Dr Flower is wonderful. She knows what she is doing and I trust her. cool fact: She used to be an emergency room doctor. Dr Flower is super smart and she also cares about patients as people and takes people seriously and personally to get to the correct diagnosis and treatment. Although the care is very high quality, the cost is still much less than most urgent care clinic and the wait much shorter. Everyone in the office is pleasant and personable. read more

Yelp says they open at 8:30. Their website doesn't post hours but the chatbot insisted that they opened at 8am. The office doors say 9am. When I finally walked in at 9am, I was told the Dr. wouldn't be in until after 9:30 because traffic was bad. Poor business practice and total lack of empathy from the staff have turned me off. I was lied to in this medical office - I was told I would be able to have a referral for an ankle injury I had x-rays taken at this facility and was diagnosed. There is nothing more they can do but won't refer me to physical therapy without coming in again just to "see me", spending my copay, wasting gas and time, instead of them just sticking to their word and faxing it over to the PT. On top of this Diana at reception was hostile, condescending, and at the very least one of the rudest receptionists i've ever spoken to. She was unhelpful in explaining why i needed to come back in, interrupted me frequently, would not let me finish a question, told me "i knew this would turn into an argument with you" after i asked why would i have to come back in when there is nothing your facility can do to aid me in my injury. Absolutely sickening 2 separate conversations and the same poor attitude, it actually only got worse. Shame on you Diana, I am a patient and deserve to be spoken to respectfully and able to ask the necessary questions to understand what is going on with my health. read more

Our family has received medical services several times this year (as well as in the past) from Sebastopol Urgent Care. We have chosen S.U.C. because Dr. Flower and her staff are kind and compassionate and knowledgeable. They spend as much time as is necessary to address their patients' needs and concerns. I have never felt rushed to get in and out. They will refer you to a specialist if appropriate. I received one referral from them and the physician was and is fantastic. If you are a Medicare patient (not Medicare Advantage, which is just private insurance for Medicare eligible patients), this is the place to go for urgent care issues if you live in the West County, even if you regularly are treated at Sutter or Kaiser. Your wait to see a healthcare provider will likely be far less than at Sutter and Kaiser, and you will be supporting an independent, local business that is a true asset to our community. read more

I'm grateful that the facility was open on Christmas Eve when I was vacationing in California, but I did not receive the best medical advice. I was given a weak antibiotic for a UTI and told to stop taking it as soon as I felt better- she told me that I did not need to finish the course of antibiotics which is the opposite of what you expect to hear from a doctor. The weak antibiotic did nothing for the UTI, so the last few days of my vacation were miserable. I should have been given Macrobid and told to finish the course, of course. read more

I went here about a year ago after calling around and asking, specifically if this office accepted my insurance. They said as long as it was a PPO, they were contracted with Cigna. About a year later, i got a bill. They are now stating that the $390 was part of my deductible. News- it was a zero deductible policy. They have the best care in town with wonderful caring doctors and staff. Dr. Flower is great. The wait is never long, compared to your primary care physician where the wait for an appointment can be weeks or the ER where you might wait all afternoon. This urgent care is stellar! They answered the phone right away and gave great info about expected wait time, then did a Covid test to make sure it was safe for me to go inside. The Dr. was thorough, listened to my long story about my symptoms and length of my RSV or whatever I have going on, and together with me developed a plan of action. Incredible, personal support. Dr Flower is fantastic and helped me out when i had a terrible infection. These people are SO nice, the office is really clean, and best of all it's so personal. They gave me a lot of time and attention, really a level of care i haven't experienced anywhere let alone an urgent care scenario. Also, quite affordable. My out of pocket for my infection emergency visit was less than I spend on a shopping trip at safeway. This is not a doc-in-a-box chain store operation. Also it is locally and woman owned and operated. So good that i signed up for the adjacent concierge service that Doc Flowers offers. Also, they do the best trigger point injections ever. read more

Horrible receptionist yelled "$125 isn't bad!" at me as I left the building. Just moments earlier, she proclaimed that the reason they don't take ANY insurance is because they are "a private business and, you know, there's just so much red-tape already involved in even getting our business going." Included in the oh-so-cheap bill? An office visit. No serious examination, no serious support: literally nothing but a prescription. I could have gotten a prescription online through my doctor! In dealing with patients, this behavior is atrocious. In dealing with customers, this behavior was atrocious. Until she yelled that after me, I had been perfectly polite - though I certainly expressed surprise at the lack of care provided, the high cost for an "urgent care" clinic, and the increasingly rude behavior of the woman. I pride myself on being a jovial, even-keeled individual, I like being nice to people. But the sheer level of entitlement and rudeness in her behavior has really left me agog. So... BEWARE: they are private now. If you ask them to bill insurance, you may get charged far more if your insurance decides not to accept the out of network bill. And, if you don't agree to their $125 scam, you'll get condescended to. No matter that I was a fellow human being in a lot of pain. No matter that, at the very least, I could have been treated to the courtesy of a sincere apology, and a little bit of kindness. Instead, I was treated like dirt. Chances are, you will be too. read more

After showing up at an urgent care in Windsor to find it closed and then driving to an urgent care on Sebastopol Road only to be told they were no longer taking walk-in patients, I drove into Sebastopol to their urgent care. There was no one in line so Dr. Flowers and her staff were able to see me immediately, and within an hour they had me set up and back on the road to good health. I have needed their services twice now and I am very grateful they were there for me. read more

I came here due to a case of vertigo that was lingering, and my wife came here to get stitches in her finger. The wait was not bad. The receptionist was lovely and patient (I saw her graciously interacting with a rude client). They let me sit outside instead of waiting room because I wanted fresh air, offered me water, etc. Dr. Flower is kind and helpful--skips her lunch sometimes to treat patients. Great conversationalist. Good experience all around, and we appreciate the service they provide to our community. Thank goodness we don't have to drive all of the way to Santa Rosa for every little medical issue that needs more timely attention than a doctor's appointment but isn't serious enough for the ER. read more

We arrived with my father in law, who had a really bad cut and bleeding heavily, to only have literally a door shut in our face and being told "sorry we are closed". This was still 20min before (!!) their closing time. It's unacceptable, and alarming, that in our community a medical office can be so nonchalant, uncompassionate, and rude. We are all still shaken from a very scary experience trying to get help fast for someone in dire need. Encountering this type of treatment at an urgent care is beyond comprehension, in a place where their mission should be to help people. But I guess it's not the case at this office. Stay away. Took my 6 month old baby in because he is wheezing and has a cough and stuffy nose. I am visiting from out of town and my dr office advised me to take him to get listened to to make sure it is nothing serious. This place claimed that the providers were asking them to turn people away, when in all reality they didn't want to stay a few extra minutes to make sure a 6 month old baby is ok. I use to live local and never had issues with them until now when they turn my baby away. I will never go back there and never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I received absolutely wonderful care at Sebastopol Urgent Care. They were personal, welcoming, and Dr. Flower was remarkably knowledgeable. She sutured a large head wound that was bleeding profusely and I have no scar, even though it took many stitches. The staff was very helpful and the office is a breath of fresh air. I tried seeing the Sonoma Specialty Urgent Care on a separate issue, but they were never staffed or open during their advertised office times. This happened also to friends of mine who found great care at Sebastopol Urgent Care. I arrived late in the day and Sebastopol Urgent Care staff stayed way past their closing time to treat me. I will never come to Sebastopol Urgent Care again. Dr. Flower did not clean my wound properly which led to a full blown infection, multiple ER visits, and round the clock medical care. This place might be fine if you have a cold but I would avoid it if you need anything beyond that. read more

You feel like you've been transported back in time and are visiting a healthcare provider that actually cares about you as a human being. I felt bad coming in at the end of their day, but everyone seemed more concerned with making sure I understood I would be cared for. Dr. Flowers came in and not only addressed my immediate issue but took extra time to assist with a long-term solution to an ongoing health issue. Dr. Flower is lax, unprofessional, and rude. My 92 year-old mother developed a very sudden and severe allergic reaction so I took her to this Urgent Care. We spent about an hour filling out their forms which included a list of the two medications my mother was taking (let's call them Med A and Med B), I gave them my own list detailing everything about my mother's healthcare (including her two medications), and then spoke at length with the EMT/nurse who did a lot of intake and went over my mother's meds again. When Dr. Flower arrived, within less than two minutes of seeing my mother (from 10 feet away, she never truly examined her), she said, "Stop taking Med A and I'm going to write a prescription for Med B." (Again, my mother was only on two meds -- how did this doctor not look at the list of meds before deciding what new med to prescribe??!) I couldn't help myself so I said "Excuse me but I'm finding this a bit incredible. I painstakingly went over my mom's meds in your forms and with your nurse so I should think that you'd see that my mom is already taking Med B." Flower instantly got defensive and said, "I rarely get mad at patients or their relatives, but you're being rude and there's no need to talk like that. I've seen 21 patients today and I'm tired." She never offered an apology for not doing what she's supposed to do, i.e., look at my mother's current meds and history BEFORE deciding how to treat her. How is any patient supposed to have confidence in a doctor who makes such careless medical decisions AND can't even recognize why patients/their advocates would get upset about that?? At the end, I told her I was sorry if my tone offended her, but I wasn't going to apologize for the content of my criticism, that she should've checked my mother's medication history before prescribing something that my mother was already taking. Flower did not take the opportunity to apologize for her blunder. I recently saw an article in which Flower (you may have noticed by now that I have a hard time referring to her as "Dr.") praises her own efforts as bringing back good old-fashioned healthcare to Sebastopol. That's just as insulting as her shoddy exam of my mother. Her misnamed "Access" healthcare practice is a concierge practice, charging $1500 per year for said "access," proving that her practice really only offers "access" to the wealthy. It's a shame that the only urgent care facility in Sebastopol has to be run by someone who wants to fill in the down time of her wealthy-people-only practice. read more

I felt so fortunate to find the Urgent Care center in Sebastopol. It had good reviews, was close by. I was in terrible pain, didn't want to face a hospital ER, So they gave them a call and they said "come on in".. I totally understand that they are overwhelmed due to being a newly opened care center... And being a walk- in client that I would have to wait. I was fortunate enough to got Doctor Flower... she amazingly enough has a background in pain control and she very adeptly treated me and relieved the high level of pain I was having ...wrote me a pain med script that was awaiting me upon my arrival at CVS. In talking with her I was also relieved to find out she was aware of an ongoing neuro toxicity issue I had, I didn't feel like I was just being placated as I had been by other doctor's who had no working knowledge of what I have been dealing with on a daily basis for years. She ordered up a series of X-ray images which I had done in another facility and returned to her to review. Again, she was kind and took the time to show me the X-rays and explained what I was seeing therein. I find her to be very pleasant and kind and seemingly intelligent, which is so very important to me, as I need to feel I can relate to a doctor and they to me, that I'm listened to. As one grows older, being validated is very important. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall my experience was positive and I'd readily recommend the Sebastopol Urgent Care Center. I was pharmaceutically abandoned by this practice. My mail order pharmacy notified me that my bood pressure medication was no longer available to me unless my doctor sent in some required paperwork. I called the office and requested this be done. The doctor told me they would send the required paperwork. For over a month I repeatedly checked with the office and asked that the paperwork be completed. It never happened. On two of the calls I asked that the doctor call me. She never did. I called again and was very fearful as my blood pressure was out of control and was angry with the staff person as I was in fear for my life. I was ejected from the practice for my hostile behavior. I called again and after eight weeks with no prescription the required paperwork was finally sent and my presription was finally ordered as a parting gesture. By the way, I am eighty years old. read more

I first want to address the Kaiser person. Kaiser never covers outside of Kaiser if there is a Kaiser nearby and EVERYONE knows that. Your Kaiser card is your healthcare card. The front office is amazing and so pleasant. After being misdiagnosed or not diagnosed for the past 2 years Dr. Flower knew it immediately and treated me and for the firs time in a very long time I was free of symptoms. read more

I presented with fever and severe back pain. The staff person answering the door explained they would have to take a Covid test (even though I've taken 3 at home tests - 3 consecutive days all negative). I understand that, but not sure why they couldn't bill my insurance. I would have to pay $60 up front. Not sure if that is the normal protocol for other urgent care facilities - that being said, I was OK with it. This is what I was NOT OK WITH: the staff person apologetically warned me it would be a 90 minute wait. I said, "No problem, can I wait in my car?" (which was parked near the front door. She said no. They might lose me! She expected me to sit in the shade (it's presently 60 degrees out in the sun - and not counting the wind) on a metal bench in front of the building for an hour and half! Too many other options in this county - I called Providence Urgent Care in Santa Rosa and got an appointment in a few hours - where I can wait comfortably in my own home. read more
