5/5 Seasport Divers DELIVERED We loved diving with them so much that we ended up booking 4 dives total -- 2 boat dives and 2 shore dives. Our first boat dive was actually our very first certified dive after getting certified, so I was definitely nervous But Anthony, our divemaster, was incredible. He guided us through the most amazing dive sites, helped us explore caverns, work on our buoyancy, and I got unbelievably close to my favorite sea turtles I got a little seasick because the waters were stormy and choppy during the first dive, but the whole crew encouraged me to get back in for the second one and I'm SO grateful I did because it ended up being one of my favorite dives ever. We loved the experience so much that we booked another shore dive with Cody and it was equally amazing. We got super close to the honus again, ended up right in the middle of a bait ball, saw a HUGE barracuda, and the most beautiful giant mushroom coral. Beyond the dives themselves, the people here were just sooo kind, encouraging, and welcoming. At one point they even gave Tim and me a thumbs up and said we didn't seem like new divers which honestly made our whole day Absolutely loved this shop and will 1000% dive with them again. read more

The Ni'ihau dive with Seasport Divers is pretty much a spiritual experience and probably the best dive of my life. The crew was top notch, both professionally and personably - it was like diving with friends that were also experts in their field. All three dives were exceptional. 100 ft. visibility. Monk seals, white and black tipped sharks, octopus, rays - walls of reef fish, and swim throughs that will blow your mind. Our DM Anthony was super knowledgeable, professional, and didn't miss a beat whenever there was an opportunity to point out marine life or provide special experiences like swim throughs. Debbie was our bubble watcher for the day and was warm, friendly and extremely attentive. Corbin was funny and a jack of all trades (appreciated his boat driving). I do recommend: 1) some Dramamine - the swells are no joke, especially on the way back, and the surface intervals can be rocky; and 2) go with this outfit and their bigger boat - I can't imagine going on a smaller boat and not being the Palu man. And lastly, take their advice: stick together and put down the camera - you'll never get the experience of a lifetime through the two inch LCD screen on your GoPro, and the pictures will never look as good as the ones you take with your own two eyes and mind. The Seasport Divers crew was great. The entire staff; from the dive shop to our actual dive team. We chartered our own boat for the day. Erika, our dive master was great and very understanding to our situation. We had an uncertified diver with us and Erika allowed us to dive to 85ft. for our first dive without the uncertified diver and then on the second dive, she allowed the uncertified diver to dive with us down to about 30ish feet. Erika was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We told her what we wanted to see and max depth we wanted to dive and she nailed it. Our captain Tom was also great, friendly, knowledgeable, and a great conversationalist. When we come back to Kauai, we will dive with Seasport Divers and and hopefully Captain Tom and Erika. My husband had a fabulous time on his introductory ocean dive. I was not ready to go this time. His instructor Jeff was wonderful. After taking time to meticulously explain what he needed to know and expect, he took him out to the ocean, made sure he was comfortable, checked his ability to clear his mask and the regulator, then off they went on their first of two dives. Jeff was not only their underwater tour guide he was also keeping an eye on him. He always made sure of his comfort level, making sure both dives were an exceptional experience. We booked a 2 dive boat tour with Seasport Divers with the Intro to Scuba for our 13 year old son to see if he would be interested in getting certified. He was sick on the day of our tour and then were understanding enough to rebook us for several days later at no cost. Our Diver Master was Sierra and she was great! Explained everything really well for my son and made him feel comfortable. He was really nervous beforehand but afterwards he said it was really fun. She took her time and made sure to show us all the sealife - turtles, moray eels, a lobster and of course tons of fish. Our boat captain was Cole. He was really nice. I was feeling motion sick after the second dive so he didn't waste any time getting us back to the dock. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for a wonderful day on the water!!!! read more

I have been diving with Seasport for ~9 years, at least every other year. While each time was great, this time was exceptional customer service wise. I am a certified diver, my fiancé has done some discover scuba courses with Seasport before, and we had a friend brand new to scuba joining. Since neither my friend or fiancé are certified, they did the brief intro course with Diver Dina, who was very reassuring and helpful during the practice session. We ended up diving with Cam since Dina unfortunately had a sinus issue (not safe to dive with sinus issues, it happens!), and we appreciated the shop's efforts in securing a new dive guide and making things work between certified/non-certified so that our dive didn't have to be cancelled. We were extremely lucky in that we had the ENTIRE boat to ourselves, no one else happened to book (private boats cost a lot but we got crazy lucky)! Our friend ended up not diving, but Seasport staff made sure he had snorkel gear to still enjoy the boat trip. Cam stayed with my fiancé (non-certified) and let me (certified) hover around nearby as long as I wasn't too far away. Cam was a very attentive guide and made sure my fiancé was safe and had all his gauges checked, and helped keep his buoyancy under control. Captain Ryan was also great. Very laid back and gave good, straightforward dive site briefings. We had a great time, saw some turtles, tons of fish, and heard humpback whales singing underwater! When we got back to the dive shop, we were waiting on friends to pick us up, who were unfortunately still over an hour away in Hanalei. Shop owner Marvin stepped in and offered us a ride back to our hotel. To be fair, we were the only ones in the shop and our hotel was only ~5 minutes away, don't expect this as a regular service if you book. We would have otherwise walked in the rain for quite a while after being exhausted post-dive. We really appreciated the kind gesture. That is the real aloha spirit! Always recommend this shop! My wife wished for us to see Honu's prior to her scattering and Captain Cole went to an area known for Honu's thereby meeting one of my wife's last wishes. The area Captain Cole took us to for the scattering was perfect and the scattering was wonderful. Captain Cole provided the scattering coordinates to Hawaiian Ash Scattering without delay and Devin provided the coordinates to me so I could add them to the Eternlife Memorial Map website. Not enough great things to say about Seasport! To start, the shop was super helpful in getting us new low pressure hoses when we realized ours were way too long, and even set them up on our regulators. We did a shore dive with Cody and a boat dive with Debbie, and both experiences were top notch! Small groups and very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. They guided us to see some incredible wildlife and underwater structures, and also offered helpful tips on our diving skills! They accommodated the gear we brought and had any sort of à la carte rental you could possibly need. We'll be booking again for sure! read more

Went back for a second dive this week with our kids for discover scuba, this time off the bot with Cole and Debbie and it was even better than the first. Both were great and helpful with the kids and between dives Cole took us whale watching where we came across a pod of about one hundred dolphins if not more which is the most they said they have seen at one time. My son and I did a two-tank afternoon dive with Seasport Divers in July '23. My whole is experience with them was very positive. From the website booking, to getting in touch with office staff for questions, to the actual dive, the run a smooth operation. They were also very accommodating. When I got stuck in a 1.5hr backup due to tree trimming in the only highway between Lihue and Poipu, they offered to have us join the second tank dive and give us credit for the first. Fortunately, the traffic opened up and we were able to make it for both dives. The boat is very large with a lot of space. The afternoon dives have certified and non-certified divers but they break them up into two groups (about 5-6 per DM) so experienced divers can get the most of the trip. I really liked the lava tube swim throughs. Lots of fish schools hiding there. I highly recommend them. Finish the day by having dinner on the Beach House lawn for a great sunset read more

Boat was organized, communication was clear, expectations were well set with briefings, good guidance on how to not scare off some of the larger sea creatures, and overall solid and safe dives.
