While there were some caring individual staff members, our overall experience was extremely difficult and frustrating during an already emotional time for our family. Communication was one of the biggest issues. We frequently struggled to get updates, follow-up responses, or clear answers from nursing staff and administration. Requests would often be acknowledged but not followed through on unless family members repeatedly advocated in person. Medication coordination was also inconsistent at times. We had to repeatedly ask about comfort medications and pain management, and there were delays in getting medications administered after being ordered. We often felt that our family had to closely monitor and push for basic follow-through. The facility itself generally kept my father clean and accommodated some meal preferences, and there were individual hospice staff members who showed compassion. However, the lack of proactive communication and responsiveness from the facility created a great deal of additional stress for our family during end-of-life care. Families considering this facility should be prepared to advocate heavily for their loved one, ask frequent questions, document everything, and follow up persistently.

The staff has been so helpful on checking on him often and taking all possible measures to prevent a fall. They are very nice to my father and therapy is great! The administrative staff listens to any concerns and takes great steps to improve any needs. They encourage rehab pts to get up and moving if possible. They have so many activities, it seems like every 2 hrs. I'm a nurse myself and I know each pt would always rather be at home, but for a skilled nursing rehab they do a very good job for those pts that are not safe to be home just quite yet! The nurses will call us to say he had a good morning with therapy, or just to keep you informed. We have been pleased so far! Cons: Food isn't the best. Dinning hall could be updated. Make sure name is in clothing so they don't get mixed up.
