But at 2 am, staff required everyone - without warning - to walk past the train, go outside, and then proceed down a long maze of ramps. We then boarded a bus and waited, until we were ultimately instructed to get off the bus, walk back up the ramps and around to the train that in fact was working and had just pulled away. We did not discern an apology or explanation, despite the fact that a family member already had difficulty walking. Hopefully just a late-night glitch, but you may want to be prepared during renovations.

MCO has been my home airport for well over two decades. It is a major hub airport that recently…read moreexpanded when they opened a third terminal that would primarily house their international flights, the Brightline station, and, I believe, JetBlue's main terminal. So, while it is a sizeable airport, it is not OVERLY BIG and not super confusing like some other larger airport hubs. I personally have never had any issues with this MCO. Sure, it does get busy; the check-in lines do get long, the TSA lines (pre-check, clear, and regular) can also be a long mess, but once you get past it all, it is usually a breeze moving through MOST of MCO. The infamous carpet - which is hideous by the way - is always a marker for the start and conclusion of a trip when passing through MCO. They have a decently sized food court, various shops, lounge areas, and seating throughout the airport. Pricing is on par with ALL AIRPORT pricing: so, think, OVERPRICED. However, if you're okay with spending a little extra on food and drinks, then you'll be good to go. The staff is usually very kind and helpful when needed. Sure, some can be a bit testy, but working in an airport cannot be a cakewalk, so I give a lot of grace to the workers. It is usually pretty clean throughout the airport, though the women's restroom(s) can get a little bit alarming once you get past TSA. I do find the bathrooms by baggage claim FAR CLEANER than the bathrooms near the gates. Overall, it's a decent airport. It is by no means an architectural feat. There are some beautifully designed airports, but MCO is just not one of them. Parking is also not the greatest here, but I NEVER park at the airport. Beyond that, I can't really complain too much. As an Orlando resident, this is my go-to airport.

We would fly in as often as we could. Mrs. K. came in more often than I did because she could manipulate her schedule. So we are having a major expansion of this airport. My little mind cannot figure out what they are doing, but it's going to be a huge facility when they are finished. In my opinion, the inconvenience of the expansion has been minimal. Wouldn't it be cool if we had more direct flights to Europe?

Between the airport and United, I wouldn't go out of my way to fly out of here again. United premier checkin had one couple in front of me that took over 15 min. So may issues- over weight bags, bought the wrong kind of ticket, etc. only one person for premier and one person I. Regular checkin. Going through pre-check, young kids took long. Wheel chairs going ahead, etc. Got to gate c and only 1 place to sit for food and drinks. Line so long and no chance to to sit and eat. Got upgraded, raised my hand and walked to counter but layout is such that I couldn't get through the people. Lost the upgrade. She just gave it away immediately. Not a fan of this airport for United. Suggest bringing own food and hovering upfront with everyone else no matter what.

Tampa International Airport consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of operational proficiency. The architectural layout and passenger flow are remarkably intuitive, making the process of flying in and out genuinely simple and fast. When traveling with my husband and children, mitigating transit friction is paramount, and this facility fundamentally eliminates the typical stressors associated with modern air travel. Beyond their logistical prowess, I must commend their digital marketing strategy. Their social media postings are, quite frankly, hilarious. It is rare to see a transportation entity execute such a witty, engaging, and culturally resonant online brand. It reflects a high degree of organizational intelligence and a keen understanding of modern consumer engagement. Tampa International sets the premier standard for how an airport should operate, seamlessly merging frictionless travel with brilliant public relations. It is a consistently superior experience from arrival to departure.

We had to park in the Dolphin lot so you need a shuttle and they don't drop you off at the terminal, but in short term parking. The airport itself is small enough that it's so easy to get around and is my choice for flights. However, recently we decided to go right into SRQ and we loved being at our favorite Sarasota spots right after landing. After landing we were quickly able to navigate the small airport, get our rental car, stop for caffeine and be at The Ringling all within 30 minutes of landing. The airport is small so it's easy to navigate but that also means there are not a ton of amenities. We enjoyed local artwork and displays throughout. Also, the volunteers that provide airport information and tourist information were very welcoming.
