If I ever decided to move back to Seattle again, I would most definitely make Dr Dinges my primary doctor again.

In 2002 I found a private doctor (see my review on Rob Killian for that disaster) Flash forward to 2022 - I was forced to go back to the Madison, the medical assistants are RUDE,INDIGNANT and INCOMPETENT and have something of a God complex, not to mention when giving shots they don't know what they're doing (hit the same nerve TWICE and now have a permanently damaged right hand). The doctors are incompetent, "I don't know" seems to be their mantra, instead of giving me a referral, they kept sending me home. They have zero competence when it comes to recording patients information, I have found several outright lies in my records. If you are having problems with your meds, good luck getting them changed, they will fight you tooth and nail on that. "I don't feel comfortable with that". It's not about "them", it's about YOU! I will say this, everyone I knew and people I've seen out and about that went to the Madison, THEY ARE NO LONGER WITH US, while those who did not are still here. Replace the "C" in clinic with a "K" and you'll get a more accurate description of the care you'll receive. SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!

It's a shocking fact about me that, unlike most people, I am not a huge fan of medical procedures…read more I know! Take a moment to absorb that information. But sometimes I find myself having to get poked or prodded, for instance, this trip to LabCorp for blood work. And while it's not something I want to put on my calendar every day, I have to say this experience was about 1,000x better than it might have been, so woohoo for that. First, I love that you can just make an appointment online -- super, super easy. I actually got on the computer at 10 and made an appointment for 1 p.m. same day. Second, if you're in West Seattle (or close by) it's really easy to get to. There's parking on the street and inside, and it's a small place in a quiet neighborhood, so much less hassle than trekking to First Hill if you don't have to. Third, I walked right in and was next; no waiting. In fact, I learned when I got there that I didn't even need an appointment -- apparently it's not a long-lines-of-people kind of thing to get blood drawn, so that was good to know just in case. (I am a nervous type and like making appointments.) The surroundings were honestly just so-so; there's a main lobby that's nice, but I was in the lab lobby, which feels more like a waiting nook at an old hospital, but it's fine. The room where the blood was drawn was a little small, and another guy came in to have his done while we were wrapping up my procedure, and that was just a little weird -- I am by far not the worst person about having to give blood, but I don't particularly want to watch someone else's pool up into a vial or bag, either. But the best part was Kristy who checked me in and drew my blood. She was funny, chatty, supportive ("You can grab my arm if you need to,") and kept me laughing as we talked about terrible self-published ebooks. Most importantly, she got that needle in so easily I honestly barely even felt it -- I actually had to check to see if she'd gotten started. And it was over quickly. So high-fives for this office all around!

I also got extremely light headed after they 3rd poke (don't know if it was the heat or my reaction to getting a needle inserted multiple times with no result). They sent me to Lapcorp, and the lady was done drawing my blood in less than 1 minute. I went early in the morning and there was no wait.. thank you Lapcorp!
