She was VERY picky about where she wanted to go, and Skincraft was her pick after much online vetting and reading. I made an appointment online 5 days prior, and made a $25 payment deposit toward the appointment. We live over 45mins away from Skincraft. On the way to the appointment, we ran into significant delays due to a motorcyclist that had been killed. After detours, etc. we arrived at the appointment 15 mins late. They would not see us. I understand keeping business moving, but after all the challenges we faced, it would have been nice if they would have worked with us and got us taken care of. I'm sure they could have made up the time throughout the rest of the evening. Needless to say, due to unfortunate circumstances, we were out $25 and not provided a service. They did offer to reschedule, but making the trip that far will not be repeated. We will stay closer to home. Make sure you're rigidly on time here, or they'll swallow your deposit and send you packing. I'm not keen on establishments that don't offer some flexibility.

She also pierced the fat on my girlfriend's stomach, not her navel. Today the lovely people at Beelistic informed my girlfriend that she didn't even have the anatomy for a navel piercing. Go here if you would like to spend top dollar for piercings that will eventually need to be re-done by more informed piercers! Ridiculous!

He was also super helpful when I went in a few months after my first piercing because the earring was stuck, and switched it out for a hoop for me. There's a ton of options for jewelry and he'll listen to where you want your piercings to be (and if you wanna move it too). Both times i've been here my earrings have been at the perfect angle, and he definitely works with your ear shape and anatomy and tells you whether or not certain places will work. The prices are SUPER reasonable for the quality, and cartilage usually cost about $30ish. tattoos also start around $50 i think. great shop, great atmosphere, fun times.

Jewelry that was put in was the type that inserts from the back and has a ball that screws in from the front. After they had healed and I went to change the jewelry one of the earrings had been screwed on so tightly I couldn't remove it. Stopped in to have them unscrew it. 30 seconds total (using a hemostat to clamp the earring to remove) and she charged me another $10. Nobody mentioned this charge at all when I asked if someone could try to unscrew it or when I was called back to have it done. Great way to drum up extra business. Secure the jewelry so tight you have to return and they have to remove it with a hemostat. Then tack on an additional fee. I've had other friends with bad up-charge experiences too. One friend called to see how much it would to have her ears pierced and was told $50 over the phone. She ended up getting double piercings thinking it would be $100 and walked out with a bill over $300! Be sure to ask what the total charges are before you even sit down and get it in writing if you have to use their services. Or better yet, go somewhere else.

While there I started to think about a possible tattoo and brought it up. She told me it would take an hour to draw it up and I was willing to wait. After an hour, THEN she began to draw. Sat there for 3 hours as she was drawing and noticed her nodding out. I told my sister to watch as I was unsure if maybe she was just getting very close to the iPad. Nope, my sister watched drool come out of her mouth! Unfortunately I didn't have the guts to say anything but I knew I would not allow her to tattoo me after this. After the 3 1/2 hours of drawing (that she said would only be 1) she assured me that she could do it tonight (it's already past midnight that this point). I told her I would be back and never returned. I've seen a review somewhere else that she was nodding out since then, so this isn't new. If you're tired JUST SAY THAT! The fact that she was reassuring me she could do it that night after nodding out multiple times is ridiculous. Not to mention she was asking my sister about any tattoos she may have wanted and responding to each idea by telling her she didn't like it or pushing a completely different idea and telling me all my other piercings were "off" and how she would have done them .00001 of an inch different. I decided to go somewhere new to get my hair done. I was looking for a change but did not want to…read morego with the fashion colors I had been using as they just don't last. So I called for an appointment and they were able to get me in a reasonable amount of time and my stylist would be Michaela. As I was driving around looking for the place the sign is a little hard to see but it is in the same building as the George's Pharmacy in Batesville. The shop is nice and spacious and she told me about 15 people work there. I was greeted as I walked in and Michaela came to the front and got me and took me back to the fair. After some discussion we decided that lowlights would be best and that it would be low maintenance and that was exactly what I was looking for! I also had her cut a couple inches off of my hair. I had a very good experience in the shop and everyone was nice and if anybody's looking for someone to do a good job on their hair they can reach out and request Michaela.

My first experience at UniquInk was this past Saturday (3.29.2025), with Sara. We texted during the…read moreweek to improve the design I suggested for a lower back tattoo. Sara created 3 alternatives and was open to changes so I was happy with the very detailed design. Upon my arrival, Sara greeted me promptly and warmly. She took the necessary time resizing the stencil for proper fit and placement in the area. Music was on during the entire tattooing process, which I loved and provided distraction. Sara is extremely personable, upbeat, and kind. We took a couple of breaks over the approximately two hours' tattooing, which afforded me time to hydrate. Sara made sure I was as comfortable as possible while she worked, and our conversation was enjoyable. At my request, she took a couple photos with my phone when the tattoo was complete. I was blown away by the finished product; it was completely worth the time and any discomfort. (For those unfamiliar, the lower back is a high pain area.) Sara is an amazingly talented, dedicated artist who is concerned with her clients' complete satisfaction with the body art for which they come to her. I am interested in additional tattoos and will definitely book again with Sara. The studio itself is very clean and has a relaxed, cool atmosphere. I've also met the owner, Mel, who has a wicked sense of humor and is an excellent artist. Parking is convenient and plentiful. I would recommend UniquInk Tattoos to everyone!
