I am so, SO happy we decided to stop here instead of battling to find parking at Beach Bums. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by what seemed to be misplaced ski-bums, but misplaced was not the case. The two men were extremely helpful in explaining the bikes, where we could ride, equipping us with lights/baskets, and helping our little dude get the right fitting and a feel for his big tire mongoose. The prices are unbeatable. We rented 3 bikes for the week and it was seriously the best decision we made on our vacation. The island is small, and built for pedestrians and cyclists (not those damn golf carts... only kidding). The bikes were cute and kicked major butt on the few times we had to get off of concrete. They also had cute little turtles you could honk, and boy did our little guy enjoy it! Overall the experience renting the bikes was super easy, it almost seemed too easy! The personality of the owner felt as if we had known him for years, same goes for the employee. I also mentioned I meant to buy sunscreen, and the employee brought out two options, one of which we should've taken (hahaha). Anyway, choosing to rent here would be in your best interest. 5/5 would rent again! Thanks guys for helping to make our vacation easy and convenient. We stopped into Lazy Turtle Beach rentals today and met the owner Joe. Joe is great! Friendly, funny, and down to Earth. He taught us how to use a scooter and we spent an hour riding around looking at houses and just having fun. He offered to let us try the motorized bicycles but sadly we were out of time. What a wonderful place to do business with. Very laid back and friendly. We rented two 8 seater golf carts for our party of 10. They worked out perfectly for all the butts and the stuff for the beach. We had two in car seats and those were provided NO CHARGE. Love that the rules of the road require a seat belt for every person and NO lap riding. This is strictly enforced. We had no issues and used the golf carts all week. This kept the sand out of our cars. read more

Came here with my girlfriend looking to have a different way of transportation. The owner greeted us with a smile and was very friendly, down to earth. We decided to rent two single rider scooters to roll down the island on. The scooters were in pristine condition. They rolled smoothly and were definitely cared for nicely. After a week of rolling around, we rolled over to Lazy Turtle to return them during a storm. The owner was once again extremely pleasant to talk to and greeted us with towels to dry off! It was definitely money well spent. We will most definitely come back here the next time we are in the area. It was an overall great experience. read more

This place has the worst service. We walked in to inquire about renting scooters and the guy behind the desk without taking his face away from his computer screen chuckled and said "don't bother I can tell by looking at you your over the 383 pound weight capacity" yes my boys are on the larger side (6'3" 290 and 6'1" 301) but they are NO WHERE near the weight capacity of 383lbs. After mentioning to him there were more professional ways to have this discussion and trying to explain we were not over the weight capacity he continued to talk over us at one point calling my son a "fat @ss" and saying these were new scooters and he didn't want them broken! For what these rentals cost a little bit of customer service would go a long way. This guy is belligerent rude and if I owned this business would be unemployed read more
