What a great way to spend an afternoon! They are easy to learn and everyone is awesome! My 12 year old son had no problem learning to operate the Segway (our instructor was awesome so I'm sure that helped). We will definitely be going back to experience the sunset ride. Our guide also recommended that we try Tide Tables for dinner across the bridge in Cortez. What a great recommendation! It was by far the best restaurant we visited during our stay. read more

Enjoyed a great tour guided by Jack. Because June is off season, we were able to use a discount and had a private tour for our family. We especially liked seeing the wild peacocks on Longboat Key. Crossing the bridge wasn't as scary as anticipated although the fishermen didn't seem pleased to see the segways. Most of the trip was conducted in the shade and the machines were new and in good repair. I would have liked to hear more about the history of the area, but maybe less information was given because we had our 9 year old on the tour. Definitely recommend Segs by the Sea! read more

Down on vacation on Anna Maria Island; decided to try a family Segway outing. Scheduled with nice lady (Julie?) for the next day. Very nice & helpful. Next day we had a little rain roll thru - called from nearby and she said they were watching storm and we would make a decision close to appt. time. Rain stopped and we went to Segs. Greeted by Joey, our guide. Awesome guy!!! After some quick instructions Joey took is on a 90 minute tour. He was a great guide, taking wife's cell for dozens of interesting pics. Took us all thru BB and Longboat Key, stopping often to take in sights. Riding the Segways was simple and once you got the hang it was a lot of fun. Anyway, a great tour, lots of fun. Service was awesome. Good quick lesson. Took a private self-guided tour and we got a nice 1-hr experience... Went to bridge and back and got some nice pictures of beaches and got to see some of the other spots. Nothing much really to see but just experience the beach-line... Definitely recommend. It's always fun to ride the Segway. read more

Don't use. Tour not that great. Had to stop and "talk" a lot just to make it last 90 minutes. Mostly about himself. We were mislead about the price of the tour and then the owner took my credit card info over the phone and said that it would not be charged until after tour. After tour, took my husbands card (same card) and charged again. So we've been charged twice. Super sketchy. read more

Great trip this am w/ our guide. We were worried because our rez was made by our mistake for tomorrow (which we couldn't do). Called Julie and she was able to get the guide to make it in within an hour and we were off. He was very good w/ the kids and made sure to show them anything of interest on the way to the south end and back. Kids wanted a coconut, and he tracked them down. No matter he did so w/ the help of a local landscaping crew. My son is still here w me cracking them open. Would definitely do again. read more

We rented bikes at Segs by the sea. Amanda was very helpful and able to easily answer all of the questions that I had. It is recommended that you reserve bikes one day in advance of needing them. Prices were very reasonable; bikes worked well with one exception. One of the bikes developed a flat tire. Segs sent a truck with a replacement bike and picked up the bike with the flat tire and we were on our way. read more
