I have been a client here since they opened in 2005 and consider my storage part of my rent. Fifteen years of paying storage, most people think I'm nuts. But - In a town where there is no parking, - I see my unit much like a garage. I absolutely cannot live without it. I moved to Sacramento for my job and didn't know anyone. I had no place to store my things and was still looking for an apartment. I saw these units with all the cameras and the alarms and knew it was a bit pricey - but you know what? This is all my stuff. I can't lose it by storing it in some cheap, outside container with no surveillance. Not once have I ever thought that I made the wrong choice. In 2015, I had to go out of Country for 14 months and was worried about leaving my storage for so long - to which Gus and Sara said - "we got you" - and six months into my relocation, the flooding happened all over the County - and Sara called me. "Don't worry, the creek is high but we are dry"... and they kept me updated with emails and voicemails. Two years later, I came home to everything exactly how I'd left it. I even paid a year in advance and saved a month's rent! There is NO FEELING like being away from home for years - and coming back, to the place where everything you own has been locked up in a square space behind a rollup door - and you roll that door up to see that it's all exactly as you left it. Your life is safe and sound and you can just pick up and move forward without any worries. This is why I've been a customer for 15 years. I know I'm not an easy client but I know that these people do a fantastic job and that it's not always followed up with gratitude. I can't imagine anyone going to another storage facility when places like the Security Public Storage on Franklin in Sacramento exists. The facility is fantastic! It's climate controlled, kept so clean, absolutely secure, alarms everywhere, and really run very well and obviously organized. I think it also has THE MOST competitive prices for all that is offered and available. But the best part about this facility in particular is the management. Alex and Krystal personally took the time to attend to issues that I was having. They are very professional and courteous and so incredibly helpful. I have had my storage at this facility since end of 2010, when it was under different management. And I really would not use a different one, especially with Alex and Krystal coming on board. We phoned and made plans to store my sister's household items prior to arriving at this facility. We selected this site due to its close proximity to her new residence. GPS routed us onto a different access driveway but the manager came outside and stayed on the phone, guiding us right to the office. I was pleased to see the surrounding area neat and clean. We had special circumstances when finishing up the contract but the managers assured us a name change would be possible whenever we were ready. I was looking for a storage unit and I had called several places and the prices were high but more so the customer service. Security Public Storage units go so quick but I was able to finally reserve a unit online and I was excited. However, the real kicker was the amazing couple that worked in the office the day I came in to complete my paperwork and finalize my unit were so sweet and they made sure I had all the necessary information about my unit, took me to the unit and I believe that people who deal with the public face to face or on the phone should have wonderful customer service, and this place did. read more

This is a pretty decent storage facility. it's inside temperature is always comfortable no matter what the weather condition outside. even though they may not give you any love on a late payment. Meaning if you're over a month late on a payment, your not getting in your storage unit at all. Not even if you've been a customer for three years. However; they are very helpful in other areas and extremely polite. The facility is also very clean. One of the best storage facilities I've experienced. I do wish they would extend their hours of operation for us working people though. read more

Don't confuse Security Public Storage with Public Storage. I have nothing but good things to say about Security Public Storage. Both times that I've used their service I got a discount, found the place clean, the employees courteous and professional. It's my go stop for storage. Plus it's right by the freeway which makes it easily accessible. Recently I rented a unit for my granddaughter. She was happy with the discount rate for six months. And Josh was very kind to us. I would give zero stars if I could. Do not get any storage unit from this storage facility if you want peace of mind. If you want to invite chaos( chaos is defined as a state of utter confusion. Please take that in for a second) in your life rent here, if not keep looking for another storage facility. This location has been nothing less than amazing. The managers are always friendly and extremely helpful. Find ways to help you save money on a space. I've had many circumstances in my life that require me to need a storage facility. Off and on. But the facility I will always go to as long as I'm in town. I have been storing with Security Public Storage for a while now. They are GREAT! I know that my things are protected. The have a GREAT security System. What I love about it is that you can drive right into the facility, so you are out of this terrible weather. And that my unit is individually alarmed. And they even include Insurance in their rates. I visited my storage unit over the weekend and was not able to figure out the lock. This is the 3rd time. The staff had no problem in assisting me to access my unit even though this is always my issue.
