I have been paying for a quarterly service for interior and exterior exterminating services for several years with Seitz Bros. This entire past year, Seitz Bros has been sneakily doing only the exterior without informing us about not doing the interior while I continued to pay the same quarterly dollar amount. I was later informed that Seitz Bros stopped leaving receipts too so I couldn't verify their service. To add insult to injury, I realized they stole money I left for cleaning services people previously. I called Seitz Bros on the phone multiple times and asked for a return call from a supervisor and never received one. I also sent several emails requesting a response and never received one. I'm quite shocked at how terrible Seitz Bros customer service has become. It wasn't this way in years prior. I am very disappointed in Seitz Bros customer service and actual operations and will look for a deserving company to give my money to. Shame on Seitz Bros for lying and unprofessionalism. read more

Made an appointment for 9:30, two weeks in advance for removal of a wasp nest in my front living room drop ceiling. I stressed my urgency being that I have a 4 month old and we've sealed off that room in case it breaks through. Day come, never shows up nor calls. Call the office no help. My name is Tony C. from Tresckow PA. Long story short. I had signed a contract for sevice from Seitz Brothers in Tamaqua for Termite treatment. Harry W. from Seitz met with me and assured me that what I needed was "Rodding" ( Drilling every 12 inches around the perimeter of my property and then pumping a solution of Termidor SC into each holes with their machine which I already knew because I had researched this for the past 2 years). The date of treatment was May 21-2024. Two men arrived that day to begin treatment. I explained to them that I was in the process of getting new sidewalks around the house and unfortunately the work was beginning the same day. The men from Seitz went over what they were going to do, with me. I did not feel that I needed to "babysit" them. WAS I WRONG !!!!!!!!! They were finished sooner than expected. (I was so distracted by the asphalt company being there too.) I asked the guys from Seitz if they completed everything and they both said yes, (By the way the one fella was from Mahanoy city and the other fella was new to the company and he was from Tannersville. If I new their names I would post them). I noticed they were NOT using Termidor SC and questioned them about that. They said that what they were using is what they always use. No biggie...maybe it was. Anyway, I did pay them in full. After they left I checked their work. I DID NOT SEE ANY DRILL MARKS OR PLUGGING on the Street side of the sidewalk of my house where asphalt had been removed and it was just dirt and on the other side where the original sidewalk was there the drill holes were every 20 inches...not 12...I have pics of that. I went inside feeling like I had been ripped OFF (and I was--these two "kids" cheated and tricked me!) What do I do? I had just paid them. The next day construction continued around my house (which they knew was going to happen because I explained this to both of them). Besides a few pics I cannot really prove that the work was not completed and the incorrect chemical was used. What a fool am I. I tried to orchastrate the termite treatment from Seitz before the sidewalk construction began however The asphalt company started when they started and that was that. Why I trust so called professionals at their word like Seitz Bros. i will never know. My writing is a bit scattered but truely I never felt MORE ripped off in my life then from Seitz Brothers from Tamaqua PA. $2,000.00 plus, down the drain ! They get a big fat ZERO ... period ! I am writing to let all consumers know that this exterminator should be avoided. They have no idea what they are doing and they are fraudulent when it comes to invoicing and running a business in every regard. They never told customers that they were bought out, that they don't know how to interpret contracts nor do they know how to properly invoice the amount due to a customer. The Manager Molly Kennedy is never there and when she is there she is too big of a big shot to answer customers and has no idea what she is doing either. They can't confirm appointments with their automated equipment either as they are computer illiterate. Get a better company that cares and can run a business and that you can get proper details from. Best of luck to all customers in finding a worthwhile exterminator that is going to take good care of your home or office exterminating as these people won't. read more

The Technician service to the home is outstanding. Very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very efficient. However, they have a major billing issue. After 2 months of service, I finally got a bill that told me I was already past due. No compensation was given except that they were dealing with a new system. The other issue I have is their contract agreements. They force you into a 1 year contract at $52 a visit, which is monthly. If you do not need a full year of pest contract, say to just get rid of a small roach infestation, they then charge you $100 cancellation fee, claiming that there have been too many customers that have done this. They put this on a small screen, on a mobile device, and the tech does not tell you that is costs to cancel. So, you either pay $624 for service you may not need or $100 to cancel it. This is a rip off in my book. Do NOT use this service if you do not want a full year of service and/or cannot afford the $624 for the year or $100 to cancel later. read more

I called Seitz because I had an ant problem a few days before I was leaving for vacation. I have driven past their building a hundred times growing up, they have a fun "pest of the month" sign on their building. In December, the pest of the month is "Roof-tapping Reindeers." When I called they were very friendly. I told them I was going on vacation and they squeezed me in that day! 30 minutes after I called, the technician was at the door. Marty was very professional and friendly. He walked around our house inside and out and looked to see where the ants were getting in. He gave us the plan of attack and an estimate. He sprayed the house right away, we didn't have to make an appointment for him to come back another time. They have a 90 day guarantee, so if we see any bugs anywhere in the house, we can call and they will come back! They also offer a quarterly service. I am happy to say when we came back from vacation there were no alive bugs in our house! read more

My father has been ill and his house has been closed up for about 4 months. During this time mold had taken over his basement. I have never had to deal with a situation like this and I wasn't sure where to begin. I found Seitz Bros. website online and had them come out to take a look. The salesperson, Aaron, was very friendly and helpful. He provided me with options and quotes on the spot. Today Seitz Bros. come to my father's home to perform Mold Remediation. I met Gene and Jimmy from Seitz Bros. this morning at 8:00. They were prompt, courteous and extremely friendly. I pointed them to the problem areas and let them get to work and I left. I immediately felt comfortable with being able to leave them in the house alone while I went about my day. Later in the afternoon they called me to come back and show me the work they had done. I was amazed at the care they took to make sure that the house was mold free and safe for my father to return to. They went above and beyond what I had expected from a Mold Remediation company. They even took the time to explain why the mold was there, how long it at been there and how to prevent it from coming back. I am extremely satisfied with the work that they did. I will recommend Seitz Brothers to anyone I know for any of the services they provide which include: Termite and Pest Control, Mold & Asbestos Treating & Removal, Radon Testing and Mitigation, Basement & Crawl Space Waterproofing and Fire & Water Restoration. I sold my home, paid up all invoices, made sure i called and asked are we all squared. Year and change later i got collection agency sending mail telling me that i owe Seitz 74$. How about a curtesy call if you see there's a balance, especially for a client of 2 years or how about competent staff that actually answers you honestly and not just to get you off the phone. Now i have to deal with collections over imaginary 75$. Real professionals. read more

I've always had good service with Seitz. They did my home for termites. In one treatment they were gone for good. They came for a mouse problem. He told me to put Nutella on traps. There was only one mouse. I have a contract now for carpenter ants and rats. They return free of charge if ants or rats seen in between 3 month visits. Thank you Seitz! read more

This is by far the worst company on the face of the universe. I advise you to never use them for waterproofing your basement. Not only wll they do a terrible job with the quality of work, but they may not respond to yur emails or phone calls for an excess of 3- 4 months. They gave me a lifetime transferable "warranty" on their work. What a joke. They actually would like to charge an additional 800.00 in addition to the 5,000.00 I already paid to fix a mistake that they made. I can't believe the nerve of this company. I wish I would have never used them and used a company that 1) knew what they were doing. 2) Had better pride in their work. 3) Reponding to their customers promptly. 4) Honored their word. 5) Didn't avoid taking car of issues. 6) Fixed their mistakes at their own expense. I promise you...if you use the seitz brothers for waterproofing your basement..they will screw you and you will be left in a very bad position. Normally I don't write reviews because I believe everyone has their bad days but in this case its 150% warranted and they will NOT get a 2nd chance from me ever. Called to have a new radon unit installed, the guy came and we discussed where to put it and the process, the day he came I got home he did NOT place it in the spot we spoke of (if he for some reason couldn't he should have contacted me before just placing it somewhere), he spilled the sealant all over the floor (funny enough not 1 thing was actually sealed), he broke lights in the garden where he stood on the outside of my house and didn't bother to pick them up, leave a not, or anything. He put the pipe through to the outside to close to our hose water spicket so you couldn't turn the spicket on/off. I called the company told them what happened and sent an email to them with photos, they said a manager was going to contact me but in the mean time they'd send someone back to fix it, I was home when this guy came and he was in shock that this happened. No manager ever did call me and every time I contacted them to speak with one I got the same answer "no one is available at this time but we'll have someone contact you right away", a simple apology from someone would have been nice! I am just wondering how many people out there have a radon system from here that was NOT installed properly and they are wasting their money and ruining their health, if you had a system done by these guys you should have it checked! read more

I used Seitz Bros. for basement waterproofing in 2011. Five stars for reasonable price, one star for shoddy workmanship. They left big blobs of concrete everywhere... the reason why I'm writing this now is because due to an upstairs bath remodel, we must use the basement plumbing and one of those blobs just popped through the fiberglass bottom of the basement shower... and the toilet is sitting on a concrete blob as well and wobbles back and forth and leans to one side - a lot. I wish I could post pictures here. And concrete splatters all over. Oh, and back when they put in the sumps, the basement flooded shortly thereafter. The dampness in the basement caused the sensitive outlets to trip, and the sumps were higher than the floor and the water could not drain into them. They couldn't send someone out to pump the basement until the next day, so we had to do it ourselves. I hope that they've since "cleaned up" their act. They were much cheaper than other places, but as the saying goes, you get what you play for. If I were considering them, I'd ask to see a recent job they've done before hiring them.
