Absolutely appalled by the incompetence of the staff. Tried to sign up today, was told a couple of weeks ago that all i need was a lease with my name on it. I'm a new resident and I'm still changing my id's and billing addresses. Spoke to a lovely gentleman a couple of weeks ago and was told as long as i have the Secaucus lease with my name on it, I'm eligible to sign up. Today spoke to a nasty woman who told me that i was misinformed and in fact do need ID with Secaucus address, I politely reminded her that i know at least of 4 people that signed up with ID's from different city's and provided their Secaucus leases, she told me that's not true and I was lying. I literarily know 4 people that did this with no problem and multiple staff members from the gym notified me that the lease is all i need. I understand that sometimes people are not trained well and might be misinformed, I worked in hospitality for 12 years, but this woman, besides being completely clueless, was incredibly rude, interrupted me and even raised her voice. Not sure what she is going through, but we just signed up for LA Fitness and will never go to Rec center. Please retrain her, she is a horrible employee. read more

This is a great place to have a party for your child! My God daughter's 3rd birthday party was here. It was relatively cheap and the room was set up and they clean up the room for you. If your into theme parties like basketball or pool, the rec center has both and can be utilized during the party. Great spot! read more

If you live in Secaucus, you can't pass up this deal. Basketball court, weights, and pool all for around $150 per YEAR. I play hoops there all the time and court is nice and new. read more

If you want a clean spacious place to work out this is where you wana go this recreation center is by far the best! There's so much inside it is like the towns personal gym! The people who work there are really nice as well They have awesome changing rooms which are aways kept clean which is amazing and they have showers and lockers inside to there's a huge parking lot out front so you don't have to worry about finding a spot They have a huge indoor pool an idoor basketball court an indoor track that goes around the basketball court they have a weight room and so many other rooms inside this place is great i absolutely love it In the back behind the recreation center you'll find a zen garden perfect for yoga and meditation but this place is outside so you might not wana go to the back when it's cold out lol they also have stone benches set up in the garden and bird feeders set up around so you can relax and watch the birds you can look out to the creak as well cause it's right on the creak which is a nice view early in the morning The rec center is right across from the town pool so in the summer when the outdoor town pool is open its hard to find parking but koelle is a long block so you can park along the street if you don't make it to the parking lot read more

Swimming lanes are NEVER open in the evenings. There is always a training group training from 7-9. I was told they train some times at the time of joining and wud move to swim center across the street in summer. Waiting since past 2 months and they are still there.. Tired of calling to check if the lanes are open. read more

At one point this would have been a 5 star review. This place had so much potential. It would be awesome for the location, and services for the price. But they have let it deteriorate. It seems like there is a different machine broken every day. Soon it will be filled with "out of order" signs. The machines are becoming broken rust buckets and nothing is ever maintained including the water fountain that gives you an electric shock that has been broken for over a year. The ventilation is horrible and the workout room becomes a sauna especially when they have swim meets. Please please please fix these issues and this place would be great. read more

The new rec center rocks! It has a basketball court, a 25 feel 6 lane pool, a great weight room and multiple rooms for fitness classes. The price - $120/year! Shockingly amazing, I have no more excuses to not go to the gym! read more
