my Lincoln Towncar which in slightly different than the Lincoln Mark VII. The Seaside person at the front desk today was not the same shop owner who had quoted the $80.00. The Seaside person today at the front desk did not like the $80.00 quote that I had been given on Monday, and went back and asked the mechanic how long for the repair -- the mechanic said .9 hours. I was then presented with a new work order to sign which was approximately $100.00... The original signed work order did not have an estimate or amount shown. I WAS NOT suppose to hear the mechanic say .9 hours labor...... in my opinion. I said the $100.00 was ok... and said the air springs and solenoids are in the trunk of my car. The Seaside person today said nobody said anything about installing solenoids. I said when you install a new air spring it must have a solenoid...you can either install the old solenoid from the removed air spring or install a new solenoid (this is a normal task in replacing an air spring). I furnished both the Arnott air springs and solenoids. I was then told by the Seaside person they did not need my business....... I left with no additional discussion. I was not discourteous ... I left when told they did not want my business...... I had a good recommendation on Seaside Auto Repair from a neighbor... I would NOT recommend Seaside Auto Repair, 101 3rd Street, Satellite Beach, FL based on my experience today - 02/04/2016. read more
