Y'all my first time at allure was a TIMEEEEEE ! It was a Wednesday or Thursday (karaoke day). I went for happy hour and ended up being there ALL NIGHT. It was very fun, the service was good, the drinks were hitting AND everyone in there was friendly & was just having a good time. I was literally like this is finna be my new spot. I ordered the steak & cheese egg rolls and they were very good! NOW- you might ask .. so why is your rating a 2? I was lowkey always a bit paranoid being at Allure because it's so dark & small little holes in the floor/seating ends. A big a* roach ran by my foot from the couches & it was as big as a water bug but it didn't fly. Then !!!!! My sister and friends went like two weeks after. They was the first ones there for HH guess what ran out? A RAT - a big a* one too. They also said the vibe was a bit different. Too much smoke (cigarettes, weed, hookah) all in one. I really hate that a rat ran by them inside because I would've went back. Now I just can't. To know that I had some of the food there makes me nauseous. If you are not scared of them, go for the drinks. That's all. read more

Me and hubby Had a blast on a Wednesday! The DJ played All the hiphop and R&B hits and the vibe was chill. I hear it gets packed on the weekends. The hookah, food and drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. When I'm DC again...we will be back !! read more

Came here for the towers. I've been here multiple times for the club but never came when it was chill enough to just eat and vibe. We got two margarita towers and the crab egg roll and steak egg roll with some truffle fries. Everything was delicious. The towers were strong and a great price. There was a paint and sit also happening during the time we came. The music was vibing and people were just dancing and having a good time. Service was great they were quick and prompt with everything. I would definitely come back for the paint and sip and food. read more

Not gonna lie - my husband and I had a good ol' time here! We love a small bar with great energy where everyone's just having a good time. The bartender was super friendly and gave me a heavy pour on my wine glass :) The music was live and upbeat - everyone was either dancing in their seats or getting up to dance. We only left because it got a little too smoky for me (it's clearly a hookah lounge so that's moreso my problem, not anything the bar did wrong), but we definitely would've stayed longer because we were having so much fun on a random weeknight. read more

This is a cool little bar/lounge spot on the h street corridor. It's got a long bar with couches aligned from the entrance all the way towards the back area. They host a variety of events from paint and sips to karaoke, on this particular outing they provided space for a networking event which coincided with their happy hour. The happy hour menu (which runs from 5pm-9pm) features a few different food items like wings and fries in combos or individually as well as beverages such as $8 cocktails and $5 shots. Service was solid the bartenders did a great job of taking orders and making drinks in a timely fashion even given the large group we had. They also had a DJ playing hip hop, r&b, and afrobeats music throughout the evening, so overall a solid spot if you're looking for something simple and lowkey. read more

The food is ON POINT! 4-9 happy hour specials allow for options. I was extremely hungry and needed something to prep for the cocktails. The wings were fried crispy with just enough sauce. The cheesesteak was 12 out of 10, flavorfully seasoned. Promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Took my family out last Saturday to celebrate my niece's birthday and had a great time! This lounge is probably one of the worst places I've been to Hst. Walking in, the atmosphere seemed cool but once we seated ourselves and waited 15min before we tried to flag someone down to come over. Mind you, there was a waitress next to us taking care of another table, came back and forth and still never greeted my friend and I. We finally got the attention of a young lady and was able to place our order after about 20min. The hookah here is delish, very nice and fresh! The music was nice and catered to the crowd there. Although we enjoyed the hookah and music, our waitress never came back over to check how drinks and hookah was, second round drinks, if we needed a new coal, nothing! We had to almost get out of our seat to flag her down just to pay, she or any other waitress there was was completely unaware. Anyone could've easily walked out on their tab. read more

1st time here. Came here for a Valentine's day event. Missed the happy hour so I can't speak much on those prices, but I did get a margarita which was STRONG for about $13. Normal price to me compared to other establishments I've been to in dc. I also had a chance to indulge in some wings and fries. I order two baskets. These wings were jerk and lime flavored and infused with liquor. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The fries were hot and fresh, and crispy just how I like them! I will be bookmarking this place to visit again and try other food items because I was so pleased with the food. It's a small bar, and great for couples. They also had a DJ that came in about 8p and they had great music before the DJ as well. All r&b jams! Now the reason this isn't 5/5 is because of the service from the bartender. While I was trying to place an order, the bartender started taking my order, but midway started a convo with the manager. I understand you still have to run a business but I would think you can give me your undivided attention to take my order at least then proceed with your manager. I don't really care about the convo but the short time she stepped away she forgot what I wanted. Also, I asked for the flavors of wings they had. The bartender gives me the rundown and I ask if they have simple buffalo wings. She says yes and places the order. Furthermore I asked for two drinks and she only made one, and she forgot to make it right away at that. It wasn't until we made eye contact and she remembered I ordered a drink. I guess that's why it was extra strong you know, to make up for it. Moving along, I get the drink and go on about my date, the chef comes to me and asks about my order. She states that the bartender put my order in for the jerk/lime wings and told her to just add sriracha and make em hot. Idk how the chef figured this wasn't right but she personally came to me, told me that's not how she conducts business, gave me the rundown of what she had available, and even let me sample the sauce before she rang in my order. I tasted the sauces and placed an order for the wings which again were delicious. So good I ordered two baskets. The chef and her customer service was so amazing it won me over to come back and try more food. I had a great time, the bartender threw me off but the chef saved the day! read more

Great place if you trying to trick one of the bartenders. We sat for 20 minutes before WE received a drink. We never received a hookah menu. She said that there was only one hookah menu. For a quick stop and hookah this is a gem for quality drinks and service this is not the spot. Come here to chill. I can agree with the posts about the music. On point. The big disappointment came with the drink quality and price. Bought two mixed drinks, served in those tiny clear plastic cups (like what u see at a doctor's office for the water cooler), for $27. It went sideways when I took a sip of my gin and tonic and realized there was basically no gin, lots of ice and tonic. Adding the small cup size and price, it was a waste. The DJ's sold me with the music. The a/c was also pumping. The promoter on Weds for all aw wee Weds was very nice. The bartender was pretty slow and she really wasn't up to suggestions either. I do wish that they explain that the food won't be there until about 8:40pm. I planned on eating while I drank. But it didn't happen like that. The atmosphere was really good and the @bigjerk came with the jerk blessings. After tasting the jerk chicken and that special sauce I had to grab some for home. read more
