Really nice pool but sometimes is crowded. The lifeguards are good and always alert. They should train the girls at the door to be more organized.

Coming from LA, where beaches are almost always packed this was such a nice change of scenery. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to just slow down and enjoy my walk .I also loved seeing so many people biking along the boardwalk it definitely inspired me to bring my bike next time it was a simple but memorable experience, and I'm already looking forward to going back.

I absolutely loved the Gansevoort Peninsula! I'm so glad my friend suggested we walk over there. We…read morespent a long time strolling, people-watching, and taking in the incredible views of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan skyline. The area is beautifully designed, with plenty of places to sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery. There's even a sandy beach area with umbrellas and Adirondack chairs that gives the whole place a laid-back, vacation vibe right in the middle of New York City. We saw people picnicking, exercising, walking their dogs, and simply enjoying the outdoors. One of the things I found especially interesting was the salt marsh on the north side of the peninsula. It's the first one on the Manhattan side of the Hudson River and is helping to restore the local ecosystem with native plants and millions of oysters. It's a great reminder that even in a bustling city, nature can thrive. Between the river views, public art, green spaces, and endless opportunities for people-watching, this was one of my favorite discoveries on this trip. I could have stayed for hours just soaking it all in. I need to bring others here and share the beauty of NY with them!

At thr entrance just to the left there a sandy area. A little pretend beach as my kids say. Complete with beach chairs and umbrellas. There's a designated dog run area but pets are allowed on leashes in other areas. A cafe is near the right side entrance (leads to the soccer/sport field) . Bathrooms are at that end as well, they were in decent condition. Great area for taking in the sunset.
