I began to follow their work, energy, professional and decided to reach out to Infinity Locs by Shantel located at Summa Locs. I spoke with Shantel in November about what I wanted and also scheduled a consultation and installation date. Well, today was that day! Upon arrival, there is planet of party, the business is spacious, the welcome was warm. Shantel began with introductions and consultation, she's extremely knowledgeable and thorough! I felt comfortable right away and was excited to begin the micro loc process after deterring the goal size and method, interlocking vs two strand twist! We went with 3/8 size and interlocking. The parts/grid were precisely executed. I've already booked my next 2 retie appointments. There were 5 stylists in the shop today. All of their work was beautifully executed on healthy hair. At that time, she was unavailable due to a health break but confirmed via email on November 13, 2023, that she had returned and was offering the 2-Strand Twists Extensions service. Following my initial appointment on April 28, 2024, I continued to use Kida's services for multiple appointments, including a wig installation on July 26, 2024, and wig coloring on August 4, 2024. During my appointment on August 29, 2025, Kida was asked to blend my V-part wig with my natural hair. During the service, when I inquired if the colors matched, she replied "No," with a laugh. She then clarified that she had only matched the wig to the ends of my hair, a decision I found both confusing and unprofessional. I had a payment issue with Kida via the StyleSeat platform, which was complicated by the fact that I didn't have an account with it and checked out as a Guest. When the payment failed to go through on August 31st, Kida said StyleSeat informed her the charge had declined. However, my bank showed no pending transactions, and I repeatedly clarified to Kida that I lacked an account and had checked out as a Guest. After several exchanges, Kida suggested I pay via Zelle. To confirm the correct course of action, I contacted StyleSeat directly. When they confirmed the original charge would not be re-processed, I immediately sent the payment to Kida via Zelle and expressed my thanks. To prevent future issues, I later reached out to Kida to establish a new payment method, explaining my preference for booking directly with her and paying in cash in which she agreed. On October 2, 2025, I texted Kida to schedule an appointment for October 17th and inquire about the cost but received no response. I followed up with a voicemail on October 3rd; I was again met with silence. Beyond the lack of communication, I was disappointed with Kida's professionalism and integrity during my August 29th appointment when she knowingly selected a color pallet on August 4, 2024 that did not match my natural hair and appeared to find the situation humorous, despite my need to wear the wig for an event. The characteristics I value in a hairstylist, such as attention to detail, strong communication skills, and integrity, were notably absent from my experience. Based on this, I would not recommend her services to others.

I was just looking for someone who specializes in not only the color but keeping my hair healthy. As a blonde it's very frustrating to spend so much money on the perfect color but then sacrifice your hair growth. Mariana spent over 30 minutes doing a consultation for me which I appreciate because she didn't just jump in and put bleach on my hair because she wanted to make some money and was limited on time. We scheduled my hair appointment the next Friday and it took a few hours with processing because she does not put me under the heat dryer which my other cosmetologist did and that caused so much damage to my hair. I had to have color correction since I had so much banding I have brown hair level seven but I also had platinum blonde pieces & brassy yellow pieces all over and she explained to me that baby highlights are more damaging than just bleaching out the root and that way every time I come in she's just focusing on the dark root and we're not overlapping bleach. I was never explained any of this before and I've been with my other hairstylist for over 15 years and I should've got a second opinion much sooner but I always left with the brilliant color just fried damage hair from my other person. I'm super happy I thought this would take multiple sessions to get where my hair needed to be but actually I'm pretty thrilled with just that one application she did for me and a beautiful toner I never thought I could have hair like this it's pretty much beautiful mermaid hair!! My account was compromised along with others so she got a new booking system. When I called her to explain my online booking problem she said she would call back,, that was Tuesday. On Saturday I called her back and because she is soooo busy she was fake rude and said she understood if I wanted to go some place else. No assistance at all. Bottom line, Premier's online booking service better work for you. She has no back up plan and won't accommodate you no matter how loyal you have been.
