Came here after dinner on Saturday, 11/23/2024. Arrived around 8:30 PM. It was a small crowd inside…read morebut since my friend was smoking a cigar we could only sit outside under the heaters on the covered portion of the outside sidewalk. Nomad offers no food just liquor and hookah. They also have cigars for sale but you're allowed to bring your own cigars. I had a Mango mint hookah which was considered to be one of their regular flavor options. The hookah was very flavorful and after about an hour - they changed the coals. The menu says that there's a 2 hour limit on the hookah. However my friend kept ordering drinks and therefore they didn't enforce that rule. You are allowed to bring food in and eat it as long as you're drinking. There are TVs inside and outside and there's music playing as well. The servers are attentive and friendly and I would come back.

Nomad is cool for what it is. Not the most glamorous lounge, but not sketchy either. As they do…read morehave an inside lounge, most people enjoy the outside patio area. They offer a nicely priced happy hour, if I remember correctly. They don't serve food. The drinks are pretty standard. I've never been wowed with my service here, but I've never been disappointed either. Nomad is pretty much a local neighborhood hookah spot that is just good enough. Would I go back? Sure I've been plenty of times! But don't expect fancy or glamour.

Is it fair for a regular to comment? Maybe... maybe not...but this is my favorite hookah bar in DC!…read more The service is great - I can note several of the bartenders by name (Yulia, Chrissy, JD, Simca just to name a few) and they recognize me -- so it's a local vibe for regulars, but open to new regulars! That said, there are busy nights (typically on the weekends) so you will need to be a little patient and may need to arrive earlier if you want a seat. That (also) said, I'll ask you - where can you get sushi and hookah? It's like the best combo of bougie and ratchet - I think they call it sophistiratchet. The hookah is consistent and reasonably priced when you consider some of the other spots who outsource their hookah to vendors and charge double the cost. The music is always good - ranging from current hits to afrobeats to oldies. Try it out and see what you think!!

This place almost passed the vibe check on the surface... the DJ was cool. The floor was nasty,…read morechair was wet, and the springs were non existent is the sunken couches. Ordered a hookah the first one the brought had cloudy water and stuff floating in it. The 2nd one was better but burned harsh the whole time. The drinks were terrible. I got a margarita and all I tasted was sour mix. My friend got a lemon drop... again full of sour mix. The service was subpar, the waitress couldn't hear anything we asked and ran the our card without giving us an itemized bill. Didn't even bother with food.

I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred at Rose Bar on Saturday, November 1st,…read morearound 11:48 PM on the second-floor bar (where DJ Ratchet was performing). There were two bartenders working at that time. The bartender in question was not the Asian woman, but rather a woman who appeared to be mixed with Black and White. Her behavior toward me and my husband was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful. From the moment I approached the bar, she was unfriendly, dismissive, and gave me dirty looks. She then made a highly inappropriate comment toward my husband, stating that she was "out of strawberry Hennessy but sweet enough for him," and later propositioned him for sex in exchange for money. I ordered two drinks -- a Jolly Rancher and a Long Island. My drink had no alcohol in it, despite costing nearly $50 for both drinks. When my husband returned the drink to the bar and mentioned that it lacked alcohol, the bartender laughed and called me a "bitch." This experience left me deeply uncomfortable and disrespected, especially as a married woman. It is unacceptable for staff to engage in such inappropriate and sexually suggestive behavior toward customers. The bartender's actions made me feel unsafe and completely unwelcome, and I will not return to Rose Bar as a result. I am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately and that appropriate action be taken against the bartender involved. I also recommend that management review its employee conduct policies and sexual harassment training to ensure all patrons are treated with dignity and respect. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I am available to provide additional details if needed. Date of Incident: Saturday, November 1st Time: Approximately 11:48 PM Location: Second-Floor Bar (where DJ Ratchet was performing)

Rosebar is definitely aesthetically pleasing and the djs are dope. The issue here is the…read morebartenders. They all look the same (light skinned, long black hair, and fake lashes) and all have the same stank ass attitude. Like they aren't on the clock to work. Maybe give them a class on smiling and turning up with the crowd because that's what they should be doing. I used to bartend and I've never had the attitude that these ladies have. All on their phones just standing around annoyed. Additionally, why don't yall take major credit cards here? No American Express, no discover? That will be the reason I won't be back and if it wasn't free to get in, I definitely would have went to one of the parties next door. Lastly, the girl (dark skinned black girl with braids) that was working the front door on Sunday for the white party is a bitch. And I hate to put it that way but she let us go out with the security standing there because we were coming right back, she said it was cool. We come back and she makes me pay $30 to let my husband back in and was making a big deal, yelling with an attitude. Even though we were just inside and had been told by her and security that we could come back in. It was awful.
