The traffic cop that blew his whistle in my face.

Wish I could give negative stars but does this review even matter? Wish I could file a formal complaint but if cops get away with being fired for something as serious as murder, why would a formal complaint matter? Yesterday, traffic cops everywhere. Not sure what the event was but we were walking from our local residence to dinner and got caught up in it all. Traffic cop blew his whistle right in my ear, he also made a point to get right in my way so I would have to duck around him while he was doing so. His body still came into contact with mine. Does that whistle make you feel powerful, sir? If so, congratulations. You've really exceeded many people's expectations, I'm sure!

The other day I watched as my neighbors 3 darling little African/American kids (about 5 yrs old) playing in their front yard all alone. I sat outside, smoking my cigarette and watched the kids venturing further and further out into the street. One of the boys started throwing rocks and his aim quickly became focused on the parked cars near by. I asked him to stop throwing rocks and be good or otherwise I'd have to come over and talk to his mommy and daddy about what he's doing out there. It's too dangerous, I said. He looked at me, shocked at hearing a disembodied voice out of no where suddenly, and scampered back into his house. I thought everything was good so went back inside myself and got the Doggos ready for their walks. About 45min later, I come walking down my street and see 2 Seattle Police SUV's and one policeman had the little boy who'd been throwing rocks, bouncing around on his shoulders and the female policewoman walked along side them making the little boy laugh. I was really worried when I saw him in their custody, but relived that Someone had him in their care and that he was safe!! There was No sign of Either parent Anywhere on the property!! Somehow the police found their fathers phone number and called him only to find out that he was at work and wouldn't be able to leave to come take care of his kids. They still couldn't contact the mom yet and nobody knew where she was. They finally talked the dad into coming, there was really no choice. While they waited, the policemen spent time with the kids, talking to them, playing with them, and made the situation as far from frightening as possible! In fact, the kids had SOOO much fun with the Police and playing in the Police cars, that they didn't realize the seriousness of the situation and thought it was a game. Those two police officers took a SCARY situation and made those kids feel safe and that they had just made new life long friends!!! I was just sooo tickled to see how they handled themselves I was blown away!! Finally, the dad got a ride back to his house and the Police and CPS talked with him, warning him of the Seriousness of child neglect!! The kids hadn't eaten anything since that morning and it was 6pm. The neighbors are the ones who called 911, because they were worried about the safety of those precious little kids!!! They had heard that the children hadn't eaten all day so grabbed some chips, dip and bananas for their growling tummies. The Mother finally came home. She was in shock and just terrified that she was going to be arrested and that she'd lose her children. She was given another chance to improve her parenting methods and told that if it ever happens again that CPS will have to become involved. I can't Believe she left 3 little 5 year olds at home for hours all Alone!! Good Grief!!! They could easily have been hit by a car!!! I was a worrisome situation for sure, but I've never seen 2 police officers more dedicated to the welfare and wellbeing of those wittle babies!!! It was truly AMAZING to watch!!! I wish I'd Videotaped some of it, but only took a picture of their vehicles with their id numbers so I could share with the world that Not All Police are Terrifying. You can not judge a while with only a few. Thank You Seattle Police for serving and protecting the people as you are meant to do in the positions you have!! I am beyond Impressed!! It was too Touching and it filled me with the hope of a brighter future!!!

Revenue-Raising program in Chinatown. Burning a nice hole in YOUR pocket.

Got a ticket in front of school zone... but the school is under construction, not even open. Fuckin' forced donation program. Late to work, and lost money. Next time those stupid firefighters call me up for donations I'll tell them the SPD forced me to donate all of it already. So fuck off. Funny how my property taxes are over 3k annually.. but I don't get shit to show for it, except more of these revenue raising programs of giving out unjust tickets.

I was stopped on 130th on aroura today (2/1) because of a man making threats and trying to come to me (information private, not going to say anything) while I was trying to go to work, and every one of the police offers were there to make sure that I was safe. This isn't the first time Seattle PD has came to save my day, and I am writing this review because I wanted to give thanks to the police officer that helped me. I didn't have time to grab names, but he was older, white bald and had a beard. Thank you.

The person who took our call was extremely nice and very helpful. She said there will be an officer coming over to come get a statement in person from me the owner. I'm thinking this is gonna be at least a couple hour wait. I was hoping it would be fast so I can get down to Burien where a credit card that was in the truck was attempted to get 120.00 in gas but got declined for incorrect pin! Next thing you know a cop rolls up!!! I'm thinking it's only been 15 mins!!! Please be him? You know you hear about all the defunding of police and all this other stuff about cops. IM TELLING YOU I ONLY WAITED 15 MINS! THE OFFICER WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT I NEED TO DO AND NOT DO, AND LET ME KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE. He then wrote my case number on a card and told me where to reach out for questions. COULDNT OF GONE BETTER! I wish I looked at this outstanding officers name. I'll try to find it using my case # and I'll update!! Bottom line, I've been hearing all these horrible things about not so much our police but police around the US. So I was kinda expecting a little of what I've been hearing. NOT THIS OFFICER! AND NOT SEATTLE POLICE! Every word communicated was positive and efficient both on the phone and in person. THIS OFFICER WAS OUTSTANDING!! That was a huge relief to know SEATTLE is putting officers like this under their light bars! These people are HEROS! Just think of what they go through each and every day. These people are SEATTLES FINEST AND TRUE HEROS! Thank you for your service and professionalism! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

I present this for your own personal edification. You can't run from or fight these guys. The good news is, they aren't the type to be afraid and shoot up an apartment complex over it. Just don't be the criminal. I had several officers respond to an issue with a ln extreme weirdo not wanting to leave a bar this am. The officers who showed were so up to the task that,I felt bad taking them away from real police work, yet they were there INSTANTLY. We NEED good police. These KPD folks are fantastic. SUPPORT THEM. Even if you'd "rather" police yourself, like I do, not everybody else does that. And I'm not going to prison because somebody that I WANT to slap, if the local PD can handle it. Don't say this often, but thanks guys. My favorite bartender got home safe. I wish,I had taken his name, but the last officer that,I spoke to assured me that they wouldn't leave until she was driving away. THANK YOU. THAT is Community Policing. I have been going through a break up for the last couple of months, my ex-boyfriend and his crazy mother stole and through everything I own in the garbage. Literally everything from family, heirloom jewelry to every pair of shoes to all of my furniture. Ext. But to top it off, they also were holding my cat hostage essentially. I owned my cat well over a year before he and I started dating. And chipped and registered under my name. I was trying to let everything go with them throwing my belongings away as long as I could get my cat back, but they were proceeding to say that my cat was "missing" or dead. I called several times to file a police report about my stolen cat and I was told that it was a civil matter and had to go through the courts. The fact of the matter is my cat is my personal belongings and that is a theft! Finally, one of the officers reached out to my ex-boyfriend and his mother and told them that they needed to give the cat to the officer to be reunited with me. Once again, they decided to play games and refused to give my cat to the officer. When I asked the officer so basically I just have nothing I can do until they decide to stop being childish and give me my animal back. And he said. so I took it upon myself to take steps to ensure that I would get my cat back. I ended up having to meet with a mutual acquaintance who set me up to be ambushed by my exes, mom. I have bruises. This woman came out and verbally and physically attacked me. The silver lining is that I got my cat back. ZERO THANKS TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT AND SERVE! I understand that may seem like silly reason to get the police involved. But I've lost everything already. My cat is my kid. A fine example of our tax dollars being wasted. And they wonder why people don't trust or respect the police. Here is a prime example.
