To accommodate those in wheelchairs (or for the entertainment of small children) they have a button on both sides of the front door that will automatically open it for you. They don't have onsite parking but there is plenty of street parking available in the area. It is recommended that you book before turning up to this medical centre as they are usually quite busy. Booking in the morning you will obviously have more of a chance of getting in and seeing your selected GP. Although this medical centre has all the niceties about it, it is very expensive. I suppose it is Remuera and that's to be expected, but it's certainly not cheap to come here. They do however accept community service cards which can sometimes help discount the price.

I've been to the Anglesea Clinic (urgent care) on a number of occasions, for myself, my children…read moreand also when my mother got sick while visiting from the United States. As an urgent care facility, they are open 24/7. It's generally first come, first served, but given the nature of its purpose, there is a triaging process that might see some people get seen before you do. That said, I've generally had good experiences here on the whole. When my mom visited here, they only charged her about $75 for the entire visit and that included a prescription for antibiotics (which she filled at the pharmacy next door). When I've been for myself and my kids, I generally find shorter wait times in the early morning hours. However, I did go recently at 8:30 am and had to wait 2.5 hours with a feverish baby in my arms for all that time (they only had 1 doctor working until 10:00am! Not sure who came up with that staffing schedule...). As a physician myself, I would say that the quality of our evaluations have been good. On one occasion, they directed me to take my infant to the local pediatric emergency room. They called ahead and forwarded our information before we got there. This is what you should expect, but, it was nice that it actually occurred. On a different occasion, I waited quite a long time for my infant to be triaged, because the person at the reception desk failed to put his name on the waiting list. That was probably the worst experince that I've had here (we waited an hour before I questioned them and then found out the issue). Overall, if you need some medical care outside of business hours (or the GP has no appointments for the day), this is a fine place to come and get seen. There is a children's play area in the waiting area. I'd recommend bringing snacks/other toys if you're coming with children, because the wait is likely to be on the long-ish side. They will sometimes let you add your name to the waiting list and then leave and come back if it's going to be a really long wait. So, that can be an option for some. There is also a cafe nearby if you want to go grab a coffee or bite to eat while you're waiting.

They finally sent it on Monday, but by then we had already missed the deadline and even the second request date on 4th February. Very shortly thereafter, Dr Ruoh Sim saw me. Even though it was the end of his shift, he heard me out on ALL my concerns and provided a solution for each one. I received a breathing treatment in the office, and the doctor gave me prescriptions before I left the office. Visit was 1 hour in total that included roughly 45 minutes of treatment time. Note: I am traveling from overseas, paid out of pocket, and had a flight scheduled for the following day. Dr Ruoh treated me with all of these factors in mind. Professional, kind, and thorough.

I've been getting horrid migraines, and wanted to know if I could prevent them rather than just take Nurofen when the onslaught starts. Dr Moonsinghe was a nice lady and asked me lots of questions, but in the end, you guessed it, nurofen was the answer. (yay for doctors and the magical 'asprin' potion) However, she was thorough enough to recommend blood tests, and a follow up if things didn't get better. It was nice to be taken seriously, and the receptionists were good too.

I have been enrolled as a regular patient at Glenfield Family Doctors since I moved to the shore a…read morefew years back and my most memorable experience here was meeting Dr Lydford for the first time, after realizing I was pregnant at around 4-5 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage Glenfield Family Doctors were at their old location inside the Pharmacy on the same road just a few numbers down to the left. Years on, I continue to visit Jocelyn for check up's and when I come down with the flu, and also bring my little 16 month old to visit her when he also gets a bug. I love the new location of 575 Glenfield, as they are situated inside a bungalow and it's very homely and bright. The reception waiting room has some great toys and games for my little toddler to amuse himself with while he waits his turn too which really helps ease the time. The doctors and nurses at Glenfield Family are a wonderful cheerful group of ladies, who are professional and experts in what they do. I am always well looked after in every respect of my health when I walk in the doors of this clinic. Thanks so much Glenfield Family!
