Katrina was amazing! First of all she was very calming and down to earth. The moment I spoke to her on the phone I knew she was the photographer I wanted to work with. She explained EVERYTHING and knew everything about the area/process as well. Coming from NJ I wanted to "press the easy button" and that is exactly what she did for us. The flowers and wedding officiant she got for us were perfect as well. The bouquet was exactly as I wanted and she was even able to get out of season flowers (peonies) that I really wanted. On top of this I had a medical issue and we had some weather the day of the wedding and this combination called for a last minute location change. She found us a beautiful place the night before that was amazing and had less hiking since I was restricted, but we were still able to get the adventure feel with an easier hill to climb! Let me start off by saying Katrina is the sweetest woman alive!! My venue package included a one hour session with a photographer who turned out to be Katrina from Sedona Bride. After talking with her through several e-mails, I decided to add on another hour along with digital files of the pictures. Katrina was so easy to talk to and was a quick responder. We are so thankful that we found Katrina & Andrew to photograph and celebrate our wedding with us! At first, we were concerned that such a big chunk of our budget was going to photography, but now that everything's done, we believe that that was the most worthwhile $ we spent through our entire wedding process! With our custom photography package, we decided on an engagement session, a day before wedding photo session, and the day of wedding photography. When we made the decision to hire Sedona Bride, we loved their photography but two major things were crucial in our decision. 1) When we contacted them to see if our wedding date was still available, we were actually finishing up a long day of venue appointments in Sedona and Katrina was finishing up a photo shoot, so she met us in person to talk about our vision and see if she could find out what kind if story we wanted to tell with our pictures. That was such a personal touch. And 2) On their social media site, we saw the most amazing engagement photos on top of Cathedral Rock. We knew THAT'S what we wanted. So our first photo session was done on Cathedral Rock Trail. Now, my husband is an experienced hiker and he has hiked many times before. I had never hiked before. But, Katrina was willing to work with us to get us up as high as we could go and take amazing pictures along the way (just in case I couldn't get all the way to the top). Turns out we made it to the top and got our spectacular views for our engagement photos!! And Katrina spent over 4 hours with us, taking beautiful photos of us and helping me on my first big hike!! Our next photo session was a special "day before wedding" couple photos at Red Rock Crossing with Cathedral Rock in the background. Katrina was very thorough in getting all the different beautiful angles and making us look as gorgeous as possible. She understood the kinds of pictures we wanted and she did everything in her power to get them. We luckily were able to catch the Red Rock sunset glow on a few of our pictures and even at the end we zoomed quickly to another special spot just to catch a few more sunset photos! And what can I say with our day of wedding photos? Both Katrina and Andrew spent about 10 hours with us and captured all our special moments from beginning to end. Their pictures very simply can tell a story without any words. They functioned not only as our expert photographers, but Katrina also spent time calming me down and comforting me when a monsoon flash storm came rolling through the outdoor ceremony site about 30 minutes before our start time. Katrina and Andrew worked so hard for us on our wedding day, and we truly appreciate it. We are soooo excited to see our wedding photos when they have finished processing them...it will be like reliving the wedding day all over again!! Katrina at Sedona Bride Photography was our dream wedding photographer. I knew I wanted her to capture our wedding from the moment I discovered her on Instagram, and saw the warm, kind smile in her eyes on her website. Taking a leap of faith, I booked her for both our engagement shoot and wedding photos. Wow, did Katrina exceed our expectations. My now-husband and I are awkward in front of a camera, but are goofy and love to have fun. Katrina made us feel relaxed and natural; she felt like a friend; and her positivity and cheerfulness made us enjoy the entire shoot. For our engagement shoot, she agreed to a trek up to Cathedral Rock. The pictures we took there in October were absolutely magical; we couldn't believe how dreamy and breathtaking they turned out. Feeling like friends after this shoot, we were so excited to see her again at our December wedding. Katrina shone even more brilliantly on our wedding day. There was rain and snow in the forecast, with clouds threatening to ruin our outdoor winter wedding. I was so afraid our wedding planner would call and say we needed to move the ceremony indoors, but Katrina arrived on-scene bubbling with energy and excitement. She told us the pictures would look fantastic in the snow, and that we had to stick to the original plan! I'm so glad we listened to her, because we started the ceremony with thick, magical snow, which cleared into warm sunlight mid-ceremony. The pictures are incredible, and I am so thankful that we chose a photographer who was not only a good sport about taking pictures with her expensive cameras in the cold and snow, but who actually encouraged us to do this! Moreover, you know a photographer is truly good, when family members tell you after the wedding how much they loved her. Advice to engaged couples: book Katrina early! She books up quickly for peak Sedona wedding season in the fall. We got the most magical light in late October. Had the pleasure of watching Andrew take photo's for a gorgeous 1 hour wedding last weekend in Tlaquepaque square -a difficult area to shoot in as it is shaded and people not associated with the wedding are continuously walking through the shots. Andrew came very prepared with two huge camera and he brought extra light sticks. Andrew was professional, efficient, and super courteous to everyone involved with the wedding.
