Dr. Yazdani is very charming personality wise, but I do not trust the practice or medical ethics. I was severely anemic and while my insurance was going to kick in effect so I can see a hematology specialist ... I came to her for my severe anemia. She offers iron infusions, but never informs the public it was not Venofer or a form of iron that will make any difference in your hemoglobin level. She probably should have been more honest about the fact that "Hey you are severely anemic and this infusion will not dramatically increase your iron levels or make a difference in hemoglobin." That would be honest and it cost me about $600 in wasted money. I would not go to her because I do not find her credible or honest. Two very important things needed in a healthcare provider. Dr. Yazdani has excellent bedside manner. I never feel rushed and beyond that she seems genuinely interested in my health. She is totally tech savvy. She uses a computer instead of old fogey paper charts. She sends emails! The lab even sent my blood test results to her electronically. So cool. The office is modern and super clean. You'd think they moved in yesterday, but apparently have been there a while. Parking in the building is easy and FREE. I do wish the walls were a little thicker (I heard the patients conversation in the room next to mine), but hey, you can't have everything all the time. I first met Dr.Yazdani when she was assigned to me when I was at St John's recovering from an infection. At same time was looking for new GP/internist and she shared an office with a respected and kind, but older and disconnected Doc. Surprised to find her there, liked her again, switched. Have been so glad. She's the one of three female doctors that I trust, that I know know me and my history, and care. Everything everyone says about the way she listens, and connects to you is right. She also recently saved me from dangerously high blood pressure that even working w/my cardiologist, wouldn't come down. After trying various meds and patches she had an idea, did a blood test, and discovered irritated adrenal glands were producing too much " aldosterone ", which elevated it. One little pill at night and HB problem TOTALLY CORRECTED. I had been hitting 210/110. Both my parents had strokes. So scary. She always spends time with me, always has blood work done and ready to talk about as I have multiple things that have to be watched. I feel so safe knowing I have her, Dr Dixie Richards watching for skin cancer, Dr Karen Kornreich my OB/GYN for female stuff. Those women have protected me for years.I travel a lot but always return back here for medical issues. What a relief it is to know I have a smart, personable, even humorous, more than capable doctor doing what doctors are supposed to be doing. I highly recommend that everyone steer clear of this awful medical practice. I found the overall office tone demeaning and condescending without an ounce of care. As others have noted, this doctor is all about selling her products and beauty services, the medical part does not interest her. I waited for two hours to complete my visit, with 1/3 of that being conducted by a nurse-in-training. Most of my time in her office were spent with her pushing blood lab services, artificial hormones and skin care products. It was a nightmare, that cost me $$$$$. I hate to write a poor review under Dr. Yazdani's name, given that I never even got to meet her... I scheduled an appointment with her (or so I thought) based on her positive Yelp reviews and because my insurance company was ending its relationship with UCLA, where of course my former PCP practices. I came to the office only to find out that my appointment was actually with the physician's assistant, Christine Soriano. It's not that I'm a snob or that I had any complex medical issues to address (this was just a routine annual exam), but my experience with Christine was really disconcerting. It's just unfortunate that she falls under the umbrella of Seaside Medical Practice and Dr. Yazdani. My appointment started out normally enough, with Christine asking the standard questions about my general health. But when it came to the physical exam, things started to get a bit uncomfortable -- as if it weren't uncomfortable enough just to be lying naked in front of a complete stranger! First Christine noticed a mild skin condition that I have (psoriasis) and kept commenting on how red it was, in a way that made me 1) feel incredibly self-conscious, and 2) question her medical knowledge -- given how common psoriasis is and how mild my case is. Then we proceeded to the pap-smear segment of the appointment (sorry for the graphic detail, guys!). I had just finished my period, which I told her, but she nonetheless seemed shocked to find some dried blood "up there" (my apologies again!!). She kept commenting on the blood she was seeing, and even said, "do you want me to show you??" as if I didn't believe her or couldn't fathom the magnitude of the situation without seeing it for myself. I'd just finished my period and she was seeing blood. Was I missing something?? Again, her comments made me feel very self-conscious and, at this point, cemented the fact that I possessed more medical knowledge (or perhaps just more common sense??) than she -- and my education stopped with a bachelor's degree. ;) I decided to write this review when my pharmacy tried to have my prescriptions refilled through this office. I take 2 medications daily and have been on the same meds/dosages for 6+ years. When I saw my UCLA physician, she'd write me new prescriptions for those meds with 12 refills, so I'd be set until my next annual exam. Christine, on the other hand, wrote prescriptions with only 2 refills, which ran out this month. My pharmacy tried calling their office for a week, with no response or return phone call. The pharmacy eventually left ME a message, and I ended up having to call Seaside Medical myself to ask them to call in my refills -- which they did at that point (again, with only 2 refills -- UGH!!!). I'm just lucky that I still had some pills left when I originally requested the refills through my pharmacy and that my meds are not necessary to keep me alive!! From what I've seen of the Seaside Medical office, there's nothing to recommend it. Perhaps if my appt had actually been with Dr. Yazdani, I would be writing a different review. read more

Unfortunately the Groupon states it would cover one area! When I arrived & finally saw the doctor, she advised me this was an "introductory price" and then stated I would need to fork out several hundred dollars more to cover the one area. Instead of paying more, I asked for a refund due to an unfortunate financial situation I'm in and the doctor stated I could "give it away." I did not purchase this to spend an additional several hundred dollars! I think it should be disclosed that for some people, particularly males, this would NOT be sufficient to cover one area! I was also informed that Dysport was NOT equivalent to Botox and that Dysport only does about one third of what Botox does, despite what I have researched online! I cannot spend an additional $300 for Dysport just for the forehead even though I ONLY have wrinkles when I frown really strongly! I left WITHOUT the treatment and without a refund! The doctor actually said, "you'll be back when you can afford it. We will save the 50 cc." The Groupon was marked as "redeemed" although all that happened was me driving there for no reason! read more

First and foremost, I am glad to see that in your last ad, the headline reads "administered by Dr. Yazdani, MD" - could it be that I might have something to do with that change? If yes, then that's all I wanted. For the public to be safe. Give Christine the chance to practice more, let her look over the shoulder of an experienced person and learn. You write "not a single out of 1000 patients complained' but scroll down and read other yelp reviews. You write "You signed a waiver" and you gave me back half which you didn't have to... Yes, we do sign these waivers, hope for the best, and then things don't turn out right. Do you feel that people who spend their hard earned money and then doesn't get the service they expected, let alone, being injured, don't deserve their money back? A good will gesture when their health was compromised? I am out the money I paid you, paid a physician to undo some damage with the money you gave me back and still look at the scars every single day. I should have been fully reimbursed and then some. I will never sign anything like that ever again. I am just glad this was not a waiver for something of a greater magnitude. You talk about allergic reactions? I have used other facilities before, and only the attractive rate made me switch. Bad mistake. Having said that, I never had an allergic reaction elsewhere and my dermatologist confirmed that this was not the result of a bad reaction but caused by the way the filler was injected. Unprofessionally, superficially, all over the place, and not deep enough. I appreciate the long overdue and formal apology. I don't want to harm anyone's business or bad mouth a person, but this is about health and I felt it was right to inform others. My suggestion would be to offer Christine some retraining. She might be good at what she does, maybe know how to inject the superficial Botox well, but the fillers that should go deep, and were injected superficially are more complicated and need well trained people, regardless of their degree. She seems to lack that experience and as mentioned, any person has the right to learn and develop their skills. You should get the help she needs to get to that point. read more

I guess I should have read the reviews before I purchased my groupon. It was a terrible experience. I purchased a groupon for 50 dysport units. First I was given the wrong time and told that the doctor couldn't see me. I had taken a day of work to get there. But I took another day of work to come back the next week. Showed up early. When I finally got to see the "doctor" who wasn't even a doctor but a pa. She told me that she wouldn't give me 50 units for 3 areas only for 1. I have never used more than 50 for all 3 areas and I won't now. This is my body and it's my decision how much and what I put in it. She refused and then started becoming very rude. She refused to do it and said she would only do it if she can put the full 50 in one area. She was so obviously trying to get me to purchase more units. After reading all the reviews I'm not surprised that they are desperate. I walked out and will be getting a refund form groupon. She seemed to find all my inquiries entertaining and answered every one of my questions. Unfortunately I was NOT seen by Dr. Yazdani and the "One Area" as stated in fine print on Group-on was confusing to say the least. I was very unhappy with the results done by Christine (who is licensed to do the injections) I was bruised and left with a lump on my forhead. Left several messages and finally was able to meet with the Doctor. Update; 2/13/14 I went back to the office and met with Dr. Yazdani. I paid for 70 units more to fix the problem. I was frustrated and disappointed at my initial results and to pay extra but, Dr. Yazdani was very professional and spoke to me on how the problem can be resolved. So, I took a chance. Update; 2/17/14 The original problem was resolved and my face did bruise a little, but I really really like the outcome, and glad she told about the other areas that needed it. I would like to start by saying I have never written a review of anything before, but I am so upset by my experience, I signed up just to write this review to warn others. I went to the practice needing an iron infusion - I was severely anemic. I spoke with a staff member before making my appointment to get a price. It was roughly $230 for an injection. In my appointment the doctor convinced my to use another brand which would cost me $900 cash price. I felt a little uncomfortable as I wasn't prepared to pay that much but I felt pressured as she was very pushy. Then when they completed the treatment and I went to the front desk, he tried to charge me $1350 for the one treatment. I almost fell over. I went in expecting to pay around $230 and they tried to charge me $1350. I told them I felt like they had tricked and misleaded me. He didn't seem to care. Now a month later they email me asking me to print and sign another form for payment which was never discussed in the appointment or after. I could not recommend this place to anyone. She insists patients get medicines she prescribes from the compound pharmacy she deals with. And she sells numerous supplements that she demands you need. As a concierge doctors, if you are not on that plan playing, she charges for phone calls, emails, letters, prescriptions, etc. When calling the office, the automated message states that the "friendly team members" will help you. I appreciate that her approach is holistic, in that treatment focuses on the whole person, and not just the treatment of an isolated symptom. She is an MD that practices with an Integrative approach so you are not pushed out the door with prescriptions for a quick fix. Yes, I did read all the other reviews before going to Dr. Yazdani, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and here are my 5 stars based on actual experience. Called in the morning, it was an emergency (in my mind), I'm a new patient so Dr. Y didn't owe me any of her time. Her front office lady, Aneek, was able to fit me right in that same afternoon, after I told her it is urgent. She told me I would have to wait though as she was squeezing me in. To everyone who says Aneek is cold, I would like to propose another word - efficient! The lady was extremely polite when I got there, knew what papers to ask for, was really quick with the insurance/paperwork, etc, and...I had to wait not more than 15min. I couldn't believe how fast they were able to see me. Their assistant was a very sweet girl who took vitals and made me feel SO comfortable. Dr, Yazdani - a huge Thank You! I really thought I was dying that day, it appeared to be a minor indigestion caused by stress. Dr. Yazdani listened to all I had to say, offered her perspective, understood my desire to have minimally invasive treatment, and recommended possible solutions. I'm feeling significantly better knowing it is curable and not such a major problem. And I couldn't recommend enough Dr. Yazdani for her knowledge of both Western & Eastern medicine, and her openness to work with the patient and recommend the most comfortable and efficient treatment. I did not see Dr. Yazdani and this review is about her staff. I went in to see my Dr. (Dr. Gordon) and he shares an office with Dr. Yazdani. I was in considerable pain and near tears. Dr. prescribed a prescription for his staff to call in to my pharmacy. I didn't have the pharmacy number but I did have their address. I had no internet or cell service in their office so I could not look up the number for them. They couldn't find the right Rite Aid in their files so I asked if they could google it or use the internet to look it up. (Meanwhile standing at the counter in pain). The woman who sits at the desk with a computer in front of her and works for Dr. Yazdani butted in and said 'She can't use the internet." So I said "do you have a phonebook?" Received a snotty NO! So I said, "well we are in an office an you obviously have internet so can't you look up the pharmacy number?" She was so incredibly rude and unsympathetic and just stared at me and said "NO, I am busy!" I was SPEECHLESS! And near tears. I literally was shaking. I mean, she wouldn't even let Dr. Gordon's staff look up a phone number to HELP a patient. Wow.... Another incident. While waiting for help a man came out from his Dr. appt. into the reception area and asked for the men's bathroom key. She said "we don't have a key, someone took it home." (mind you there IS a bathroom in this office) He said, "well, can I use the women's then?" She said, "No". He said "what am i supposed to do?" She said "Go into someone else's office and use their key." Unbelievable, completely horrible woman and so mean to sick people. What kind of person acts like this? She is a middle aged white woman with dyed blonde hair and glasses and no one would give me her name so I could complain. I am so upset and have to wonder if this staff member reflects Dr. Yazdani. She should be fired. I love my doctor and was so disappointed to endure this experience. I went in happy and hopeful!! Came out confused and dejected. I don't know why I didn't read the reviews beforehand...Now I know!! The Office manager took my license, and then took a picture of me...I asked why, I already purchased the botox..It's standard, ya never know what kind of people you get in here. Okay, so I'm taken back to the room to wait, and Christine comes in and I ask her if I can spread the 50ius from the forehead to the crows feet..She makes a sniffy squint at me and repeats me..I say yes, let's do 5 iu 2 places each eye, then the rest on the forehead...She looks at me as if I just insulted her.. She says, "what do you mean?" again..and she takes out the syringe, I say there, the 5 iu mark. 2 on each side, that's 20 ius, then the rest on the forehead...we go back and forth with her getting more and more irritated. I said okay I guess we can just do the forehead. She turns and says, I will ask the doctor... The Office manager returns and tells me Christine refuses service, and to get my refund back from Groupon. I say we can just do the forehead." She says "no"."you can just get your refund." I have never in my life met a less caring doctor. She hurt my entire family by being selfish and making huge life threatening mistakes. After begging her to call me back to discuss a family members hospitalization, she refused to do that, sending her receptionist to do her job. She just didnt want to deal, respond, answer any important questions... I got a text that she is off for the weekend, while my family member for in cricial condition in the ER, she texted me a new doctors number who I didnt even know! I was referred to Dr. Yazdani by my neurologist. While my experience with the Dr. was fine, my experience with her office and her office policies was not. I had two major problems that ultimately led me to decide not to return to Dr. Yazdani's care. First is her 'no billing' policy. Even though the Dr. is a PPO provider she does not want to be bothered with billing. She requests that you leave her your credit card information so that she can get her money at her will. I have been a victim of identity theft and know better then to leave my credit card information anywhere, so I declined this method. Her office staff then told me I would be subject to a penalty fee being added to my bill if I didn't comply. Second, the Dr. doesn't do any lab work in her office, so she sent me away with a referral to a lab for tests. She also mentioned that my insurance may not cover all the tests, so I should find out what they do cover and decide which tests I wanted to have. Well, this is no easy matter. After hours on the phone, being disconnected, calling back, the insurance Co. asked me questions I couldn't answer and ultimately gave me no answers. I called back Dr. Yazdani's office and spoke with a very rude Aneet, who refused to assist me. I told Aneet I felt I had no choice but to cancel my follow up appointment with the Dr. and seek a Dr. who's office could offer more assistance, and she said "Okay".
