When my transaction was over but we were still dealing with an issue and seller had funds in escrow I found out she went on vacation.Nobody is more of an advocate than me of relaxation, vacation, and time to recharge- but in my case it would have been helpful to know she was going on vacation as I did not find out until after several days of email with no response that I decided to call the office. She did graciously send an email during her vacation to the sellers so I do appreciate that. She was also able to negotiate a sellers credit when the sellers were pretty firm about not giving one. I would definitely recommend Melissa's office to anyone purchasing a home in Bergen County.

After 20 minutes, David Bliven informed me the session had come to an end. Then, he said the $275 was for the review of the document and the $100 was for the consult. I thought I paid for 60 minutes initially. I was very disappointed. I spoke with the secretary Nia at least three times for confirmation. I was definitely misinformed. The company took my money but did not provide the service requested. Highly disappointed especially after I called several times to confirm services being issued before I gave my credit card. The lawyer also tried to persuade me to litigation for something that was easily mediated to finding resolution. I ended up doing the mediation on my own. Only benefit was the legal documentation that encouraged my tenant to work through mediation, which any other lawyers could have done. I tried to the end the relationship cordial, but got really angry when I realized that they did not sending a bill that showed the retainer was used to settle this bill. Per contract, the retainer was to be kept in reserved until the end of the contract. Hence, I realized that I was charged even more than I had originally thought to instruct this lawyer to do this job. I don't mind paying for the service if I felt it was warranted. I also would not have mind paying for the service if I felt the lawyer was looking out for my best interest. But this was not the experience. I got more stressed after speaking to this lawyer.
