I heard bad things about this place as far as stuff stolen in the past, but met the new managers and they've improved security a lot. It's also clean now, and the new managers are exceedingly friendly and helpful. I must get things in and out a lot, and so far, never a problem. When loading my car, I accidently left my parcel shelf outside my locker. Could not come back for a couple days. The managers had it saved for me. read more

Check on your unit. This place is not safe at all. Sundays and after that office closes..... it's a free for all here. The dude in the red SUV has been seen in about 8 different units. He spends the night drilling locks and placing his own lock on people's units. He then invites his friends with moving trucks in to clean you out. These people and this guy drill locks in broad daylight. I've caught him looking inside my unit when he drives by. He enters and exits through the front gate. If the rats don't destroy what you have.... these people will. They are working hard everyday to hit as many units as they can. That flea market has them coming in the day before to steal goods to sell. That SUV has been here a week straight. From 6am to After hours. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! I DON'T EVEN CARE IF YOU HAVE A GREAT DEAL! THERE ARE BETTER DEALS IN STOCKTON THAN HERE! IF YOU WANT YOUR STUFF STOLEN AND PAY FOR SPACE, YOU FOUND THE RIGHT PLACE. Management is non-existent. This week there was a substitute manager who was helpful but probably heard everyone complain about how the criminals took everything. MAJOR breakins in the past few months. Not just one unit, many many at a time. THEY TAKE EVERYTHING! Either they take everything you have or go through your containers and throw the empty containers in your storage so you have to clean it up. I lost at least 95% of my belongings in one of their biggest units, and have to spend the next weeks, on my time and my gas to spend in the hot sun, cleaning up someone else's mess. I don't live in the area. There's no security, corporate doesn't care about their customers...it's your fault for renting from them. NO, it's their fault for not fixing this problem LAST YEAR. I've never rented storage in other locations that would allow the criminals to keep stealing. They always up their security and do something to fix the problem. I feel sorry if you think you can trust this place. I've rented from almost every major and many minor companies since '89. This is the absolute WORST. There is absolutely no reason for you to bring your things that you want to keep safe here. Just hand them over to your local meth lab or any knock walking down the street.....it's pretty much the same thing. These units will be get broken into and robbed and the police department is never called. The employees here do next to nothing to keep your thing safe. Even though they have cameras crawling around this place they still can't control who comes in and out people stay overnight and lives there. I personally have even thought that the employees here have a lot to do with her since there is basically nothing done about your personal property disappearing. Also there is a trailer park next-door do with that information what you will. Most of the units are either bolt cut or drilled locks. Imagine people living in the storage unit but also these units getting broken into continuously. Make it make sense please. The units in these images that you see with half of the stuff hanging out of the door...stay like that for weeks. They definitely have rats or mice and roaches. Try being a minimalist because I promise you the other storage units places around here are also trash. read more

I have had storage at this location for nearly 3 years. When SecurCare took over initially we had no problems except a couple inexplainable price increases that weren't grand enough for us to consider moving our unit. Just yesterday I went to my storage to remove some items and was met with filthy hallways AND rodent droppings. This place USED to be immaculate as they advertise. I have items that were ruined in my unit. Couches, misc furniture, kids toys, clothes, and kitchen items that are covered in droppings. Not just my unit is filthy but the whole facility. Not to happy with the way they do business. Today I closed a account with them and there was a total of $7 that should of been prorated back to me. But since they don't prorate but the statement said $7 was left on the account. I told the guy working there I don't think it's right you guys don't prorate. But if I leave my stuff there you guys charge another month right away he said yes we do. He said I'm not here to answer questions. I'm just here to say yes sir no sir. I moved frequently in my youth so my property represents more than physical possessions. The property I retain represents cherished memories which are priceless to me. So, I looked for storage facilities that provided high quality physical facilities and service for the price. SecurCare Self Storage easily exceeded my expectations in all areas. The location of the facilities was close to a major highway and accessible through a key coded gate lock. The grounds were well cleaned everyday by staff even after I left refuse in the hallway after sweeping my unit. I was able to store and organize my storage unit contents late into the evening because of extended gate hours. The greatest benefit for me were the strong exterior flood lights and security cameras that allowed me to work safely on my unit late into the night. The owner and staff provided timely communication whenever a payment was late or when I left my storage unit improperly locked. This gave me a feeling of confidence that my property was in good hands. Lastly, it should be noted that I take a great deal of care in how I package my property before storing them. My furniture was professionally wrapped by a moving company and all other items were stored by me in strong, clear plastic boxes. So, the rare presence of rodents were not an issue for me. I DO NOT recommend this place. When you first rent from here it goes smooth with out any issues. They sure do make it seem cut and dry simple when it really is anything but. There is price increases, mandatory insurance that doesn't cover anything, rodents whether you have food or not. YOUR BELONGINGS ARE NOT SAFE HERE! I rented here because i went out of town for a few months but ended up leaving my things in storage where i believed they would be safe. I finally began sorting through my things and noticed about half of my paperwork and clothing i had stored there were torn up or nasty because of rodents. I put things in there that were of value to me and now not only are my things not worth keeping, the whole entire experience here was worthless and did more damage to my belongings than if i would have left them with someone. Luckily the rodents were unable to get to my pictures or stuff I have of my moms who passed away years ago. Oh, and if for any reason you are late paying, do not expect they will work with you or even allow you to put more stuff into your unit until you pay in full. They switch up the days for lock out and denying gate access and they will laugh in your face as they tell you. Not all of the employees are bad but there is a few i actually feel sorry for because karma is a *****! Not even sure the monthly payment is worth paying just to get trashed things now. It is mostly all garbage that i would have to haul out and dump somewhere else since the outrageous rental, fees and insurance doesn't cover access to the dumpsters that are not even 10 ft from my unit. read more

I started renting my unit in Dec. 2016 had no problems they know I was homeless the staff was very kind, caring and helpful. Then things started changing I started seeing new staff I would ask where the other staff was , I was told that they rotate and that they were at a different location. I said ok but I did like it and found it to be odd. I thought to my self I have been here quite a little while I never scene this before I wonder why,way now. I thought maybe the company was just making some changes to see how it would work out. But then I met this lady I didn't know that it was a manager. At first she came off as kind , but she turned into the bitch from hell. She found out that I was homeless and she has been trying every since then to get rid of me. Nitpicking everything I do having people watch me while I'm there. Having people watch me while I'm there, putting a cap on the water, two trash cans have a locks on them. I was told I've been people moving out was the only ones that would have access to them. Then I was told by staff that there is nobody that can use those two trash bins that they were for office use only. And there would be a $50 fine or bring trash on or near trash can and I took pictures and this signs saying there is going to be a fine. I got very upset and told her but I did not have a home to take the trash out to so it would be hauled off and I need to keep my unit clean. Cuz if I didn't would cause bugs rodents and bad odors would be coming from the unit. She did not care do not want to hear it said I need to haul it off not even a small bag was going in that dumpster. I said it goes against everything in me to dump trash anywhere but and trash can we argue little bit so I dumped it where was she would have to see it in the corner of the lot. To make a long story short she is not like me ever since I told her I do not want to be there anymore then she wanted me there. Try try to leave and get a different unit somewhere else it cost too much money I was not able to do it. I did not get all my stuff out and I had to stop renting second unit. So I moved and bunch of things out of my unit. A couple months ago by I started asking for a bigger unit I was told I would never, remind you I had only been late with my rent one time I get to check she said that I canmot ever have a bigger unit. I ask why and she said that I knew why and that were not going to be going over it again. This is not fair I try to stay away as much as I can but they take my $80 every month what's up with that. I steel need a bigger unit she's trying to make my life harder then what it is well that not going to happen cuz my life is already a living hell I'm staying there and I'm going to get a bigger unit I think it's discrimination because I'm homeless you know what I kind there there is laws against this kind of Behavior I'm staying there I cannot for the move and shouldn't have you. read more

This storage facility is horrible , I have been here for about 4 years , it was previously owned by extra space storage and let me tell you they had it so clean!!! But the new owners have it horrible it's Sad. You can walk along the facility and you will se rat and mice droppings everywhere, the floors are even sticky. Unfortunately I had to give my storage away to a lady that was brave enough to pick it all up. My storage was badly infested with rats and mice and I told the front people and they said unfortunately they can't prevent that from happening and if I had food in there it was going to happen, but I didn't have food and my stuff was in containers! It was clothes , shoes , and miscellaneous household items. Well when extra space owned it I never saw a rat or mice dropping so I'm sure it can be prevented. I do not recommend this facility at all, people please don't pay 80+ monthly to basically feed the rats. It's ridiculous , you guys need to do something about it. Your not only messing around with a service but your messing with personal property. And that's just not ok. read more
