I've been going to Crown Hill Dental for many years, and I absolutely love them! All of the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always on time--it really makes a difference. Yesterday, I went in for a toothache, and Dr. Dellisanti found the issue right away. She was even able to perform a root canal that same afternoon! What amazed me most was how fast and efficient everything was. Thanks to their modern technology (and her expertise), the entire procedure--including making the crown--took only about 1.5 hours. They also scan your teeth before and after to ensure the crown matches perfectly, which was especially important for fitting my retainer. That level of attention to detail is impressive. I also love my hygienist, Nina. She's very precise and always so friendly. My whole family goes here, and we couldn't be happier. I've been a client of this business for over 20 years. I got my teeth whitened and couldn't finish the final round due to pain, so they mentioned I could come back in the future to finish the whitening. They did not mention it had an expiration date. I went in for the whitening final round (explained situation on phone when booking) and was told it had expired after 6 months. It was never once mentioned to me this would expire. This is my third issue with Crown Hill Dental. They've lost my business and I will not return. read more

Love Love LOVE this place. My comfort and explaining what is going to be done. Dr Lee is very thorough with her communication and again, my comfort is of the utmost importance to her. Both the Dr and Hygienist communicate very well d seem to work together as a great team. Now here's something that some people may find odd or unimportant but to me it's crucial to my experience and is very likely likely to keep me from crying (since they took away the lollipops), here's the thing, when I say something funny, they laugh. I have moved a lot and have gone through many dentist offices (at least 5) and Seattle Crown Hill Dental is the best by far. So sad that Dr. Ament left but so happy for her and her new practice on the east side. That being said, one of many great things about this office is that they are great as a whole and the transition to my new dentist has been great! Everyone from front desk to the chair does a great job explaining schedule of care. Very nice hygienists and dentists. I also appreciate being informed why I need the treatments they suggest. Anna, my hygenist is amazing! She is very motivating and passionate about me taking care of teeth which I appreciate as my oral health has drastically improved since seeing her for the past 3 years. I went for what I thought was a cleaning; it ended up that they divide their initial visits in two parts: the exam, and then the cleaning. This was a huge waste of time, as they just take photographs of your mouth and make everything exceedingly uncomfortable. I got hardly any time with the dentist herself. I had to schedule my cleaning for the next day; otherwise they were booked 4 months out. The techs weren't chatty, which might be okay for some people but kept me focused on the discomfort they were causing my mouth. The space also smelled really gross-- like burning hair-- and felt really institutional, with white walls and fluorescent lights. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. read more

I went to see Dr. Bender after it being about 2 years since I had last seen a dentist. She was very friendly, explained to me everything that she was reporting to her assistant, and let me know how I could solve some of the sensitivity issues I was having. When I went to get my cleaning/polish, the tech was freaking awesome. In the midst of the Covid lockdown I cracked a crown. I called my regular dentist's office to see if they were even open. After I didn't hear back from them my wife went looking online for another provider nearby who may be able to help. Enter Seattle Crown Hill Dental. Even though I wasn't already a patient, they agreed to see me if only to assess the damage. New patient forms were available to fill in online, a welcome first for me. They arranged an appointment promptly and were nothing short of awesome to me when I came in. Luckily for me the damage done was something I could live with in the interim since a replacement wasn't in the cards anywhere during the lockdown unless deemed an emergency. They kindly ran an estimate of my out-of-pocket replacement costs based on my insurance coverage knowing I would probably end up visiting my regular dentist for the procedure. The fact that Seattle Crown Hill Dental agreed to promptly see me, not a established patient, in the middle of a pandemic lockdown when they would have been well within their rights to restrict office visits to their regular customers/patients makes them absolutely aces in my book. My dentist of record now has some serious competition for my business! As an added bonus, the offices of Seattle Crown Hill Dental are architecturally interesting, very much in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright, and very much unlike most other dentist's offices where function beats out form 99% of the time. read more

Do not go here. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. My boyfriend got some work done here. Although the work he had done was fine, the billing process is a nightmare. He made a point of paying all that was due before leaving after each and every visit. However, after one of his visits they undercharged him by a few dollars. He of course didn't know this and thought he was paid up. They didn't reach out to him about paying the balance on his account until four days AFTER a $199 late fee was added to his account. Only then did they call and send him a correct bill showing the amount due. He called them to try and sort out this issue, since he had not heard from them until the late fee had been added, but they would not budge and told him if he didn't pay the full $200+ amount it would be sent to collections. read more

Dr Dzon has a good friendly family based practice that makes you feel warm and welcome. Dentistry has changed so much over the years. Have to agree with Laina B. on this one. I'm not really someone who likes to go to the dentist, and actually I don't really like brushing my teeth. Laina convinced me to try this place, especially as we live so nearby. I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in at least 2 years, so I was worried. There was maybe one or two cavities which they took care of, but they did a great job on the cleaning. Now I'm going more regularly. Recently, I've had two crowns. The great part of it is that you can get the whole crown taken care of in one visit! They have some fancy ass machine that they use. First, they take digital images of your teeth and upload them into a computer. Then the dentist (Dr. Nguyen) uses a CAD-type program to fine-tune the fit. They have their own porcelain in the back room and it takes less than 10 minutes to sculpt a crown. The first one didn't quite fit, so the Dr. just made a few adjustments and had another crown sculpted. The whole crown process took almost 2 hours. They got me good and numbed up for the procedure. And then they gave me my own viewing goggles and I could pick a movie to watch! I got thru all of 'Top Gun,' including the infamous closing scene ("You can ride my tail any time, Maverick"). And let's not forget the classic volleyball scene. How great is that? You get to watch movies when you go to the dentist! Apparently only 5 percent or so of all dentists have this ridonculous machine. Usually they need to take a mold of your teeth and then you need to come back a week later to actually get the crown. What a hassle. This way you can git r' dun in one visit. Also, Dr. Nguyen screens for mouth cancer with some glow-in-the-dark neon shit. They also give you plenty of reminders for your appointments. Usually I get an email or two and a voice mail reminder. All in all, I think they're really professional and on the ball. Perfect for people who don't want to spend their life in a dentist waiting room. read more

I went to this office to see what invisalign could do for me since my current dental office did not offer this service. The front office staff was beyond helpful in answering all of my questions about insurance and billing. The invisalign process has been amazing so far. When I go in every month or so for a checkup the staff is beyond amazing. They all know my name and have only been in a few times.I cannot recommend this dental office enough. I can't speak about the other treatments that they offer. But if they are this good about invisalign. I would imagine everything else to be just as great. It's also very easy to get to and right on the bus line. The D line Rapid ride will take you 1 block away from the office. So it's very easy to access if you're not driving. read more

Changed dentists as my wife goes here and I didn't want to travel downtown, pay for parking etc. In Nov I had what I thought was an issue with a tooth but it calmed down, altho the push was to do a root canal. No issues with the tooth since, and no root canal. Fast forward to yesterday when i went in for a cleaning which took 3 months to schedule so I see the dentist my wife sees. Appt at 8:00, they call hygienist sick could i come in at 8:30. Sure. Arrived waiting until 8:50 in lobby, was walked back and met with an assistant who was very confused on what xrays she was going to take. 3x. Not a good sign. It is now 9:45. I let her know that my appt had already been pushed out 30 min, and I had to by 10:30. She checked on the dentist and said he would be over for his exam. Typically this is after the cleaning. No dentist, then she tells me he can't see me but the other dentist can. Getting REALLY frustrated, I said okay. Dentist spent 5 min in my mouth, i had a few questions and she told me she was leaving the practice and to follow-up with Dr Nyguyen. Okay now waiting for the hygienist escorted to the complete otherside of the office. What???Told to sit in the lobby. Now I'm getting pissed, walked to the front desk, said this hasn't gone well, I'm going to leave. One receptionist said she was sorry, the other said nothing. I have not recvd a call from the office, nothing, nada. AWFUL experience. Now I will have to work the billing situation as well. WASTE OF MY TIME. read more

I recognize great care and the true interest in making an individual such as myself feel important. I am a new patient at Pacific Dental Care, but I am an extremely satisfied patient at that!! I was seen by Dr. A. Moazami for an infection in #30-(tooth #). The concern and steps taken by Dr. Moazami to diagnose and care for my issue were systematic and timely and very professional. Dr. Moazami explained her findings thoroughly to me and then she laid out a plan of action for treatment once the initial Non-invasive treatment failed to relieve the infection. The next level required the referral to an endodontic professional. The fact that Dr. Moazami, took a personal interest to make the arrangements personally was very impressive. I have never experienced this level of care from my dentist before!! The only thing that separates one business from another these days is the custom service they provide! I consider this place okay. I really, really like the two hygienists I've worked with. I really, really like Dr. Nguyen. He's just the right level of friendly and engaged; he has provided substantive information, education, and options. On the other hand, I've found the front-desk people to be downright rude (not all of them, but my rude-to-nice experience ratio is not good) and their financial policies to be silly (I owed $17 for prescription toothpaste for less than 60 days, I'd paid hundreds of dollars for treatment in the past year with 3 members of my household being patients, and they canceled my appointment over the $17 - yes, I owed the money and I should have paid it, but I would have when I came in for my appointment, like I do for every other care provider in my life, and they didn't even warn me - it just seemed silly). Don't call expecting to be able to schedule a cleaning and check up within three months. Finally, I find Dr. Sharp to be a bit dismissive and condescending, which is a pet peeve. I also have a hard time trusting her for reasons that are hard to put my finger on. I guess it's more of a gut feel than anything. Members of my extended family really like it there. I don't know if they have worked with Dr. Sharp or only Dr. Nguyen. Members in my immediate family share my opinions - after our experiences with Dr. Sharp, we try to only see Dr. Nguyen. read more

My previous dentist left me with a lot of failing work - partially due to poor technique and perhaps some antiquated technology and materials used - and therefore I had a lot of recovery needed here. I found the booking process to be quite easy, though as a first-time patient, I didn't expect to be seen on demand by a busy clinic. Once you are on a plan, you can usually get appointments or drop-ins to check an issue pretty easily. I have been working with Dr. Banani, and in addition to having a cool sounding name, I found him to be extremely skilled and communicative as to my options for work. I knew I needed a lot. They worked with me to schedule the most critical parts first and defer some procedures to the next year to help make it as affordable as possible. They also have killer technology for imaging, modeling and fabricating beautiful crowns on-site, so you can get fit THAT DAY if needed. I've been a few times now and the staff always knows my name and gets me going right on time, the support DA's are super nice and my new smile is much better feeling and looking than it was before. read more

After asking around about other people's experience with their dentists and how scheduling is handled, I am even more upset about how i was treated by this office. They totally botched my appointment, even after I had to take the initiative to phone them since we were having a half-baked text exchange. Clearly, people in their front desk were not communicating. So i ended up rearranging my entire day to keep my original appointment, only to find out when i got there bright and early they cancelled my appointment. No confirming the cancellation with me. Just cancelled it. The worst part is that they didn't even try at all to make an accommodation of any sort. In my opinion, don't go to this place unless you're willing to micromanage their front desk. And even then they might mess it up. read more

I have been going to Pacific Dental Care since 2001. I lived in Ballard at the time, and just picked a place near me. Since then I've moved around the city, moved out of the country and returned, and have since bought a house in West Seattle. I still go to the Ballard office. Everything all the other posters have said is true. It's a very professional, kind, quick but thorough kind of place. I also did the crown thing where you can watch a movie (do not watch "The Talented Mr. Ripley" while having someone go around your teeth with a drill, watch a fun or calming moving instead). I've had compliments from other dentists and orthodontists on the crown and how great it looks and was done. Recently at my appointment the hygienest popped off my lower permanent retainer during my cleaning. This usually costs $50-75 to fix. They took me right away over to the orthodontia side and patched it back in and it's been very strong. No cost to me, either. I'm very happy with Pacific Dental Care and plan on being a patient as long as the commute doesn't get to me. read more

All I can say is it sure seems like insurance fraud. These guys are crooks. Always trying to up sell you. A couple years ago they convinced me to do a deep cleaning and then 4 cleanings a year. My insurance covers two a year, but because I switched plans I didn't figure out the scam until I got a bill for $175 cleaning that insurance didn't cover. Same amount of time spent as the normal $95 cleaning. Actually less work because I'm doing 4 cleanings a year. I will be switching Dentist, reporting them to the insurance agency and the the consumer protection agency. read more

I ended up with Dr. Nguyen after he took over the old practice in the same office. Although I enjoyed his professional manner, I feel let down by his actual dental work. I had a bridge put in about a year and a half ago, and it never felt right. In fact, when I first left his office it was so badly adjusted that I felt excruciating pain and had to go see another dentist (it was a Friday when PDC is closed). After that I returned to the office for at least 6-7 more adjustments (no charge), and the last time it was done by an assistant I had never seen before - Dr. Nguyen never checked on the work. But I still felt discomfort from the bridge. Finally, I went to a new dentist in Wallingford. She immediately diagnosed an abscess underneath the bridge that Dr. Nguyen had completely missed, chosing to do slight adjustments which did nothing to fix the more serious, underlying problem. A root canal was needed, and I haven't had a moment of discomfort since. When I called PDS to tell them that I was leaving and why, they didn't seem to be interested in what had happened. It seems to be an okay practice for routine work, but I'm not impressed with their diligence in dealing with a patient with a non-routine problem. I'm much happier with my new dentist, who seems to much more carefull and conscientious. read more

I really waiver about how I feel about this facility. There are pros and there are cons, and some of what I view as a con might be a pro for others. I should preface this by saying I am not the easiest person to work on;I have a small mouth, weak teeth, and a super bad gag reflex. So here are the Pros: 1) Some of the dental hygienists are great, and if you get one that you like you can request them in the future 2) I can t say that I have had better experiences at other dentists, and my visits are improving. 3) They are very thorough with their work, complete with a dental block so that the area being worked on stays dry and the filling last longer. In fact I have never been someplace else with that is more thorough. 4) I do believe that Dr. Sharp truly cares about her patients and she even follows up a day later to make sure the bite doesn t need to be adjusted. Also, even if it s awkward to bring up, if you have an issue with any part of the the treatment process Dr. Sharp will deal with it and make changes for the next visit. 5) It s easy to get an appointment and it s super close to where I live. 6) They have been very careful to numb me up really well and with the exception of one time have kept me numb. Cons: 1) Not all of the dental hygienists are good. I have had a total of four me now. One of them in particular was terrible. However, I have requested not to be treated by her any longer so it s not an ongoing issue. One was okay, not great, not bad, and the other two were wonderful. 2)The front desk people can be a real pain in the butt to deal with. An example would be a few visits ago I made a treatment plan and went over the cost of each treatment with someone at the front desk. We went over how much it would cost if my insurance covered part of it and how much it would cost if i had to pay all of it out of pocket. I even had to sign something saying that the treatment plan had been gone over with me and I got a print out of it. I then got a call a few weeks later from the clinic saying that my insurance was maxed out and was asked if I wanted to go ahead and pay for the treatment out of pocket. It was no surprise because I had a root canal earlier that year so I suspected that I was maxed out. I said that I wanted to go ahead and pay out of pocket for the treatment and would be at my next appointment. After this I got an email and another call confirming my appointment again. It was a little over kill if you ask me. Then when I went in for my appointment one of the women who worked at the front desk said she needed to speak with me so I went over. She then informed me that my insurance would not be covering the procedure and I told her that I already knew and thanked her. She then got out the treatment plan and showed me how much I would owe. It was awkward and made the whole visit seem a lot less friendly taking the focus of the visit away from the patient and their care. I am capable of forming both long term and short term memories and do not need to to go over a treatment plan that I have printed out at home three times for one visit. 4) Maybe I am used to smaller dental offices, but sometimes this place seem really impersonal. I would recommend this place over several other places I have been and the truth is I haven t been any place better. If yelp let you give half stars I would say a 3.5 star rating would be more accurate. read more
