There is no law against roosters, a creature known for aggressive behavior and making excessive noise. For three years I have been asking the city to do something. Every night I am woken up, sometimes as early as 2:30 am. When I say every night, I mean every night, including Christmas. After visiting the code complaint office several times and opening two seperate cases, finally some action was taken. Unfortunately, it took several months and speaking in front of the city council until there was any results. Still, I am woken up in the middle of every night. The animal hoarding situation next door went from a ridiculous 30+ birds to the code compliant 4, one still being a rooster. The city says since the neighbors are now code complaint they are done. Now they don't even return my emails. The city of Seatac seems to strongly oppose any change, even something as common sense as simple legislation against roosters. Every other city and town in the tri-county area has a law in effect but Seatac. Do yourself a favor and don't move here. The city is more concerned with creating watch lists for Islamic residents than addressing any of your concerns. At one time my mail was stolen and I had to wait 8 hours for a cop who basically said I should have had a locking mailbox. I am currently saving up to move out of this noisy disappointment of a neighborhood.

Well, I guess I was right. It appears that the majority of the rooms up there are designated to the individual airlines for business/administration and there is also a conference room up there for special meetings. Anyway, I had to go to U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) for my interview for the Global Entry program. If you don't know what Global Entry is a program that allows people who are pre-approved and deemed low-risk travelers to receive expedited clearance upon arrival into the United States. It comes with TSA Pre-check so that's an added bonus​ and allows entry through the land borders into the U.S. when entering from Canada and Mexico. It also allows expedited entry when flying back into the U.S. from international destinations. You can read about it on the CBP website and all the other programs that are available through CBP if you're interested​ (I know...I sound like a salesperson but I'm not affiliated with CBP​ or any agency like that). Anyway, I was super lucky to find an appointment at SeaTac as it appears they were booked out well into the end of March but it looks like someone​ canceled​ their appointment on the February day I went so I quickly scheduled the appointment online after getting a ​notification that my application was approved. If you can't get an appointment at SeaTac, there is another office in western Washington that might have appointments so make sure you check both before scheduling your appointment. I will admit I was a little nervous about my appointment. Although I have nothing to hide, I mean... come on....you're dealing with the people who protect the borders of the United States. They're official, you know? I arrived early for my appointment since if you're too late you end up having to reschedule and it's tough enough to get an appointment as it is. Like several others have said, you may anticipate a long visit but from the time my name was called until my fingerprints were taken it was about 5-8 minutes. I didn't have to show any of the supporting documentation I brought but your experience might not be the same. Anyway, then the sigh of relief came when the CBP agent explained when I'd receive my Global Entry card in the mail. Very pleasant experience overall. Nothing to worry about. Just read everything on your application and the FAQ's if you have questions before you go and bring documents to support what you entered on your application. Also, now I know what's on the second floor.

8/29/2026- Spent my…read moremorning filling out the Global Entry application. Fairly easy to do the forms, and was almost going to also add the Canada entry ( you know I love Canada).. It's perfect timing as the TSA pre-check will be expiring next March. Hopefully, this will give more motivation to travel Okinawa and re-visit Japan. Hopeful the application will be approved and when I am in Seattle early October, I can set up the interview appointment.

Here's my sign: You must remove your shoes, belt and jacket because you might be hiding something. Remove your iPad or laptop and place it in a bin or you will be held up later while and agent searches it. Remove your bottles of lotion or shampoo and place them in a bin. If you don't, you will wait while an agent opens your bulging suitcase and lays eyes in your bottles. Don't forget to clear out your drink bottles! I hate being stopped for this reason. TSA: give us a sign.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!…read more So they flip flopped the TSA Pre-check / CLEAR lines again. Then I'm actually waiting in a line to go through security. Then every pilot is cutting line which is BULLS$$T cause they should have alternative passage way. Now this is where IT hits the fan! Folks I'm wearing sweatpants & shirt. I go through x-ray and they say we need to frisk you down the system showed something in groin area.. I know I'm gifted but not for x-ray to have an issue.. So the gentleman who's now embarrassed shares the good news of how he needs to violate me. I felt like Jody Foster in "THE ACCUSED", I'm completely man handled out in the open. Needless to say I passed with flying colors and now he's scared for life of rubbing between my legs & butt. He should have done the moonwalk after the groping since I came close to being a Michael Jackson victim... Get your act together TSA !

The police officers were very uptight though. I was only there doing paperwork with the city clerk. They walked in frowning and I smiled and winked at them and said "here comes trouble" and one of them snorted at me. Lol get your panties out of a bunch boys and have a sense of humor. If police officers wonder why the general public doesn't like them, these guys would be the perfect example. If you're a peace officer, learn to have a little fun and live a little. Not everyone is a criminal or bad guy. I hope the vote is against them and they get rid of these guys. I would not feel safe calling you for help.

The only good things are the black guy who brings the dogs treats and friendly dogs!…read more I take my dog to Burien off leash dog park and it's pretty frustrating, as a disabled person, to see the girl, who works for the city, in dreads park in the only disability parking spot to pick up the garbage. Then instead of moving her truck to clear the other 3 cans she stays parked in the disabled spot and WALKS across the park slowly collecting garbage. No consideration what so ever!! Today is fairly infuriating! As we sit at the park, I see and hear workers working on the park, but you have the dread girl and her 3 coworkers chit chatting at their rigs doing no real work! Thanks to the people who actually put in the work to keep this park pleasant and safe!

I go here a couple times a month mostly to print some things off (ya girl really needs to invest in a printer...) and I've checked out some books once or twice. MOST of the librarians I've dealt with have been kind. There was one older lady who was not my cup of tea, but whatever. I wouldn't recommend coming here to work or study at all, though. This is an extreme hotspot for the local kids because of the free internet, books, etc. There's kids of all ages here, unsupervised, a lot. It's very common for them to be yelling and running around inside and outside of the library. The selection for books here is much smaller than the Kent and Covington library as well, but it does the job.
